This is a perfect example of what made Ronnie the greatest lyricist of all time. He tells an entire story in just 3 verses. The 1st sets up the characters, the 2nd the premise, and the 3rd tells the battle of good winning over evil. Great opening line "One fine day, in Hell. The Master told a story" RIP Ronnie
Was there.. DIO was electric. Just caught them with Ozzy for the first time. legendary. they played all the classics..but Ozzy's performance was insanely lacking compared to DIO's.
Yeah, Ozzy never could perform like Dio. Especially in his later years. He gets winded and worn out and his voice breaks apart in many of his shows. Dio was spot on every time.
this is the best THE BEST!!! version of this one that i have ever heard!!! PURe EVIL TWISTED SICK and did i say EVIL!!! this is black sabbath at their finest!! thanks for posting!
Hell, I hope they play not just Dubai, but Riyadh. And Mecca. And Teheran. And Islamabad. Bringing the Devil to the Annointed in the blood of the swine. I wanna be there when Dio headlines in Purgatory!!! What a gig THAT will be!
Tony Iommi is most definitely the greatest r i f f guitarist and lead guitarist through the late sixties all the way to the farewell tour no doubt in my mind he is the true king
Didn't you know; it's been scientifically proven that Tony Iommi, Ritchie Blackmore and Jimmy Page wrote every single riff ever created, and everyone else that came after them is simply using some variation of their riffs.
Dio's darkest vocals live as I heard his on Spotify as this was a little more Gothic than Dehumanizer. The Devil Cried is the one track that has haunting religious overtones like After Forever with Ozzy.
Sabbath / H&H played all their tracks that way on their last couple of tours with Dio, same reason they did it for Ozzy: these guys didn’t have the same voices that they used to.
Voices continue to deepen as we age and our range shifts lower as a result, it's a better alternative than trying to sing it in the same tuning and struggling as a result
Seems like anybody who joined Sabbath went into the band started looking like an old man I wonder why that happens to anyone who joined Sabbath even for a short time strange very strange
Not knocking Metallica or you personally in any way, shape, or form but The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is meaningless. Madonna was inducted last year. Madonna.... into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Come on now.

Ozzy is great but Dio is the Wizard!!
They were ON this night, still listening in 2024, 14 years gone Ronnie. You were the best!! Iommis outro solo was awesome!!
I hope he cries tonight Ronnie. We all love and miss you.
I can't stop listening to 4:33 "So I told him about my pain AND THE LIFE I'VE BEEN THROUGH!"
I was there and it wasn’t sold out!
Monstro demais!

Locate deal putting everything he has into this song and I mean everything this was taken right before he got sick

Now the tables have turned Ronnie and now the devil's making you cry .....
No way. Dio went directly to heaven, to manage it.
Heaven and hell epic
Tremendo!! Que buen Tema!!!
Laney is a top notch amp. Better than any Marshall I've ever played. Only amps I like better than Laney are the Peavey 5150 and the Randall 1086.
hell yeah
Rip Dio. :(
fucking unreal. the best.
is it me or does he always sound like this on the album?
Бог он и в Африке Бог.

Heaven✟Hell/Black✞Sabbath🎻🪕🎸🥁🤘👨🎤👩🎤🤟
Peculiar is that live the song is played one more semitone down when compared to the studio record

You completely missed my point.
Who you'd rather listen to is immaterial.
