I absolutely love that you added your son’s interest in cooking into the question about teaching your daughters. A lot of people still seem to think that the option for boys is to either marry or starve to death. My husband never learnt to cook so now I show him things, and my sons are as interested as my daughters. In fact my 11 year old boy wants to be a chef!
For choosing the items that you/kids wear I just recently realized that I just need to choose the items that are in the laundry basket because those are clearly the items we love and wear all the time 😁
Often kids learn best when things are just introduced (as in seeing Mom or Dad doing stuff) then step back and see what sparks their interest. Better than forcing and pushing and causing a rebellion. Good podcast Lisa, I enjoyed it.
Like you said, once you know what they are interested in you really just need to support that interest. Their personal desire to learn that skill will drive them forward! ❤
How do you do church clothes for your kids? Do your boys just wear their normal shorts and t-shirts? Or do you have one or two nicer outfits hidden away somewhere?
I'm a minimalist. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode.

I love how clear and unapologetic you are about what works for you!
Sharing this ‘strategie’ is so helpful en valuable, thank you!

I didn’t realize you had a UA-cam channel for the podcast! I really enjoy your podcast. I can’t wait to see your wardrobe next Tuesday.

Hi Lisa, Can you also make a vidéo about kids' clothes?
Can u show some of what you're speaking of while you're talking about it?
❤

As soon as I submitted this you mentioned their button up shirts 😅
Do you replenish pants as they get holes in them? Or do they wear them with holes until the end of season?
