    Streibough: this will not end the way you think
    well, he was right about one thing

    What I absolutely loved about this game is how it gave the message "Monsters are not born, they are made." as shown by Oersted's story and how it ended.

      This game is certainly something else!

    Oersted, after being framed as a monster, finally lost it when he realised that his friend betrayed him, and after his lover committed suicide due to her Stockholm syndrome.
    Guess Joker was right:
    All it takes is one bad day...

    That moment where the music started at the end sends a shiver down my spine and I love it.

    the entire plot of live-a-live happened because Streibough was too much of a sore loser to just take the L

    You can summarize the reason oersted summon other character is because of jelousy of them having a favourable ending, while he getting betrayed, cucked and got framed as a dark lord

      I don't even blame Oersted. Everything happening in the span of this chapter was in the span of a day. Too much happening too fast is bound to be damaging.
      Also, if he let Althea by Oersted's side, he could have become the court wizard. He may not have a wife, but he'd still have a high position regardless.

    Just finished this earlier. I saw both the original & remade version of this chapter, but even then, the twist still shocks me.
    Rather than beat an incarnation of Odio, you BECOME him.
    Fucking insane.

    It seems Oersted killed everyone and the blood splash everywhere in this kingdom, but I somehow still feel sorry for the kid, the only one still believe Oersted is the true hero even this happen. Did Oersted really kill him? It’s hard to imagine…

    • @DarkJ1425
      @DarkJ1425 Місяць тому +2

      It’s obvious he eradicated everyone, and made his world infested with time paradox from all timelines. Akaria’s dungeon heavily implied this.

      @Fishman465 Місяць тому +2

      The interesting thing is the implication of the kid's undying belief actually hindering Orested's Odioness

      After he become Odio, Oersted wasnt himself anymore. In his last boss battle he start recover his mind in each damage de demon king receive. I dont think he would kill the kid, but Odio was in charge.

      I dunno- part of what makes this so impactful is the player agency element. As the player, you've immersed yourself in the game as the character. Then like Oersted you see your efforts turned into something twisted and horrible due to circumstances beyond your control.
      Just watching it happen to a character might not be as effective. Kinda like Silent Hill movies where immersing yourself in the atmosphere is different from watching someone else get immersed.

    Not many games do a lot of twists where the playable character begins a hero and lose everything, to the point that they give up on humanity.
    And those who tried can only dream of having the perfect execution Live-A-Live did. Is there any wonder why this is in my Top 10 GOATs?
    Heart's out for Oersted, I can relate to him to a certain extent.

      @@Sephiroth08150 this is why even with the additional final boss exlcusive to the remake, oersted doesn't get to live. he's done too much, has too much blood on his hands, but at least he dies with his sanity once more and able to at least feel remorse for what he had done.
