Anyone having trouble, I'll make two suggestions: first, at the start, go left and hit the fuel tanks before engaging the LC. Then, after going below the bridge to hit the 3rd one, ride the catapult and go left and straight to hit the second group of fuel tanks before taking the cliff route on the far right. The second suggestion is during the boss fight, taking less damage is more important than pure speed. 5-6k AP damage is the most you can take and still get S rank, so keep your damage cost below 12-14k. Hope this helps.

I've been stuck on this mission for three hours. This is actually the longest thing for me to complete in this game so far. Bosses haven't even given me this kind of grief. I'm doing this faster with way less damage, still hitting 4 fuel tanks and using less ammo. I'm also taking out the LC near the start, no damage at all. This is actually fucking ridiculous. Where is the actual scoring criteria for each mission? What quotas do you need to meet?
I wish From software didn't make ranked missions at all as of the game isn't challenging enough. They all ready lied about this not being Mech souls why do they have to make completionists miserable.

I'm confused, I just followed this and got paid 295,200 and my expenses were 40,792 so just slightly better than this and no s rank, just an a rank. This is my only gripe with the game. The completely mystery not knowing exactly why you don't get S ranks.
Ok just got an S, here are my result if it helps anyone: Paid in: 323,000 Base pay: 240,000 Bonus pay: 83,000 Expenses: 32,344 Repair costs: 16,294 Ammunition costs: 16,050 No penalties Standard duel Zimmerman, pile bunker and spread bazooka Morley. LC at the start dies to a single pile bunker when stunned. Rushed to the combat log enemies and maybe destroyed a few more than the video, as they were in my way. For the boss, I move left slightly so the melee AC rushes you with a melee attack, dodge it and point black duel zimmer and Morley, that should stun them and deliver a fully charged pile bunker. Zimmers and Morley should be ready for another shot, this should kill the first AC before the second even reaches you. Do the same to the second AC. This took me like 10 tries, I followed the guides route and didn’t shoot any fuel.
I just beat this dumb s rank requirement using 2x Zimmermans and 2x Scudders. Shotguns and rifles are some of the most ammo-efficient weapons in general, so you don't lose out on expenses when killing trash mobs. Kill as many trash mobs as you can (for high score) without stopping to duel them (speed requirement). Hit all the fuel tanks, too. In the boss, always fire your Zimmermans when it's ready. Scudders are for keeping up pressure and stagger gauge. Ideally you only use ONE repair kit for the WHOLE mission (so only during the double boss fight [double boss fights are dumb]).
Thank you for this video I got all the refueling tanks both combat logs in a very short time and took even less damage than you and only got an A, guess the refueling tanks dont matter. Pretty stupid S rank reqiuerments imo, needing to kill specific trash mobs but ignoring the side objective.
I think this mission is bugged. I did with more bonus pay, less repair costs and ammunition costs and I still get A rank. I also avoided the majority of the MTs like you did.
Killed the same enemies, finished faster on a lighter frame, took only 3k damage and... got an A rank. I'm calling it tonight. Four hours on this one mission and I've done everything short of a no-hit run. The requirements must change based on your AC layout, thats the only thing I can think. I'll try matching your AC tomorrow.

If gatling guns screw you over for S rank, switch to dual Zimmermans instead. Meta stigma be dammed.

ive tried a bit but my best run was ingoring everything just kill the 1 lc with 30k points then the bosses
This helped immensely. First guy important then finish the objectives to your best. S rank guaranteed! I just put that to the test.
