Hi Doc. I have been watching as many videos as possible to learn which is the least yet efficient way to build and launch a community app. I see potential but how best can I earn money back in 30 days time. Do you suggest subscription based membership? Or affiliate pathways? Also, is is cost efficient to host on a server at my house? presently I use Blue hosting for a small website. Would these options be less than Adalo hosting?

Great question! Glad you're enjoying the content. It depends if you're looking to have a native app or PWA (progressive web app). If you want to create a PWA (progressive web app), you simply need to select “Mobile” when creating an app in Adalo, then click “Share” and scan the QR code (or send via SMS) to install on your phone. Thanks Doc! This looks like it could be a great way to keep all my online course products in front of my customers. I could use the app as a way to serve up sequential learning materials on my Yt channel a lot better than the way they have to rely on Yt's recommended video up next. Hey great question! Adalo does not have that ability but there are several things you can do instead to reach your goal. Tell me more about this- why do you need this feature for your students?
Great question! Since you’re going to building on Adalo that is cloud base for your app you won’t have to have a powerful computer. So a computer that has a good internet connection. This can even be something like a chrome book.

How can I be sure that no one is going to still it if "they" see some great idea from someone and total amateur behind it?
Great question! The reality is that all platforms can look at your app because they can review it for terms of service, bugs etc. Can they possibly see and steal the idea? Yes, but what is the likelihood? Does it prevent you potency launching your idea to the world? I would take the risk. The alternative is needing to code from scratch and control the coding environments. Hope that helps!

Thanks and great question! You can def do a sleep tracking app but for tracking steps I have to look into building a Pedometer App. I haven't seen this possible but I'll try to find the answer.
Do you know if Adalo has any type of customer service or live chat for questions? I have created my app on adalo, which so far is mostly buttons and pages with very little text. The last 2 days I tried to add text to a page and Adalo is freezing up and not working. My computer is ok because I can stream a movie with no interruptions at the same time. I tried shutting the movie down but adalo still acts like it's offline and doesn't save my changes and takes forever to type one word? Do you know if this means I have used up all my free space? The bottom of the screen says I have used 0% of my free space? I need to find out if this issue will cease if I purchase a subscription or if I need to close out aldo and build my app on another app builder?

Hey Alice! Glad you enjoyed the video! Looking into your question that might be possible but it's going to take several steps. This really depends how comfortable you are working Wix data and APIs. I talked to a Adalo expert about this and had a way to sync data but still need to look into how to sync the data and the user data and login credentials as well. For example: Wix with Airtable via Zapier, then you can have both Wix and Adalo pointing to the same airtable. Adalo connects right to Airtable without Zapier using the external collections. In theory this would work but I have to check with the login credentials would be able to sync. If I find a solution I'll keep you posted and add the video as well! Hey tell more about this. Are you asking to create an app like Xender? Or are asking to have your app connect with Xender? In general this would be a very interesting app that might be able to built with FlutterFlow but I’m not really familiar with Xender so I would prob suggest you look into the FlutterFlow documentation to start.

Is geolocation available in Adalo? Trying to make a map routing guide similar to what you’d see in Uber. Also, can Adalo be used to make a crowdfunding app like kickstarter or gofundme?
Hey Ed great questions! I have not seen anything that gives you the functionality as routing guide like Uber. There are some geolocation components but not real time routing at this time. But devs and makers are making new things all the time so I would reach out to the Adalo and see. Regarding kickstarter it depends on the functionality you want. Are you saying a platform to be like kickstarter or are you only trying to great a gofundme type of platform for your own project or business only?
Do the apps still work if one decides to cancel the $50 dollar a month subscription plan with Adalo since the data of the app is stored on their platform or does one have to continually pay the monthly subscription to keep the apps working?
Hey great question! For Adalo I believe they will not work if you decide to cancel. I would contact support to see how long they keep your app on their servers if you decide to cancel.

@@zenmusic3429 yup there always pros and cons for each platform. There are only a few one time payment options but they range wildly what they offer so depends on the features you want to use. There are open source options but that opens up other problems. The platforms I usually depends on the functionality I need. But no matter the platform I validate the idea by gettting the audience to pay for the app or SaaS before I pay for a Pro plan for any platform.

What do the outcome and success look like with that feature? For example, if you're asking the, to login does each user need to have their answer saved to their account? Hey Matthew! Thanks for reaching out! I haven't personally used Appy Pie before. I have had friends sign up for it and report they will use it and end up not using it at all. If you're looking for a platform to convert a website to an app I would go with www.softr.io/ But to discuss if it's going to make a native or a PWA app that really depends on what you're trying to create. It is really case by case if you need a full native app or if a PWA can work for you. There are famous examples of apps with big companies like Starbucks. If you have a paid plan, does that mean you have to pay that amount every single month that the app is available on Google play (for example for Android)? If the app is published, can you just cancel your plan and reinstate it only if you need to make updates to it? Just wondering because paid plans start from $50/month which is fairly hefty if you don't know if your app will work.

Hey Nicole great question! This depends on the functionality you want and if you want to maintain an app and website. If you go with Adalo or can just for it to be native app or act as a website as well. Please note you wlll have to choose which one would be best for you. For App my site you it will do both so if you have a wordpress or woocomerce. I would look at the platforms features to see which one fits you. Bubble has a pretty steep learning curve and for what you're looking for I would go with Adalo or App My Site. If you have more questions or want more details please let me know. Thanks!

That’s what I mean by “interactive”. Nor did I notice the ability to add members by invitation so that only those I am coaching can gain asses to information. We are building our first app and switched to Adalo due to your recommendation in another video...we did use your affiliate link :) Our app is for Stress & Anxiety Release and one part of our service is to provide live calls that clients can jump on every day if they purchase that product. Goodtimes glad t help! I would look at templates and UI kits to start with and start building from there. For example, the coaching app template already has courses built out www.adalo.com/cloneables/coaching-app Regarding live calls that a different beast you have to think about bandwidth and storage if you're trying to do live calls in the app or can you simply give links that allows users to call your trainers or therapists. That one is a bit more complicated. I would start on with the full basics and look at what to scale and when. Hope that helps! It depends if you're looking to have a native app or PWA (progressive web app).
If you want to create a PWA (progressive web app), you simply need to select “Mobile” when creating an app in Adalo, then click “Share” and scan the QR code (or send via SMS) to install on your phone.

Great question! The reality is that all platforms can look at your app because they can review it for terms of service, bugs etc.
Can they possibly see and steal the idea? Yes, but what is the likelihood? Does it prevent you potency launching your idea to the world?
I would take the risk. The alternative is needing to code from scratch and control the coding environments.

Do you know if Adalo has any type of customer service or live chat for questions? I have created my app on adalo, which so far is mostly buttons and pages with very little text. The last 2 days I tried to add text to a page and Adalo is freezing up and not working. My computer is ok because I can stream a movie with no interruptions at the same time. I tried shutting the movie down but adalo still acts like it's offline and doesn't save my changes and takes forever to type one word? Do you know if this means I have used up all my free space? The bottom of the screen says I have used 0% of my free space? I need to find out if this issue will cease if I purchase a subscription or if I need to close out aldo and build my app on another app builder?

Hey Alice! Glad you enjoyed the video! Looking into your question that might be possible but it's going to take several steps. This really depends how comfortable you are working Wix data and APIs.
I talked to a Adalo expert about this and had a way to sync data but still need to look into how to sync the data and the user data and login credentials as well. For example: Wix with Airtable via Zapier, then you can have both Wix and Adalo pointing to the same airtable.
Adalo connects right to Airtable without Zapier using the external collections.
In theory this would work but I have to check with the login credentials would be able to sync.
If I find a solution I'll keep you posted and add the video as well!

In general this would be a very interesting app that might be able to built with FlutterFlow but I’m not really familiar with Xender so I would prob suggest you look into the FlutterFlow documentation to start.
Also sorry I noticed this question was for an Adalo video. I would not attempt to build it with Adalo. Perhaps something like FlutterFlow or bildr.

I have not seen anything that gives you the functionality as routing guide like Uber. There are some geolocation components but not real time routing at this time. But devs and makers are making new things all the time so I would reach out to the Adalo and see.
Regarding kickstarter it depends on the functionality you want. Are you saying a platform to be like kickstarter or are you only trying to great a gofundme type of platform for your own project or business only?
Do the apps still work if one decides to cancel the $50 dollar a month subscription plan with Adalo since the data of the app is stored on their platform or does one have to continually pay the monthly subscription to keep the apps working?
Hey great question! For Adalo I believe they will not work if you decide to cancel. I would contact support to see how long they keep your app on their servers if you decide to cancel.

@@zenmusic3429 yup there always pros and cons for each platform. There are only a few one time payment options but they range wildly what they offer so depends on the features you want to use. There are open source options but that opens up other problems.
The platforms I usually depends on the functionality I need. But no matter the platform I validate the idea by gettting the audience to pay for the app or SaaS before I pay for a Pro plan for any platform.

Hey Matthew! Thanks for reaching out! I haven't personally used Appy Pie before. I have had friends sign up for it and report they will use it and end up not using it at all. If you're looking for a platform to convert a website to an app I would go with www.softr.io/
But to discuss if it's going to make a native or a PWA app that really depends on what you're trying to create. It is really case by case if you need a full native app or if a PWA can work for you. For App my site you it will do both so if you have a wordpress or woocomerce.
I would look at the platforms features to see which one fits you.
Bubble has a pretty steep learning curve and for what you're looking for I would go with Adalo or App My Site.

That’s what I mean by “interactive”. Nor did I notice the ability to add members by invitation so that only those I am coaching can gain asses to information. Hey Doc, I think you are great and love the way you deliver info. We are building our first app and switched to Adalo due to your recommendation in another video...we did use your affiliate link :) Our app is for Stress & Anxiety Release and one part of our service is to provide live calls that clients can jump on every day if they purchase that product. Regarding live calls that a different beast you have to think about bandwidth and storage if you're trying to do live calls in the app or can you simply give links that allows users to call your trainers or therapists. That one is a bit more complicated.
I would start on with the full basics and look at what to scale and when.

This depends on your budget and if you already validated your idea and getting orders.
I focus on no code e-commerce once in a while but I’ll let you know if that becomes a focus of the channel.

It depends if you're looking to have a native app or PWA (progressive web app).
If you want to create a PWA (progressive web app), you simply need to select “Mobile” when creating an app in Adalo, then click “Share” and scan the QR code (or send via SMS) to install on your phone.
