  • I bought a used 2021 Vulcan S 650 that was delivered a few weeks ago and this was my first time riding through the neighborhood. I've been practicing low speed maneuvering (I'm a new rider) at a nearby parking lot but this was my first time actually riding.

    Nice Vulcan S. 2 days ago I bought a 2017 Vulcan S 650. The Green/White color. Once I go over it this weekend and perform all the maintenance needed I'll take my first ride on it.
    I had a Honda VTX 1800 before and a couple of other big bikes before that. Started out about 10 years ago on a Honda Shadow 1100 Sabre. Here's the guy that taught me how to drive and not drop the bike with me and the wife on it-"Ride Like a Pro Jerry Palladino". He's got a UA-cam channel under that name. I found a nice big vacant parking lot and practiced his lessons as much as I could. It took a bit of time and experience but it comes to you after a while. Almost gave up after a couple of weeks but pushed through and now I would never stop.

    What mirrors are thoes and what crash bars do you have. I've been looking at this for a first bike

    • @_Moto215
      @_Moto215  Рік тому

      The crash bars are Puig and I'm not sure about the mirrors. I just swapped them for new ones. I also bought some new bar ends so that I could install the new mirrors. Hoping to make a video on those soon. But the mirrors I had were loose and shook a lot.

    • @_Moto215
      @_Moto215  Рік тому +2

      I'm loving it so far. I live in the northeast so it's dark after about 4:45 so I'm sort of limited to Sat and Sun when it's over about 45 degrees. The few times I've had it out though I really like it. I think it's a great first bike.

    @4:04 This was bugging up until now, wondering if you knew how to counter steer, cause it looked like you were turning the handle bars in the direction that you were trying to go. You obviously are not counter steering which is very essential for any rider to learn. About 7-8 MPH the physics on your bike change and greater forces of motion take over, that once you realize how your bike turns at higher speeds, will increase your skill level as a rider tremendously and make you an excellent and much safer motorcyclist.
    Knowing how counter steering works will save your life and make riding much safer and easier for you.

    Push left, go left. Push right, go right. Practice this while going down a road at a modest speed and get a feel for it, then when you get good at it, you can do this as soon as you get out onto any transit road, outside of your drive way or parking space.
    ua-cam.com/video/ljywO-B_yew/v-deo.html
    Watching the rest of your ride, that is definitely your first ride on any motorcycle. Definitely take you time learning and don't push yourself too much too quickly. Brings back memories of myself learning to ride and I already knew the science behind it, from motorcycle magazine subscriptions for two years. And still nearly killed myself, because I didn't know how to break properly inside a turn.
    And never be afraid to ask questions from well experienced riders that actually know what they are talking about.
    Godspeed!

    Bonjour,
    Cette moto m'intéresse mais j'ai un compagnon qui mesure 1m98 qui monte derrière moi de temps en temps... Est-ce qu'il a une chance de monter en passager malgré ses guibolles (et le poids qui va avec) ou bien je vais devoir choisir entre la moto et le mec ? 😂

    • @_Moto215
      @_Moto215  Рік тому

      If he is 1.98M then I would say riding as a passenger will be quite difficult. Maybe the height is not translated accurately but that is really tall. Might have to choose the bike 😂

      Punaise! Pour une fois que c'est la fille aux commandes et le gar à l'arrière...😉
      Je suis moi-même une dame de 60 ans tout juste, entrain de passer mon A2 après un an de pratique en 125cc Suzuki Intruder et sur laquelle je m'ennuie désormais. J'aimerais effectivement me projeter sur cette custom Vulcan qui me fait ses yeux doux depuis un bon moment déjà. Faut dire que je ne suis pas grande du tout, aussi me faudrait-il une moto assez basse pour mes petites jambes. By bye et bon ride ✌
