Why do people keep putting "Nightcore" in front of these? I keep clicking on them thinking it's a sped up remix, but it's just the same song sped up. Why not just say "Sped Up" or something like that? I'm just curious is all.
Blu Tears Well I get that part, but instead of putting "Nightcore" in the title, they should just put "Sped Up" or "Fast" or other similar styles if the only thing they do is speed up the song and raise the pitch. My real question is why use Nightcore for an edit that is obviously not part of that genre? Nightcore may be sped up, but not all sped up songs are NIghtcore.
Technically speaking, anybody can make these, even in programs like Windows Movie Maker or Audacity, so it's not hard at all to do, plus if all that is affected is the speed and pitch, it's no different than someone else's. At least with a remix, if two people do the same song, they will both sound different. I first saw Nightcore and thought, "Wow, that sounds cool! Maybe it's a DJ Remix!", but I was disappointed to hear that nothing was really different about it. Using a title like Nightcore is misleading, and it seems like it's just to make it sound cooler. That makes me very uncomfortable about it.
