Hi Natalie, it may be unfair for me to single out this video from all the other excellent material you provide but I found this to be incredibly good. I am not a great one for ‘drills’ but this was extremely quick and effective at getting my body turning through impact and the quality of strike and increased ball compression are clearly visible. Thank you. J
This video plus one showing need to move left hit back early on downswing will be great help for me. I tend to be a hands and arm player and find it especially difficult to do a weight shift from an uphill fairway shot… Thanks again for great tuition.
just exactly what i have been looking for, been a few years at least. now i can come thru the ball on a shallow approach, more time and longer straight window thru impact area. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍❤. thank you natalie !!!!!!!!!!!!
This tip really was a game changer for me because it helped me realize I have been coming out of my swing posture for years. Last two golf rounds, hit my irons better than in years.
Thanks for all the coaching tips Natalie. As a female senior golfer who didn’t start playing until I was 54 (66 now off handicap 16) I find your explanations very precise, helpful and easy to follow. I wished you lived in Australia.🦘🏌️♀️🌹
This gives me a great feeling of extending my arms through impact. Thanks for the tip, so useful as you can do it during a round to reinforce the feel.👍
Hi Natalie. So to be clear we are not dragging the bottom of the stick on the ground with our hands; but with the proper rotation of our body. Correct? Also the purpose of this drill is to assure ourselves the the head of our club must drag behind just before impact to the ball. Correct? So with the above in mind I simply rotate the lateral lead muscle of my thigh outward to get all the other muscles cooperating as my entire body to rotates throughout my downswing. Utilizing the lateral muscles in our thigh as we keep in our golf posture until the end of our swing is the key to our perfect swing and we can clearly see is the key to professional golfer swings as well. Rotating the lateral lead muscles of the lead thigh inward on the backswing and then outward on the downswing is the key to an infallible swing. Cheers
Both correct, the resistance that the ground provides means that you will engage better muscles to get the feeling of the movement through impact, you won’t just move your arms unless you do that deliberately
Great explanation I am working with this for a time with my pro. I left my arms more passive, and have trouble with impact. but with your explanation your arm are more active? Can you tell me how start the downswing in combination with the downswing? Many thankss
you need to start your downswing with your pressure shifting from right foot into left foot, before you reach the top of the backswing with the club. this will create a chain reaction of you turning lower body towards the target that then turns upper body towards target that then releases the arms and club towards the target. let me know if you need any help with this.
Hi Natali It is good to see you again .I emphasis lot on this too to my students if you want to creat that optimal speed.I like to stay informed as always while even watching your videos and helps ne out if my teachings are in consonace with great pros like you.where are you based right now ;i guess in England .Is your Golf clinic there.Iam.Nanzoor (PGAI) pro from india. you’ve got too much pressure in your toes on your downswing and/or your hands have moved too much towards the target line on your downswing. take a look at this and if you any further help let me know ua-cam.com/video/rWIFd8xKPXU/v-deo.html
@@SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING I really want to say thank you ma'am! The video is excellent. I have no idea why thing has happened. i used to be a really good golfer and after playing a round in the 70's, I've lost my mind. I do not trust my take away to the point that I'm watching the club go away from then trying to hit the ball.......SCARY! Thank you for your referee material as i work through this. can't get golf lessons due to COVID and finding got instructions is tough. Beautiful work!
Ouch, I didn't notice the burn until others mentioned it, but I am a guy :) Natalie, can you comment on the subject of keeping ones back towards the target for as long as possible in the downswing? Seems to work for me when I get it right, but I would love to hear your thoughts.
Hi Paul yes keeping your upper back towards the target as you start your downswing but rotating your pelvis towards the target creates more separation (a higher angle difference) between your upper and lower body so basically you have increased your coil/torque/twist which means your up upper body will accelerate faster through impact - which is a good thing
Natalie...I would assume this is more for irons as opposed to a driver swing??? Meaning your hands wouldn't lead with the driver as one would be swing 'up'.
I disagree. You do not “swing up” artificially. Every swing is an arc and ball position mostly dictates if you hit it up or down. In case of the driver ball is much further forward comparing to the iron so you hit it on the upward part of the arc while in iron case it is positioned in the lowest point of your arc. I think the more identical yours swing every time the better.
SMASH FACTOR GOLF COACHING I noticed your arm too. Oh gosh! You poor thing.😧 Hope you had an Aloe Vera plant in your garden to apply to it at the time.🌹
You can make a point on one end of the alignment STICK and stick it into the club shaft through the grip hole. Leave enough of the CANE sticking out of the grip so it would be placed against your lead side! I make slow practice swings with a wedge and try to keep the CANE from whacking my side via flipping! Good feel and reinforcement drill! Cheers Oh don’t use a POLE cause it’s too big!!

Great looking drill can’t wait to try it x

I tend to have good rotation but sometimes hang on too long for a big old hook !
Do i need to drop the club first in front of me before I rotate?
You need to rotate and “drag” the club with you

Is it because she’s kept on saying alignment “Pole” instead of alignment “Stick”?
