Yay! She finally trusts that she will get rewarded for the interactions without having to palm a treat in front of her. So good!

Isn't it amazing how they communicate? My bird raises his wings like a baby bird to refuse a request.

So amazing! Yay, Fennel! So happy to see her opening up more and stepping up without food in sight. You can totally see it in her eyes how she is beginning to wake up to a new reality experience, one where she is more open to exploring interactions with humans. So beautiful to watch! 💛🦜 And she is so pretty and adorable! 🤗

The fact this bird steped up without the need for treats in your hand definately shows how much shes developed over the time you have been training and caring for her her willingness to do this clearly shows that she has not only developed in her ability to step up but also in dealing with her fear your doing really well with this keep it up.

What a beautiful parrot. Very quiet, though.

Watched so many Birdtricks video’s lately, I was dreaming this morning I had a parrot that was barking. Then I remembered I don’t actually own a parrot but only a dog. Want one..but thankfully you guys informed me enough I know I should not to do it. So instead I enjoy others that do have them and film them for the world to see.

Yay! Jamie you did it. It’s your patience that’s done it. Fennel trusts you as you have worked for it. Yes, we have seen it. That’s why you are the trainer and we aren’t.

I'd love to know more about Eclectus personality traits, needs and keeping them as pets. She SEEMS really sedate, happy to sit without zooming or looking for trouble lol. I think Eckies are very beautiful especially the male for my tastes. That jumbo orange beak against bright rich green face and beady eyes is adorable.

I feel like I have learned more form you trying Fennel, than other birds. She really was great with body language, and the patience you showed with her! The advances and set backs, makes me feel like I’m not failing, and taught me to be more easygoing during training. I think that when my birds don’t want to do something, I walk away for a minute, and then they want to do what I asked….🤯 who would of thought. Lol duh!!!

Jamie, I love how you love your birds, but think about this - a bird might not like being kissed. It is you putting your large (to them) face close to them and in some kingdoms that is an eating gesture. I have kissed my birds, so I get it. They are so precious, and the scent of their feathers is so compelling to want to be near to. But birds don't kiss each other's bodies and they only touch beaks with a body language that says it's okay. Think about not kissing a couple of birds for a set time and see if your relationship changes. IDK I could be wrong.

I have a question about my pet parakeet, they both don't want to eat from the weird stick seeds thing,I have seen a lot of videos about how to get your pet parakeet to trust you and they all say let him out the cage but my parakeet doesn't trust me enough to go on my fingers for I can put him back in the cage so I am stuck how can I build more trust with my parakeet

Hi, just curious if birds have "preffered feet", like my galah (I have had since january this year) doesnt like to step up but the way i can tell if he will step up is if he touches my hand with his right foot, if he touches my hand with his left foot he will bite me. He doesnt have any soreness on that foot, he is just a little ass hole. Also if I try move with him on my hand he will freak out and try fly (unfortunately he was clipped by his breeder)

This pandemic (lockdown) has taught so many people the importance of having multiple streams of income ,unfortunately having a job doesn’t seem to guarantee total financial stability rather having a different investment is the real deal.
