I have been following Viji moo for a long time. I love listening to her. This is like a treat! Ramya, you do an amazing job finding people like her for your podcast. You are amazing!!
Super dear.it will come by practice very easily. I wish you all luck. I want my daughter to start try this process. When she is not reacting badly to the person who hurts her, she scold them badly in her mind which I don't think is correct. It affects our mind and even more worse than reacting to that person. Please try to be calm when somebody hurts you even from your mind.
as a practising vegan, this was a great interview. a few pointers a) to each his own, this is not right or wrong, good or bad but about choice. please dont rain down here about the rights and wrongs of veganism or otherwise. b) by design a lot of vegetarian south indian dishes ARE vegan other than the curd and milk in coffee (think about it). right from idi sambar to dose/pongal/vade /kuttu/, etc etc. so if you choose this route not the end of world for regular folks. not much elitism in having samosa or bajji or bonda or kamarkattu or murukku or most other things. paneer we consume not really part of staple diet of south indians. c) for curd, do try peanut curd called one good, from nourish you : it is nearly, nearly as good as the original curd, or make peanut curd at home. cheap and hi protein, AND good fats. d) milk there are substitutes but yes a bit of a challenge though i use oat milk it is expensive relative to regular milk e) last from people transitioning from meat eating ( and i transitioned from a regular meat eating background), there are increasing number of plant protein based meat equivalents. plantaway is a brand from where i purchase (plant based) near ready to make sheekh kababs or chicken nuggets etc. and i can assure you they ARE pretty good. goot dot is another good brand for plant based meat equivalents. these are mostly made out of pea protein, and you can consider them somewhat processed, so i do consume but in somewhat restricted quantities. hope this is useful. I have no commercial interest in the brands i have mentioned, just writing out of personal experience.
So are you concluding that plants are of no life? How come on earth anything can grow and thrive if there is no life to it? Plants are also life form and vegans don't feel guilty about it just bcoz we don't hear their scream when we cut it to eat. Can someone pls explain?
Yes they do have life too . This is a decision based on what each person is willing to give up to cause least pain to another being and least environmental impact. There is no room for moral high ground or judgment here. The conversation was beautifully channeled to reflect this.
Enjoyed the podcast but I have one word of caution about calcium supplements. I received a message from my aunt who is a pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist in the US about how excess calcium from supplements can get deposited in the aorta and getting calcium through diet is the better approach. My mother died last year during an angioplasty for a triple block. Her arteries were highly calcified. She diligently took calcium supplements for many years. Is there a link? Possibly. I have read that calcium should always be taken with magnesium. Whether that could have prevented the calcium deposits, I don’t know. I would urge everyone to educate themselves before making the choice to take a calcium supplement. Strength training, yoga, Pilates can all help prevent osteoporosis. Perhaps a better approach than taking calcium supplements.
Truthfully Ramya, I wasn’t your fan in 2000’s but now I am loving your work . Your content is awesome. I didn’t know about Viji moo but i absolutely loved her thoughts! Thanks for introducing her to me!
Nice Interview madam. Though promoting a single product is to be avoided it would be better and helpful if viji madam mentions about a best B12 supplement

Ramya mam I am trying to change my Life style...But I don't know why I m struggling to start..please share some positive thoughts to take up a lifestyle.....great work 🎉
So what’s your problem? Is this how you go about during the day thinking of which caste the person comes from? Unicornpalatte my ass. Get the spelling of palette right at least? Well wait, maybe you’d be better educated if you were a Brahmin.
Excellent interview but conservation is in English, though know tamil, not talking in mother tongue, only hitech people can watch your channel, if you are really have concern that all should understand the interview you must have avoid this....
Only request..take it as humble request Viji..I follow you then I felt you are a bit of sour face not pleasant to see..if you smile you look so beautiful..
