Family dynamics can always be complicated- but the pressure of being in the royal family can lead to these dynamics becoming fractured.
Growing up under the shadow of the tragic death of their mother, William and Harry’s relationship has been always in the public eye. The dynamic of the heir and spare has always been constant in their relationship since they were just young boys.
But as they grew up, the strain of their relationship would become more and more apparent. The paths that they would take in their lives would steer them further and further apart.

William said he can't forgive his mother but he can forgive his father? That's disgusting to me if it's true. If they treated their mother so horribly before she died they should both be ashamed of themselves.
His father had a quiet relationship with the love of his life, not numerous affairs with "whatever." And he did not give a scandalous interview to the newspaper. William said that he couldn't forgive his mother for that interview. Dirty clothes should never be voluntarily displayed to the public. Diana was an incredibly bright figure, but she hurt the monarchy more than she supported it.

@@Lapushka03 yeah like the monarchy gave a damn about her. Just because he kept his affair quiet doesn't mean crap. They were obvious about it to the public now that piece of garbage is the Queen. An affair is an affair whether you keep it quiet or not. If those boys treated her that way they should be ashamed. Their mother was amazing to them and loved them more than anything.
@@americangal9292 as a mother, I cannot understand how it was possible to publish the story of the affair in the newspaper and mix in dirt people who the boys love so much. She knew it would hurt her boys, but she still did it. Why?

I read the book. Nothing in his book was hurtful to his family. They are blowing it all up from nothing. Harry has a right to tell his own story as does William. Brothers fight, and disagree. All families have disagreements. Why should the royal family be any different. They are just ordinary people with a royal background but still just regular people. Both brothers have a right to their own lives. What works for one might not work for another. Get over it and get on with living and forgiving.

Prince William tried to be a loving brother who suggested they not marry so quickly so Meghan could understand what she was up for as a royal person but Prince Harry took it the wrong way and so a rift started which still exists and Rince William was correct cause they left royalty but expect to be treated like royalty,so so sad😢😢😢

King Charles is in capable of making a decision about Harry because he defers to Camila. Camila is the primary reason his marriage broke up and it affected both children very adversely. Harry has tried to address his feelings about his Father's and Camila's infidelities by writing about all the stuff he and William had to stuff emotionally for all those years. Yes it was hurtful, yes but all the people were hurt who were involved by Charles and Camila's infidelities. Diana, William, Harry, The Queen, Prince Phillip, Camila's children, and husband. All of these people were very hurt by this relationship. Now all these years later, Harry who felt compelled to bring it to the surface publicly is going to forever be the one to take the brunt of all of these issues. All families in life face enormous challenges in their life times, but forgiveness is the healing of all sorrows. Camila cannot forgive Harry, because she would have to come to terms with all the hurtful things she and Charles have done to their family members It would be, however, the mature thing to do, and allow Charles to bond with Harry and his children. William would eventually come around if Charles changed his attitude because he is the King and has the most clout, but it is all about Camila in Charles's world. He thinks if he elevates Camila the world will see her differently as He sees her. As long as King Charlese remains a weak and ineffectual King who allows Camila to fully dominate him, he will remain aloof from his son Harry, and grandchildren, and most likely die estranged unless Camila swallows her pride and relents. Camila and Charles should have publicly or privately apologized and asked forgiveness a long time ago to their family, the Spencer's, the Windsor's, all the people she and Charles hurt by their infidelities. They could have started off with clean slate and had the approval and engagement of everyone instead they all stuffed it, all of them, William included never speaking about it like it never happened. Would Harry have written his book of cruel therapy if everything was so great and wonderful? I don't think so. The old saying Hurt people, hurt people is so true. Harry's book revealed a broken person, and his broken royal family life. They are all still picking up all the bits and pieces, and they will be doing that for their life times if they can't find a way to forgive each other.
Megan put a wedge in that family also. I don't think Camilla should be called Queen of anything because she was a mistress that tore apart a family and hurt two innocent children along with their father. He should have cared more about his son's than a homewrecker.

Don’t agree. Andrew behaved terribly but he kept his mouth shut! Harry is a spoilt envious brat who has never grown up. Unfortunately he met this narcissistic talentless woman who is in control of Harry.

@@karenmonks3794 i understand… but, Williams destiny is to be king. From all I’ve seen, he is a good man, loves his family. He has no choice but to be a ‘grown up’. Harry doesn’t have those responsibilities, and with each child William and Catherine had , Harry’s responsibilities have lessened.
I find it a very sad situation. Charles and Diana were not suited, but without their marriage there would be no William, and William is destined to save and preserve the monarchy.
Harry inherited more of his mother’s personality, and has turned out an opposite personality to his brother. The differences between Charles and Diana are the differences between the brothers.
A huge sadness that the brothers have not been able to bridge the rift.
