Ray Rimell has single-handedly done more to project WW1 aviation modelling and aircraft types than any other writer/publisher. A vintage editor of scale modelling magazines many decades ago, Ray produced 174 Windsock Datafiles by his Albatros production company of the sort shown here. Being an ardent fan of the genre I am fortunate to have all those in my collection, in addition to almost all of his bi-monthly magazines on WW1 aviation kits and modelling from 1985 to 2017, all beautifully designed and printed. He also did a wide range of monographs of famous and not-so-famous types in greatly expanded pagination. Well done Nigel for highlighting this and perhaps nudging Ray to resume those magazines/monographs. A great combination. You're far too young to retire Ray!
Have only run across a couple of the Winsock Datafile books so far. They are incredibly rich in specific details and unique photos. Great resources. Thanks for sharing your little booklet of golden goodies with us Nigel.
That is a great series of books. Some of them are so darned expensive though. I’ve been looking for the volume on the Felixstowe but it’s one of the more difficult ones to find.
Nigel. I wanted to get your opinion. I'm trying to decide between the Revell 1/94 Saturn V and the Dragon 1/72 . I am not looking to spend a lot on after market parts . Right now both kits are in the same price range. Thanks for your help. PS love your videos.

I've watched both of your unboxing videos so I'm pretty familiar with the differences just want to get your opinion . Thanks
They both have their issues.. I would go for the Dragon kit for now and maybe get the Revell when it gets re-released.
Thanks for your input. You're the best
