1800 rounds through mine. I love this gun. Super accurate, great trigger, looks great. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the iron sights but that's a cheap enough fix.
@xCMG1987xjust bought one, my only other guns were a cz82 and a glock that i didn’t shoot much(hated the polymer) im loving the M&P, 100% good as first id say
As someone unfamiliar with your channel I literally jumped in my seat a little when you were testing the trigger and shot a fuckin round off lmao. Not sure if you normally do it that way but I appreciated it.
Been looking at this one very closely every time I go to my local gun Shop, the weight, the craftsmanship, the grip, is one of my favorite guns. Definitely on my bucket list 👌
ATF: this is attached to your hand attached to you arm attached to your shoulder. Therefore it is a felonious short barreled rifle... Very dangerous... Unless you register it with us.
How much lateral movement is there in the slides? I live in the Czech Republic, sorry for my English. I've been to a local gun shop where I've only seen one M&P pistol with a plastic frame and it had huge, I mean really huge side clearance(play) between the holster and the frame, far more than any Czech pistol, any Glock pistol, HK pistol (everything else had much smaller play). I wanted this gun full size, thread and aluminum frame, but if the clearance was going to be as much as I saw or similar, I wouldn't like it. I know, it can shoot accurately despite the huge side play, but I still don't like it. Plus I was planning on buying a mount to hold on the frame.... meaning it would definitely cause inaccuracy. Is this lateral movement much less with an aluminum frame compared to a polymer frame? Thank you for your help (answer).
Recently got my handgun permit, first time shooting was last week and I shot about 8 different pistols and this one was hands down the best shot and felt the best, picking it up next week. Great review
Bought this gun and Love it, had the M&P 2.0 Performance Center CORE same size love that gun too. I put a Holosun Green dot on it HE507C-GR X2, awesome sight just a little big but so is this gun, love the review as well
Something I’ve noticed with a lot of videos on this pistol, idk if it matters to anyone, a lot of them are the Optics Ready version which has the front and back serrations. Non optics ready (idk if you’d call it that) only has back full height serrations and like 1/3 height serrations on the front. I haven’t seen anyone mention that. Correct me if I’m wrong. Great video. Thank you for the information.

plus it's just so damn PRETTY. Looked at one at my local FFL. Was surprised at the weight, it's much lighter than I thought it would be. I think the specs say it's only 2 ounces heavier than the polymer model.
My favorite metal band is definitely Make Them Suffer. I'm very interested in this gun. I've been amassing quite the collection of polymer 9s and while I have a couple 1911s (45s), I don't actually have a solid steel "modern" pistol
Ive been looking into getting a hellcat but i like this look better. But looks can be deceiving. I need to test them both out before buying. But i love how this looks.
Love your presentation Sean. Is it wrong to say that I enjoy your on-screen persona more than John? I have a hard time listening to hipsters regardless of whether they are friend or foe. Your casual demeanor is far more palatable than the comedic try-hard that John was known to portray. Do not get me wrong though. I still enjoyed _some_ aspects of the old Pew Pew Tactical. However, the relocation from CA to TX was sorely needed. I remember the plethora of complaints when John had to review "State Compliant" models. It was dreadful - no doubt. Nonetheless, I appreciate all the hard work Mr. Curtis. Stay classy my friend.
Not wrong Bert, everyone is entitled to their preferences. One of our core values is appealing to a wide audience while having fun and providing good information. We appreciate you staying with us as we grow!
Favorite metal band is Led Zeppelin, a copy of whom all other metal bands are. This is the 1st Smith auto pistol I ever really liked; I would seriously consider buying one if I needed a 9mm semi-auto pistol.
i am honestly on the edge on deciding on this gun over the PDP Pro Compact (magazine issues are my concern). I also noticed that there is no mounting solution listed for the ACRO-P2. I do not like open emitters. Still waiting on the verdict of the people from the USA about the M&P9 2.0 Metal.
Reach inside of empty mag well with index finger and push on rear of front strap. It will pop off. Cut length of electrical tape (width and length to match espoused metal frame strap and place tape on espoused front frame strap. Pop front strap grip back on. No more wobbles.
I dry fired one of these at a local gun store, and while I like the metal frame, looks, ergos, it still has that M&P crunchy, gritty feeling trigger that I can’t get past. If they redid the trigger this would be stellar. Thanks for the video 👍
Our pleasure! That's an interesting take on the trigger. I always thought they were squishy at first, not gritty or crunchy. Then I realized it's similar to a two-stage and I really liked it.
@@pewpewtactical yeah and sometimes shooting stuff at the range is different than dry firing. I guess I was spoiled by a CZ Shadow 2 SA I used to have. Best trigger I’ve ever used.
I have a shadow 2 orange and the m&p metal the shadow has the best trigger I've ever seen out of the box but the flat faced trigger on the metal is a huge improvement from the shield hinged trigger I must say overall I am pleased with the metal
Such a great video. Have not done any research on this. I own the EZ 9 which is only 8+1. I totally loved the METAL rock play on words, too. Favorite band is AC/DC but they aren’t considered “metal”🎸
And they're still kicking ass to this day! I do love the new lineup but I am glad that I got to see them at Ozzfest back in 2004 with the original members!
Good video! Do you know if this metal frame OR version will accept the Holosun SCS RDS directly mounted? The other OR versions have suppressor height sights that protrude way too high into the optic window.
I have a polymer M&P 2.0 which is by far my favorite pistol. I've had it for several years now. I've been debating whether to go with the all metal version or not. Any thoughts from anyone out there?
So my birthday is coming up and I’m looking for a gun to take to the range, this is gonna be my first gun purchase for anyone in the comments would y’all recommend this handgun or any other suggestions?
Cradle of Filth. I haven't held a M2 Metal but I hate all of the "in the trigger" type safeties. I'm still very interested in the gun. I have a 5" and a Shield plus. They're great.
Perhaps this is an obvious question, and if so, I apologize; does this only take the 17 round magazine, or are smaller round magazines compatible? Thanks!
Black Sabbath but only because they pioneered metal. It's hard to choose one just as it's hard to choose one gun. The Metal 2.0 looks awesome but i have my sights set on Caniks rival S
Best all-metal 9mm? Have you forgot about the CZ SP-01, CZ Shadow 2, Sig p226, Sig p229, Beretta 92. I’m sure the m&p 2.0 metal is good, but it’s a stretch saying it’s better than those highly proven pistols.
Does anyone else notice there front grip has some wiggle movement? I just want to know if this is normal or not. It doesnt bother me terribly but if it's not I'd like to tighten it up.
Good review. One thing I can’t seem to find are sight options for use with the RMR. It looks like the sights are too low for even a lower 1/3 view through an RMR. Does S&W make taller sights or is that an aftermarket item? Thanks.
