I think the most badass thing about Moon Knight, and I think this is the difference between him and Batman, is that he wears all white because he wants his enemies to see him coming. I'm sorry I don't care who you are that's a badass concept. Moon Knight = badass and underrated
115_zombie_slayer Psst he once locked his costume and left it standing to distract some guys and he flanked them in his underwear and defeated them using nothing but bare hands.
Reasons why moon night needs a movie or Netflix series 1. Beat deadpool 2. The story's could follow a mature tone similar to daredevil 3.similar but not the same as batman
Not just underrated man, he actually beat deadpool in the comics, to me that's crazy, I mean even if he got recognition in games he's still worthy at least to have a Netflix series.
marvel's greatest hero Damn right. I've never been a fan of Deadpool. But I thought it was hilarious finding out Moon Knight kicked his ass once just for being a cocky jackass, then a second time agree finding out about his healing factor
Rouge Guardian I mean even Squirrel Girl and The Punisher defeated Deadpool. But Moonknight is such a interesting character and now has his own MCU series.
+Vax x yeah I want tv series and movies for these vigilante type of superheroes rather than the mass media stuff marvel is churning out like the avengers, thor, etc where having a secret identity is not needed.
+Vax x AGREED! But Idk if they would use this costume or degrade it - in a sense- like they've (not just Netflix) done for other heroes. I'd LOVE to see this costume
Imagine Batman except the ScareCrow stuff is Moon Knights normal inside his own head. And unlike Batman he wants people to see him coming. Hence why he wears all white.
You have got to be kidding; I read a lot of comics as a kid and I never heard of him. Besides, he does not sound interesting in the least. If you want a movie use Kickstarter to make UA-cam fan fiction.
zchr The Phantom and Zorro also got their own movies. Your point? Brian C Your lack of knowledge doesn't make him bad. He's one of the most requested Marvel characters for a solo movie/Netflix show.
I think though at the moment that he probably will have a movie just as marvel are starting to use less known characters for movies and as with the awesomeness that is deadpool coming soon it could lead to good movies with multiple heroes

Same here. His split personality is one of the best things about the character. It's what really separates him from simply being an ersatz Batman. Moony is just plain nuts.
Yeah, I'm surprised that they said nothing about what makes him very different to other heroes. The guy is mentally unstable to the point that other heroes tend to have a hard time with him. Also, the guy is very aggressive, in the new comics, he slammed his ship on a guy that was running.
Moon Knight is one of the most underrated characters in the Marvel Universe and Oscar Issac did a great job playing Moon Knight and brought the character to life in the big screen for the first time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!!! The Marvel character had six personalities in the same body in the MCU. The actor Oscar Issac, the mercenary Marc Spector, the gift shop keeper Steven Grant, the taxi driver Jake Lockly, the vigilante Moon Knight and the White suited business hero Mr. Knight.
Jacob Ronaldo Bullshit! Moon Knight is batshit crazy (see what I did there?) Moon Knight is so damn nuts he'll carve his enemies face off just to use it as a mask. Batman is by no means a good comparison/relation to Moon Knight.
I like how people will leap to accuse something of being a rip off without looking into the character itself first. People will say Moon Knight is a Batman clone but MK doesn't have a side kick, he was a mercernary which is why he is so rich, he has multiple personalities, he actually does have powers and he is the avatar of an Egyptian god. While he shares a few similarities with Bat's (Gadgets, vehicles, rich) he isn't a complete carbon copy and Batman is a rip off too as some people have pointed out in the comics so you can't really bash MK when Batman isn't original either. Its like saying Quick Silver is a rip off of the Flash because of super speed.
Batman is in Not a rip off Batman is original 1938 You could not even explain who you claim Batman is a rip off OF How Stupid you are Moon Knight is very much Marvel's version of Batman Moon Knight is veery much a DC type of Character created by Marvel just like Daredevil is another Marvel variation of a Batman type of Character and You forgot to purposely mention "Sentry" Marvel's plagiarist rip off of Superman You Hypocrite of course Moon Knights origin story has to be different to get away just enough so that Marvel can have a Batman type of Character Moon Knight even becomes a billionaire like Bruce Wayne and that douchebag Tony Stark with Alfred Rip off Jarvis and by the way Jarvis was Alfred Wentworth's Father's name More plagiarism from Marvel
Yes! Finally they did an origin video on one of my favorite superheroes, "Moon Knight". For those of you who don't know, Moon Knight was the only superhero who was able to defeat Deadpool and almost killed him. Moon Knight loves to randomly attack Dr. Doom even though he isn't doing anything wrong. Moon Knight was even fired from the West Coast Avengers for going after Dr.Doom several times without them, even though he was able to defeat them. Also, Moon Knight keeps the face of his Arch-Nemesis in his closet and sometimes pretends he's him.
You know as much as i love Moon Knight im glad hes underrated. I used to say the same thing about Deadpool in the late 90's. Now Deadpool is bigger than ever and oh man is he ever so corny. Marvel has changed him a lot since hes gained popularity. He was a lot cooler when he was more underrated and his first volume was classic. If Moon knight ever gets popular like that i feel his charm would cease to exist and his comics would be different to suite a bigger audience.
***** Marvel is cooler than DC to me. If the 2 ever somehow fought, DC would obviously win. But that's the thing about DC is their heroes and heroines and villians are are all over-powered. Just look at superman. The thing is Marvel is it's balances whereas everyone has a fair amount of flaws and they actually have interesting back stories and you can relate to some
Moon Knight deserves a 13 episode anime with Patrick Seitz as Moon Knight. Episode title suggestions: 1. Moonlight. 2. Shadows. 3. Night Sky. 4. Remember. 5. Sun and Moon. 6. Good Night My Lovely Heart. 7. Sweet Dreams. 8. Nightmare. 9. Shut Eye. 10. Sleep Tight. 11. Nighty Night. 12. The Rabbit of the Moon. 13. Goodbye Forever.
I started liking Moon Knight after playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance and deciding to play Moon Knight and then finding out how different he played than the other street level heroes I have played (Spider-Man and Daredevil) then wanting to know more about him, I have been reading up on him on the Internet. I haven't found a Moon Knight book to buy but the only one I have bought is Marvel-Verse Moon Knight which I got at an Ollie's for $3.99.
Out of all the Marvel Superheroes, Moon Knight is a superhero that need desperately need of a movie or TV show. He always was a underrated superhero since his existence.
It's quite strange that Moon Knight, a mentally unstable Batman clone, wealthy man with no powers wearing a costume with gadgets, is loved by people but not Sentry, a mentally unstable Superman clone with a more interesting story.
No he has super powers, and he's not actually wealthy, after Konshu brought him back to life the shock of resurrection forced him into having split personalities.
I love Moon Knight, he is deeply underrated marvel character. He is not a batman ripoff; he is a complex and troubled anti hero who became a hero in order to redeem himself for all the horrible things he did as a mercenary. The son of a rabbi who hated violence, Mark turned against his father and his because he thought they were weak. His younger brother Randal became his arch enemy, after he killed Marc's fiancé Lisa (this was before Sabretooth came onto the scene).
For those who don't know, Moon Knight also has mental problems with superheroes or whatever. It kinda leads him into using other heroes weapons like Spidermans webs and Caps shield. I'm not entirely sure how accurate this is though.
He has split personalities from the different phases of the moon. He gets Spidey, Cap, Wolvie personalities and gets their signature weapons/defenses. His Spidey personality actually takes over one time and dresses as Spidey than kicks butt as Spiderman, I believe.
Johnny Skinwalker He's nothing like Taskmaster. Taskmaster has always had photographic memory and he carries a sword and a shield around all the time. Taskmaster copies you fighting style by looking at you and he can also copy a flip even if you made it up.
Johnny Skinwalker I never said Moon Knight mimicked someone. He only got 3 superhero personalities which made him fight a certain way and act a certain way.
WatchMojo.com just a little tip....try talking about the abilities and attributes it will help a lot in understanding a character better. But great video.
I think you guys confused Moon Knight with Taskmaster when you said he was in Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3. Unless you mean cameo appearance. Dinguses....
He made a small cameo as one of the various superheroes hanging out in the background image of "Hawk-eyes" ending. If you didn't know, this makes sense since Hawk-eye is the one who created all of Moon Knight's weapons.
msadaldin I know, anyway did you know that Moon Knight actually did appear in a Marvel movie? It 's true, it was confirm by Marvel that the Guy driving the yellow van and ramming the police cars was Moon Knight in the Movie, "Captain America 2". It's sad because this scene was only about 10 seconds long and they don't even show him nor give him any dialog what so ever. They just made hints after the event that the man in the van was Moon Knight. It was stupid and pointless, but hey at least he did actually make it in a movie even though it's pretty much like getting excited over being on the front page of a magazine which has a bar code covering your whole face. But whatever.
Batman is not original Here's a couple of examples Zorro , the phantom , the shadow , The Bat 1926 , these are characters older than batman . those are our characters were wearing the mask and cape outfit before batman came out and cape and mask. batman did't not invent the cape and mask
+Aneruddha Yadav True, but many of those unique features were added in over time and the same applies to moon knight. WatchMojo doesn't touch upon it, probably due to time constraints, but more recent comics have added a unique layer to Moon Knight. The multiple personas they mentioned have since evolved into full fledged personalities which take turns dominating the actions and behavior of MK and each one is a reflection of the different aspects of the Egyptian moon god. Further, this separation of personalities has been developed to borderline Dissociative Identity Disorder levels. Some writers have even introduced the subtle question of whether Moon Knight's origin story and powers are even real or are just the products of a troubled man's brush with death. Moon Knight is a much younger character than Batman and has received far less love from the general public. But if you know where to look, he is a fascinating and developed character of his own whose stories offer something you wont find in many other comics.
+Alex Tyson Moon Knight was based off CAPITAN CENTELLA from Japan is the same way Batman was based off of Zorro the Bat 1926 movie. is true One or two similarities hardly makes someone a ripoff... thank you for sharing the information
You guys need to make more of these. Being that I watch WatchMojo, and CE (ComicsExplained ) when it comes to reading/watching comic backgrounds/bios :) The way you guys explain things are amazing, and easy enough to the ears that I can pay attention and not get over worked by exaggirations lol ( not going to name anyone else in UA-cam ). Keep it up guys, I always love watching these and love your channel! :D
oscar98sala Moon Knight is the only Superhero in the marvel universe capable of killing Deadpool. Which he almost did in one comic, but he decided to walk away leaving Deadpool for dead. You may not like this issue since Deadpool actually ends up in the hospital even that doesn't make much sense since he has healing factor.
If I remember correctly, in the Amazing Spiderman comics, Moon Night is shown to have a personality split several times. There's the cab driver, the wealthy businessman, that is his own self, a young girl and the Moon Knight himself as a personality.
That was the Ultimate Spiderman comics. But he only has Marc, the cab driver, the wealthy playboy, Wolverine, Spiderman, Captain America, etc. He gets some and loses some.
***** actually he was, but only briefly. If you play the game through with Hawkeye, what you see is Hawkeye only wants one thing: to reunite the West Coast Avengers. When he does, you see a splash page panel of Hawkeye leading the WCA along with a team of characters from both Marvel and Capcom that include Wonderman, Tigra, Moon Knight, Leo (from Red Earth), Jin (from Cyberbots and the first two MvC games), Mockingbird, War Machine, Rikuo (from Darkstalkers), June Lin (from Star Gladiator) and Rei (from Breath of Fire 3).
I'm gonna guess MK shows up, at least as a cameo, in the Daredevil Netflix series sometime in the near future. Like this when it happens to signal if I was right... ~_~
Come on WatchMojo he's also one of few Jewish heroes! Son of a renowned rabbi, though non-practicing. Still something I enjoy about him as a Jewish guy myself
Basically, got beat up and left for dead. Moon God, Khonshu, asks him to be an avatar of the moon. Marc Spector accepts. Gets revived. Takes cloak from Khonshu statue. Becomes Moon Knight.
I think the most badass thing about Moon Knight, and I think this is the difference between him and Batman, is that he wears all white because he wants his enemies to see him coming. I'm sorry I don't care who you are that's a badass concept. Moon Knight = badass and underrated

I love Moon Knight. He's basically Batman but has enough originality and differences to be his own hero.
as a DC fan i salute you
But underated
he's a reference to a villain in don quixote called moon knight
He deserves a movie, he's just so underrated when compared to others

Nothing about his split personalities? I'm a bit disappointed
Same here.
His split personality is one of the best things about the character. It's what really separates him from simply being an ersatz Batman.
Moony is just plain nuts.
Kevin Wetzler I guess you could say he is a lunatic
I'm disappointed they didn't mention the fact that his strenght increases as the moon goes fuller
Kevin Wetzler

denny kurniawan
moon knight
While Batman dresses in black. Cuz he's a pussy.
This guy needs a Netflix series that links into DareDevil!
i thought the same thing when that show was announced
A punisher show would be awesome as well, lets get the street level heroes some love
Essentially, but it would be a part of the massive Marvel Cinematic Universe
Michael Cutts Daredevil is linked to marvel cinematic and marvel is very open to putting him in other movies and possibly the civil war.
they announced Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage for Netflix... so I don't think this is going to happen, would be cool though.
really want to see moon kinght by netflix
he as least is in a good mobile game and better than Batman
50/50
What's the mobile game's name?
he not better than Batman

Since Moon Knight the talk of the time being I had to come back and revisit this video.
Deserves a movie.
Yes! Finally they did an origin video on one of my favorite superheroes, "Moon Knight". For those of you who don't know, Moon Knight was the only superhero who was able to defeat Deadpool and almost killed him. One of my favorite superheroes! He needs more love. Hoping for a movie or TV show set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
I wish Watch Mojo still did these.

i just found my new favourite superhero! :3
MOON KNIGHT NEEDS A MOVIE !!!
Moon Knight,The Sentry,The Creeper (Jack Ryder) and Freakazoid (Dexter Douglas ) need live action Netflix series !

Moon Knight is probably one of the most underrated marvel characters of all-time.
I think you guys confused Moon Knight with Taskmaster when you said he was in Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3. Unless you mean cameo appearance.

I was thinking the same thing. Where does he even make a cameo??
+WatchMojo mixed him up with Taskmaster. I don't see how considering the only thing they have in common is the white Hodor and cape....
He made a small cameo as one of the various superheroes hanging out in the background image of "Hawk-eyes" ending. If you didn't know, this makes sense since Hawk-eye is the one who created all of Moon Knight's weapons.
RamsTheNameCom Nah I don't think they were talking about the cameo cause they wouldn't have mentioned it, because that is too trivial to mention.
msadaldin I know, anyway did you know that Moon Knight actually did appear in a Marvel movie? It 's true, it was confirm by Marvel that the Guy driving the yellow van and ramming the police cars was Moon Knight in the Movie, "Captain America 2". It's sad because this scene was only about 10 seconds long and they don't even show him nor give him any dialog what so ever. They just made hints after the event that the man in the van was Moon Knight. It was stupid and pointless, but hey at least he did actually make it in a movie even though it's pretty much like getting excited over being on the front page of a magazine which has a bar code covering your whole face. But whatever.
Moon Knight needs to be in the big screen. Or maybe a television show.
Batman is not original Here's a couple of examples Zorro , the phantom , the shadow , The Bat 1926 , these are characters older than batman . those are our characters were wearing the mask and cape outfit before batman came out and cape and mask. batman did't not invent the cape and mask
+Alex Tyson Thank you.
But moon knight is still a rip off of batman as batman had his own unique features
+Aneruddha Yadav One or two similarities hardly makes someone a ripoff...
+Alex Tyson Moon Knight was based off CAPITAN CENTELLA from Japan is the same way Batman was based off of Zorro the Bat 1926 movie. is true One or two similarities hardly makes someone a ripoff... thank you for sharing the information
I just learned I have the first moon knight issue, and I didn't even recognize this character.
Who here after watching the trailer of Moon Knight 🌙 🌑
My favorite comic character since the 80's
Bring MoonKnight to the MCU!!!
Marc Spector: C.I.A agent
Steven grant: millionaire
Jake lockley: taxi driver
*shudders* Never thought that HE would make his ghostly-like presence known in THIS special superhero Origin spotlight video!
where is that moon knight animation from
ooooooh thanks man
You guys need to make more of these. Being that I watch WatchMojo, and CE (ComicsExplained ) when it comes to reading/watching comic backgrounds/bios :)
The way you guys explain things are amazing, and easy enough to the ears that I can pay attention and not get over worked by exaggirations lol ( not going to name anyone else in UA-cam ). Keep it up guys, I always love watching these and love your channel! :D
I don't remember him being on the roster in Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3
He's not
I think he got him confused with task master
Probably
True, but he's not on the roster, he's not a playable character.
Or Marvel vs capcom 2
I can't imagined what type of powdered soap Moon Knight is using on his costume laundry after a week or days he using it against crimes...
you forget something very important about Moony, he has multiple personality disorder
yeah and i think that he don´t know about his other personalites either(not like DP who talks to himself)
oscar98sala he actually talks with his personalities
Agel1ic oh i didn´t know but i still like DP more cause he constantly breaks the fourth wall
oscar98sala Moon Knight is the only Superhero in the marvel universe capable of killing Deadpool. Which he almost did in one comic, but he decided to walk away leaving Deadpool for dead. You may not like this issue since Deadpool actually ends up in the hospital even that doesn't make much sense since he has healing factor.
We.l he is insane
I often find the original origin stories to me more clever, more realistic, and all around more entertaining then the remaining.
Who’s here after watching the official moon knight trailer?
If I remember correctly, in the Amazing Spiderman comics, Moon Night is shown to have a personality split several times. There's the cab driver, the wealthy businessman, that is his own self, a young girl and the Moon Knight himself as a personality.
That was the Ultimate Spiderman comics. But he only has Marc, the cab driver, the wealthy playboy, Wolverine, Spiderman, Captain America, etc. He gets some and loses some.
Moon knight is an awesome superhero.
Cool, I had no idea he was in so many video games, he is one of the best.
Moon knight wasn't in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
Ultimate alliance
Jay Garrick 3:36
***** actually he was, but only briefly. If you play the game through with Hawkeye, what you see is Hawkeye only wants one thing: to reunite the West Coast Avengers. When he does, you see a splash page panel of Hawkeye leading the WCA along with a team of characters from both Marvel and Capcom that include Wonderman, Tigra, Moon Knight, Leo (from Red Earth), Jin (from Cyberbots and the first two MvC games), Mockingbird, War Machine, Rikuo (from Darkstalkers), June Lin (from Star Gladiator) and Rei (from Breath of Fire 3).
mrjanemba Cameo appearance but an appearance none the less
Thank you all so much for making this.
I'm gonna guess MK shows up, at least as a cameo, in the Daredevil Netflix series sometime in the near future. Like this when it happens to signal if I was right... ~_~
Moon Knight: probably the only Marvel superhero crazier than Deadpool.
Moon Knight deserves a 13 episode anime.
Anyone from 2022 watching the show
"Moonknight need his own Netfix show?"
Guys, its happening.
Anyone here after watching the first episode? 😂
Moon Knight and Deadpool have so much in common it crazy
Now if I good down into the comments, I'm gonna see a bunch of Batman fanboys calling Moon Knight a rip-off right?
right I love Batman but it's unfair to dismiss someone else's character because of a few similarities
Who's here after Marvel announced that Moon Knight will get it's own Disney+ show
Moon Knight is a badass!
he needs a movie,NOW,DEADPOOL CAN WAIT!
Am I a fan of Moon Knight Hell Yeah
my favourite superhero ever. I know that if they make a series/film for him then everyone would love him
Come on WatchMojo he's also one of few Jewish heroes! Son of a renowned rabbi, though non-practicing. Still something I enjoy about him as a Jewish guy myself
He does not practice judaism instead believes in a old egyptian religion
+HailLion an*
Ladies and gentlemans here's THE MOST UNDERRATED MARVEL CHARACTER EVER
Whos here after Marvel revealed the disney plus show?
totally hyped man
Marvel Studios is giving Moon Knight his own series on Disney Plus. FINALLY!!!!!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!
This guy's origin is so weird and over the place. I lost track at the moon god crap.
Basically, got beat up and left for dead. Moon God, Khonshu, asks him to be an avatar of the moon. Marc Spector accepts. Gets revived. Takes cloak from Khonshu statue. Becomes Moon Knight.
Must have more Origins they are so neat thanks WatchMojo.com
How about Black Canary origins? :]
Yes dinah origin
