When we first get a new device, are there specifications on the box or in the literature that we can either read or calculate what the "as new" current draw during charging should be? Or do just have to make a note and then monitor the current draw (drop) over time? Thank you for another great and informative UA-cam.
No problem, there are two ways to see what the normal rating is. 1. See the rating on the supplied power adapter which came with the device 2. Fully Drain the battery of the device and charge it with this smart charger to read the max current when the battery is empty. Then power ON the device to see what the max current is when the device is fully discharged yet powered ON. Make a note of both scenarios and that will give you an idea. Remember that if the battery is a brand new battery it will take up a year before you see a noticeable capacity drop and charging current reduction.
