ביקור שכנים ומכות קרובים.
גוזל הנשרים ממשיך לקבל ביקורים שונים בדרגש הקינון. חלקם רגועים והאחרים פחות.
הביקור הרגוע היה של הרחם (Neophron percnopterus) השכן. רחם עדין ונחמד שרק רוצה לנבור ולאכול שאריות מזון. אבל, גוזל הנשרים לא אהב את הנוכחות שלו אז הוא התאמץ לאיים ולגרש אותו.
הביקורים האחרים כוללים כרגיל קצת מכות....
כרגיל, וכפי שכבר דיווחנו, נשרים זרים נוהגים לנחות בקינים פעילים של גוזלים בוגרים ואף לתקוף ולנקר את הגוזלים ההמומים. כל זה מתרחש עד שהאמא או האבא מגרשים באגרסיביות את הזרים התוקפניים.
ככה זה. יש ביקורים נעימים ויש פחות....
E51 and Unmarked males’ grownup nestling is receiving visitors frequently - some are pleasant and some are less… First was the odd innocent&harmless Egyptian Vulture (Neophron percnopterus) seaking for some leftovers for its hungry nestlings. Despite the Egyptian peaceful temper (or is it because of…?) The young Griffon behaved aggressively and insisted on chasing it away!
Other visits include some pecking and slapping… as expected. Each breeding season we report foreign Griffon Vultures scrutinizing active nests with developed nestlings - soon to be fledge - bullying the dumbfounded nestlings and giving them some hard time. All this lasts until the proprietor rushes back to show these “Vultura non grata” the way away! That's how it goes now - some visits are pleasant and some are less..
