I left an extremely toxic job, a high management role with one of the world's leading hotel and fashion/skincare brands. The job affected my health to the point where anxiety felt like heart attacks. I definitely was alone, as you described, but made so by my exec management who did not know how to deal with things or know how to do their own jobs. Alongside this, I have been supporting a decision my husband made last year which was to leave his also stressful work and pursue something else. Both jobs took us abroad. I have unexpectedly recently interviewed for a similar position in my home country. An offer has been received. We were not ready to leave our current location. But, it does seem, as you say, the Universe is bringing our dreams forward. Funny how things turn out!
