- I Am Soldier follows Mickey Tomlinson (Tom Hughes), a military chef, who attempts the most dangerous military selection known to man: The Special Air Service (S.A.S.) selection. The S.A.S. Is the United Kingdom's most renowned Special Forces Regiment, tasked with life threatening missions in some of the most dangerous places on the planet. Mickey has more military experience than simply being a chef, something he doesn't let on to the other candidates... Mickey is smashed by this selection process - his mind, body and soul scream for mercy as he endures torturous speed-marches over the steepest mountains, running for his life during 'Escape and Evasion' and then facing the most evil interrogation possible, during the deadly phase known as: 'Tactical Questioning.' Even after everything, there is still only one way you can really prove yourself: in combat... Many try to get into the S.A.S. Only the elite make it.

I met one SAS on vacation and was stoked by his energy and friendliness - we had a drink and exchanged some manly words and then I had to get out of the way as the ladies were getting magnetic around the legend. I understand someone who is closer to the Gods than mortals has another level of enthusiasm
Sounds to me that u were hoping to be tossed around by ur new found hero like one of these "ladies"

Excellent Movie- The training -just to become a S A S Soldier-Unbelieveable feats one has to go through..You either make it or you dont..Would have liked a better ending..
I can attest that the SAS is most elite, not only was my husband one, so were some good friends, not at liberty to name names tho. But my goodness, what superb gents they were/are! God Bless all military soldiers. Thank you for your service. 👌👌👌👌👌👌

That was an excellent movie! As an American, I thought the Marines were the highest ranked elites of the world. I just learned something knew. The movie was awesome!

The SAS are pussies. Most girl scouts could get through their selection. I would rate the Seals the most elite. The most elite at crashing helicopters on their missions. The examples of Somalia, Iran hostage rescue and getting Osama where the crashed in grand style. This is all just light hearted entertainment and not to be taken seriously.
Not american though but I thought the Navy Seals are the most elite in usa

26:11 pro/con. Pro ; if an instructor asks for a point on a map you indicate with a blade of grass (very precise) not your finger. Con ; he was given a 6 figure grid ref (100m x 100m) not an 8 figure grid ref (10 × 10) which would have made more sense for the blade of grass.
One of the best Documentary Dramas I've seen. Brilliantly presented: Not too much, not too little. A tribute to the men and women of the Elite.

Oh, don't exaggerate. Just one of the so many tv drama's. There is no any artistic value in it. This one is also a kind of the propaganda financed by the British ministry of war.
