I AGREE with you, man! Everyone needs to STOP hating on the Hoosiers! The only other Indiana team that was this good was the 1967 squad to the Rose Bowl! They have an overall winning percentage of .423! They are THE worst FBS program ever!
Exactly. Why would u not let in a 11-1 or 12-0 Hoosiers into the playoff when they’ve beaten everyone convincingly except the defending national champs.
To be honest, I’m a Purdue fan and like people are gonna hate on me for this, but this football team is having an incredible season. I think they’re definitely gonna lose to Ohio State. Thank you for defending the Hoosiers as both a student and a recent IU alumnus. This season in Bloomington has been truly magical, and we can honestly say that the happiness we feel is priceless. While it’s understandable that some residents of Bloomington are upset about us playing Alabama, it’s worth noting that Alabama isn't as strong as they were under Nick Saban in previous years. Every Big Ten team has its flaws, except for Oregon, and I believe there is not much depth in the conference. The SEC faces similar issues this season, as many of the 7-2 teams are struggling and likely won’t win more than 10 games. Meanwhile, Indiana is already 10-0 when hardly anyone except for Oregon and BYU are, but they cannot compare to Indiana's depth, defense, QB, or even defensive line, and I hate how the media is trying to treat us as the scapegoat when we did nothing wrong. I have in my 23 years being alive seen some terrible football, and ESPN is saying Colorado is better than us... how?! What’s the point of even claiming that Colorado is better than Indiana? That has to be the most idiotic thing I have ever heard. If you went to the GameDay set, the mood is there, the team is there, the people are hyped, the alums are hyped, and I have never ever seen this much buzz around this team even when I went to school here. Either way, we'll humble everyone! Go Hoosiers man, this season has been special nevertheless and I appreciate you Scott giving my Hoo Hoo Hoosiers some recognition..
I can't remember who said this, but I heard someone say that it's a crazy world when the team with the fewest wins in college football (Indiana) is being criticized for how they beat the team with the most wins in college football (Michigan), because they only beat them by 5 points. It's kinda crazy when you think about it. I don't know if Indiana is capable of winning the natty, but they at least deserve a chance to compete in the postseason. It's silly to get too worked up about Indiana being in the top 5 because, once they play Ohio State, they will either win and deserve their top 5 spot, or they will lose and appropriately be kicked out of the top 5. Either way, the situation will resolve itself. Plenty of people are complaining about Penn State, too.

I mostly agree aside from one thing: I dont know who you've been talking too, but nobody outside of Pennsylvania is defending Penn State. People have been complaining about their ranking since BEFORE the Ohio State game, but now everyone is questioning them. We all want Penn State outside of the top 5, with some people wanting them out of the top 10 all together.
I like your defense of the Hoosiers. I hope you showed that same energy last year about FSU not being in the playoffs. Otherwise it would be very ironic
Thank you for calling this out. Texas' best win was to Vandy and nobody's talking about that, either. Ole Miss lost to unranked UK and low ranked LSU, but they're still in the CFP. IU is doing what they're supposed to do, and they should be rewarded for that.
I didn’t know IU had any haters. People forget that, despite the weak schedule, the Hoosiers are a bottom feeder. One of the least successful college football teams of all time. They absolutely deserve to be a top 4 team until they go on a losing streak, which it doesn’t sound like they plan on doing.
Not to single out Notre Dame, but how many years have they been top 10 late in the season with schedules that look just like IU's? Nobody bats an eyelash at that. But you can't punish a school's ranking by using hypotheticals until they actually do something wrong.
I am a "Die Hard" IU fan....I only watch TV in the fall & winter....IU Football and IU Basketball. I would watch football and hope they would win....so many times, they would be close but, fall short....this year, they are much different.....I get so tired of the hate....it doesn't make any sense to me.....I watch their games objectively and don't find myself complaining about any of the calls.....IU shot themselves in the foot playing Michigan....that game could have been much different....IU had some chances to "distance" themselves...it didn't happen...Played one of their worst halves of football this season but, Michigan still couldn't beat them
The Sec on its worst day is still among the 2 best conferences in the land. And as nice of a story as this is for Indiana its not hate to say they've played a very weak schedule. They'll have a chance to play a real team in Ohio State.
As an Ohio State fan i hope Indiana does well in all games except against Ohio State. Having strong Big 10 is good for all teams, it gets attention of more recruits that otherwise might have gone to SEC and other conferences.
So tired of people throwing around the word "Hate" like it's nothing. STFU. Thinking Indiana is a good team but unproven is a 100% completely accurate take. We don't have to WORRY about it though because we'll find out soon enough how good Indiana actually is. As long as they don't get their doors blown off against Ohio State then they're fine. But their performance against Michigan was really telling. If they play that poorly against OSU they will get bodied. I live in Indiana and am a huge Notre Dame fan but I'm happy for the Hoosiers and the hype around them this year. That being said I'm not blindly fanboying over them. They need to show they can at least hang in there with the best before we start saying they're the best.
Who cares what people think about them if you’re an Indiana fan just enjoy the ride and embrace this team. They have a chance to build something special in Bloomington if cig stays and that’s all that matters.
The field was expanded to 12 to make sure Alabama always makes the playoffs. Doesn’t matter who you are if you beat everyone who is in front of you every week.
Indiana would beat my LSU Tigers right now bc we’re a trash team in the SEC that isn’t even that impressive this year. 2 or 3 loss SEC Teams will make the playoffs of what they played on the schedule. SEC is the powerhouse conference for a reason but not this year anyway. Ohio ‘lil bro’ State is not that good & trash when it comes to the playoffs. Alabama beat my LSU Tigers badly. They belt some ass to them as well by 20 plus points. Indiana going 12-0, win the Big 10 championship & lose in the first round of the 12 Team playoffs. They’re a great team & should be recognized for being a top 10 team. 14-1 record after winning the Sugar Bowl or Cotton Bowl is still a great way to end their magical season. Best season since the 1967 Rose Bowl team.
The big 12 also gets a lot of hate!!! The big 12 has 10 teams with winning records and the same as the sec and the ranking has been padded with sec teams to make there schedules look better mizzou, LSU should not be ranked. Arizona state and Iowa state should be ranked ahead of them !!
Nobody ever likes the new guy on the scene. Well, tough. IU is 10 - 0 in the best conference in the country and they have one of the best coaches in the country - end of story.
People are stupid and would rather fall back on stereotypes and the past than using their eyes and actually watching the games. We beat Nebraska by 50. The apparently unbeatable Ohio State team nearly lost. What else are we supposed to do?
And also say Notre Dame was in the SEC sure they may only have one loss but they lost it NIU if you put Niu are you against like how does that work? Indiana may not have played the people as
Ya, I wasn't a hater until they did trick plays up 21 against team, happy for them, but forever a hater when you do that lol, still hope they beat OSU and play for a big ten title though, cause fuck OSU.
Yours is a terrible take. “Indiana hate” is not stupid. Indiana plays a garbage schedule. Fact. You don’t need to exaggerate who they didn’t play. They have played no one. Same with Penn State. They played no one either. The point is that one- or two-loss teams who have played ranked teams should be ranked ahead of them. Indiana should be 15 or 20. Not top ten. You have no good argument to that so you ignore it.
They almost lost to a bad Michigan team this past Saturday. They have not played any of The Top BIG TEN Teams until they play Ohio State this weekend. They were held to 3 points in the 2nd Half against Michigan's defense. A defense that was missing like 5 starters. Hating on them no. They are taking advantage of an average BIG TEN.
The thing that all who think they know football doesn't even realize nor know is that it's rather simple. As paying players becomes more of a joke the talent will be more spread out. They knew this would happen and with the money potential that's why they expanded the playoffs. In years past there was no reason to even have an 6 team or 10 team or whatever playoff as there was only a few teams there were going to win from week one. In creating this BS play the players bs they knew the talent would disperse. Then expand the playoffs for more money. Then more expansions to come. 😉 Grow up y'all. 😂 It's simple economics. They knew paying players would spread them out. 😂🤭
The problem with IU is weak strength of schedule, and Michigan was their first opponent who had a physical defense and who would pushback every time IU makes a big play. IU beat Michigan only because Michigan didn't use their timeouts right and had a conservative gameplan. We'll see if this bye week is all IU really needs against Ohio State.
That’s to high of standards, you need a team to be one of the fourth best teams in the nation to even respect them. You need them to beat one of the most historically dominant programs in college football history just to respect them! Lower your bar a bit bud
@rouse196 If my aunt had balls she would be my uncle...If Indiana receiver doesn't drop two cupcakes it is an IU blowout..your point is idiotic, and you are a moron.
Two words "Google Me" that coach wins everywhere. And Indiana is in the process of signing him to a hugh deal. Iu has Major Alum like Mark Cuban and John Mellencamp, who can wait to throw money into the football team. The rest of the big ten better get used to seeing IU in the mix every year in football.
It’s not like they could control if the teams they play are good. They’ve blown out almost every team they’ve played. What else are they supposed to do? Are they supposed to beat every team by 80 instead of 30. When Georgia barely beat Kentucky, there was barely anyone talking but when Indiana beat an extremely talented Michigan team by five, everyone called them overrated. If a team like Alabama had the exact same season, no one would be calling them overrated. I’m tired of people carrying past years into a conversation about this year. Every year is different and unexpected things can happen such as Oklahoma State and Florida State completely sucking. Every season should be treated separately from any past seasons.
@@JayMoTheBro, me too. I’m SICK of the damn SEC saying “this team is overrated” and “that team that isn’t.” We are talking about historically TERRIBLE football program!

@@DrYankemAndPuIem That's the point!! Alabama list to Vandy, Miami lost to Georgia Tech, Tennessee lost to Arkansas....none were RANKED AND BEAT ALL THOSE HIGHLY RANKED TEAMS! HOW???? BET ON THE OTHER TEAMS? NAH JUST LOST.
@@alanbrooke3237 yeah they have all improved since there loss but somehow Penn State seems to get worse
Even if Indiana loses to OSU, they deserve a 8-12 spot in the playoff. Indiana is the real deal
Out of all the B1G 10 teams indiana looks the most legit. They're actually built for a run of the century we may never see again and I fn love it
I didn’t know IU had any haters.
And norte Dame always lose big games by a lot
I am a "Die Hard" IU fan....I only watch TV in the fall & winter....IU Football and IU Basketball.
I would watch football and hope they would win....so many times, they would be close but, fall short....this year, they are much different.....I get so tired of the hate....it doesn't make any sense to me.....I watch their games objectively and don't find myself complaining about any of the calls.....IU shot themselves in the foot playing Michigan....that game could have been much different....IU had some chances to "distance" themselves...it didn't happen...Played one of their worst halves of football this season but, Michigan still couldn't beat them
Unpopular opinion: None of you have watched a single Indiana game😂😂
Read it in local newspaper& usa today highlights on cable tv espn news
They've been great to watch!!!
The Sec on its worst day is still among the 2 best conferences in the land. And as nice of a story as this is for Indiana its not hate to say they've played a very weak schedule. They'll have a chance to play a real team in Ohio State.
this is a relevant vid given there could be other Indianas due to the portal.
Yes. There’s no question now as to what is possible for a first year coach at ANY school in a major conference.
This could be the Indiana version of the Bill Snyder K-State turnaround.
1st round game BAMA VS INDIANA... LETS SEE HOW THAT PLAYS OUT
Ngl ur point with Penn state dosent rlly make sense cuz all sec fanboys hate on them too
Go IU!
The big 12 also gets a lot of hate!!! The big 12 has 10 teams with winning records and the same as the sec and the ranking has been padded with sec teams to make there schedules look better mizzou, LSU should not be ranked. Arizona state and Iowa state should be ranked ahead of them !!
Speak the truth good takes
Hating is overkill afterall IU past and not beating a top 10 team matters but that will all be taken care of two Saturdays.
mattbegreat needs to watch this
They’re like the Washington Football Team of the CFB
Sorry I will continue to hate. IU is good this year and I’m a Purdue fan so hate I must. It’s the only thing I have left this football season.
At least your honest.
I agree with Matt at least you're honest, even though Purdue is sucking I still hate them also😅 as an IU fan it's a must🤣
I’m in a zoom class with Elijah Sarratt right now
he had a couple key drops against Michigan, Hoping for him to bounce back strong vs OSU!!!
Nobody ever likes the new guy on the scene. Well, tough. IU is 10 - 0 in the best conference in the country and they have one of the best coaches in the country - end of story.
You cant please everyone.
People are stupid and would rather fall back on stereotypes and the past than using their eyes and actually watching the games. We beat Nebraska by 50. The apparently unbeatable Ohio State team nearly lost. What else are we supposed to do?
Texas is rated ahead of Indiana. They've got one win over a ranked opponent.....
Who was it?
Michigan.
And also say Notre Dame was in the SEC sure they may only have one loss but they lost it NIU if you put Niu are you against like how does that work? Indiana may not have played the people as
What haters? Everyone wants Indiana to beat Ohio State. Except Ohio State. Once again, it’s Ohio Against the World.
No longer an DOOR MAT!
Penn state has a flashy QB ?
Where??
Oh yeah IU is super good because they haven’t played a single top 25 team
I’m here for Indiana
Umm… No double standard Penn State, Indiana & Ohio State schedules suck
If you preseason rank shitty SEC team, the SOS becomes a sef-fulfilling prophecy.
Ya, I wasn't a hater until they did trick plays up 21 against team, happy for them, but forever a hater when you do that lol, still hope they beat OSU and play for a big ten title though, cause fuck OSU.
Well said
byu is going to lose tomorrow night to kansas. yes, kansas! you heard it here first.
They haven't even beaten a bowl eligible team lmao
Yeah they have moron
Yours is a terrible take.
“Indiana hate” is not stupid. Indiana plays a garbage schedule. Fact. You don’t need to exaggerate who they didn’t play. They have played no one. Same with Penn State. They played no one either.
The point is that one- or two-loss teams who have played ranked teams should be ranked ahead of them. Indiana should be 15 or 20. Not top ten. You have no good argument to that so you ignore it.
If you rank shitty SEC teams preseason..then SOS is a self-fulfilling prophecy...a loss is a loss..sorry.
Sadly that game is next weekend cuz IU has a bye this weekend. Cignetti will have them ready for OSU though💪😎
HOO HOO HOO HOOSIERS!!
lol relax indie boy. My Texas longhorns would blow out Indiana. You know they’re not a top team.
They mid 😂😂😂😂😂
Indy Star is terrible
Newspaper
The problem with IU is weak strength of schedule, and Michigan was their first opponent who had a physical defense and who would pushback every time IU makes a big play. IU beat Michigan only because Michigan didn't use their timeouts right and had a conservative gameplan. We'll see if this bye week is all IU really needs against Ohio State.
Ignorance on display
@ they’ll earn my respect if they beat Ohio State and/or make it to the final four of the playoffs
That’s to high of standards, you need a team to be one of the fourth best teams in the nation to even respect them. You need them to beat one of the most historically dominant programs in college football history just to respect them! Lower your bar a bit bud
Michigan sucks. They could've handed them the ball on the 50 with all 3 timeouts and they wouldn't have won.
@rouse196 If my aunt had balls she would be my uncle...If Indiana receiver doesn't drop two cupcakes it is an IU blowout..your point is idiotic, and you are a moron.
They are not a magical team. They are a team winning games on a down year in The BIG TEN
Indiana is a basketball school. Nobody is hating on them . There entitled to good football season every now and then
Who have they played? Simple as that. Put any team in the nation in the Sec and see how many go undefeated
Alabama Tennesse and Ole Miss have all lost to the bottom of the barrel of the sec why should they be above a team that’s undefeated
@@JayMoTheBro, me too. I’m SICK of the damn SEC saying “this team is overrated” and “that team that isn’t.” We are talking about historically TERRIBLE football program!
Yeah I agree They only win when Michigan Michigan State have down years.
Texas is the top ranked sec team rn, right? What’s their best win? Beating Vandy by a field goal?
Tennessee fan here . I hope they lose by 30+ because that’s the team most likely to screw us out of a spot in the playoffs
Edit : most everyone thinks Penn State is overrated
Sorry but Tennessee lost to Arkansas. You can’t be talking about a team stealing your spot when you can’t even beat Sucky Arkansas who lost to Oklahoma State, one of the worst teams in the country. Win your own games and then we can talk about stealing playoff spots.
im just typing this so u know that I’m not gonna reply to you . That is a incredibly stupid thing to say
How so
No tell me I’m curious on how what I said is is stupid or invalid
@@King_Cosmic865How is it stupid? 😂 you SEC nut huggers never fail to amaze me. Your QB sucks btw.
