The Korean first lady is very lucky. Something always happens to make people forget that she was being investigated for corruption and that the investigator who reopened the case was found dead. Suicide??????
I can't believe someone tried to say that Suga's case was worse than Taeil's sexual assault case because Taeil only hurt one person, and Suga "could have" hurt more with this scooter. 💀💀
Flipping eck what a disgusting mindset some people have. It's show complete and utter disrespect for Taeil victim, women and men of sexual attacks in general and is also an insult to Suga.
I wonder why Taeil sitaution is being investigated silently and is being painted as "innocent until proven guily", meanwhile Suga's scooter fall is being blasted all over k-media with all kinds of wrong information for weeks. Hmmm 🤔
it started out silently. that's why SM didn't know. the police even said it in their statement. they didn't want taeil to run and hide evidence. I don't get how this is so hard to understand. the only surprising thing here is, that the south Korean police for once does the job right?! And nobody says he's innocent until proven guilty? that man was booked. not just asked to come to an interview. that fandom hates him and was happy SM kicked him out this fast.
That's how police make efforts to preserve evidence. There's no "conspiracy". The fact SM even made a peep about it is wild in the 20 years I've been aware of them as a company
@@NippyBooksRemember what was the role of the police in the Burning Sun scandal ! Do you really think their words are trustworthy ? Everybody knows that the sk police is corrupt !
@@NippyBooks It's not so much the police as it is the media silence. By now, *if this was a BTS member* the media would be on about him having a harem full of abused underage girls forced to give birth repeatedly and shared with the other members of the group. I take your point about the fandom; I wandered into a Western news article about it, and the overwhelming tone of the comments was hate and loathing. Three or four people talked about 'innocent until proven guilty', but the great majority have already decided he's guilty and aren't going to change their minds no matter what results emerge.
@@NippyBooksI don’t know him. I’m obviously not a fan, but it does seem odd for Korean police and media to act so out of character, especially in contrast to Suga, as well as the unfortunate, Beloved, Late Lee Sung Kyung! What epiphany did they have?
Korea is allways ridiculous when it come to men idols doing something really bad. If Taeils would be from outside Korea we would have the news form the police station allready. I am happy that he have a case at all.
If we go back BTS has always been the underdog and anything to make them look bad was the thing of the day. You would think that after all this time, being as famous worldwide, talented, skilled, knowledgeable and loved by actual millions worldwide and I mean literally worldwide, the attacks would stop. We know that SM might have a handle on reporters, not now but for years. Blatant hypocrisy.
Underdogs? LOL - Not for many years now. BTS is front and center in the industry and has been for a long time. Don't drive drunk. Start there. Won't be no problems then, huh.
Even now that it's been announced to public and press there is STILL no outcry or demands for further information. There are barely any articles about it via K-media. Its all so hushed up and even now there are still articles about Suga being published. :(
One korean news outlet that was talking about taeil news even put sugas photoline footage in the same video. Even knets are saying "what does sugas case have to to do with taeils case. It's not the same"
The difference is that Taeil has been punished by being kicked out of NCT. His career is over, and Suga should keep his and stay in BTS. Taeil has mostly been out of the spotlight due to his motorcycle accident injury. Taeil allegations are also VERY new, and we know very little in comparison to Suga's case, which has literally video.
ohhh here we have a REAL scandal!!! I am shocked at corruption levels in South Korea. Love BTS with all my heart but so dissapointed at their country and authorities.
No one should visit or move there plain and simple. They have a lot of problem they need to solve regarding their culture and law. Maybe in a few decades it will change. But for now stay away. lol
Taeil is the s scandal here because he made this shit happened and there is nothing to do about Bts because they didn’t do anything wrong is just Suga did what he did and nobody doesn’t care about that anymore. He clearly apologized to all army’s about him falling of a scooter while drunk

Do you think AI is an option to monitor the media? I don’t know how it works or if it is at all possible, but… you know how there are companies that do a ranking system list for songs like Billboard, iTunes,Spotify etc, what if there was a ranking list, but its news set by location, for example local, national, international and finally AI. What if the AI was able to do its list based on South Korea with the top 10 news ranked In the most important and/or relevant order? Then you can compare it to news the media is pushing or dictating locally, nationally and even internationally, that way everyone can see how much the media is censoring the information they want fed to the public, but even more importantly, what news they are keeping quiet. I really want to get the media for what they did to Suga and take their power away from them because I know they will hold that power over BTS forever.
In the USA a famous baseball player and a football kicker got slam in the media for sexual assault before a full investigation and a court case. Their employer also fired them, they were judge in the public eyes with only hearsay from the accuser. As time and the cases investigation came to an eñd, it was determined that they were falsely accused. Both still have not recover their careers. They are sueing accuser and some media outlet, Just like Johnny Depp. The point I trying to make is the public can be aware of the pending case but any judgement should be màde after the facts
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LET CRIMALS GET AWAY WITH IT AND WHAT MAKES ME UPSET IS THAT THE EVIDENCE IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!!!
Now this is a scandal. I give up on Korean media. SM has power. BTS is huge, became successful without the industry. This is pure evil. Ugh this is unforgettable
Not quite. BTS very much used and needed the "industry" to get anywhere. They didn't hit superstardom in a vacuum, and had it not been for SK media, they'd have gone nowhere. Sorry, but this rewriting of history gets old.
Money and power can do wonders, be it hushing, distracting and/or smearing... Suga fell at a time that was advantageous to those who could use a little fire blanket. Unfortunately for them, there are Armys and members of the public who see what's going. Thank you for this video. You expressed everything so eloquently 💜
That's why I never get personally attached to any idols anymore. It's okay if you support them for their work. You love the persona they created on the internet. But in reality, you truly don't know them. I learned my lesson from the Seungri scandal. Taeil is just another example.
@@sharonlahaye5803 Yes. For the past 11 years BTS has been documented as thoroughly as anyone on the planet. We can't know it all but if they weren't who they showed us, the mask would have slipped before now in the hundreds and hundreds of hours of video already online.
I trust the BTS members. I have no reason not to. There are just as many bad ppl in the kpop industry as there are in regular society. Some use money to hide their crimes, but that's also true in regular society. There's no shame in trusting people until they prove the trust misplaced. It doesn't make a person stupid or guilty. And it's unfair to all the artists who are genuinely trying their best to be good people. I'm really glad that BTS has always maintained that they aren't perfect. But I won't assume they're criminals. It gives me joy to love them and support them as people, not just as content. And if it turns out that any of them have ever done something truly unforgivable, I'll deal with the pain. Idols give away so much of their lives to their fans. They at least deserve the benefit of the doubt. I also think that corruption breeds corruption. If idols are brought up in a company that is corrupt, they learn that they can get away with a lot of ugly things. So the ones who may have been leaning toward being criminals are more brave about following through with whatever they want to do, even if it hurts someone. But that doesn't mean there aren't still good people who don't take that path. I'm sorry to write so much. I'm sorry you were hurt by the actions of your idols. 🙏🏼 I understand your mistrust.

I have literally been thinking about this since the suga falling incident. Like you actually don't care about your people's safety or DUI's. Because if you did why are so many dangerous people still walking on the streets of Korea because of YOUR FAILED system?
ARMY has always understood that the BIG 3 are aligned/colluding with the K-media, who then plays down BTS achievements, and so they are not reported on how they should be, even to this day. This has become even more obvious when you compare these two cases. How else can you explain how this has been kept so quiet, no leaks, no apologies, no calls by the media for a photoline? The TOTAL OPPOSITE of Yoongi's treatment. One artist is part of the BIG 3 and one isn't, and look at the total contrast in treatment by police, by news outlets, by reporters. I don't believe in conspiracy theories but I honestly think this is not a theory at all. There are higher powers at work here.
“Who broke the rules and got Taeil special treatment so he could be treated fairly?” 😆. Exactly. Probably SM, who has always had a favorable position with the media and police.

I promise you 99% of the nct fandom does not want or demand an apology from a sexual assaulter. There's nothing he can say or do that will make the fandom empathize or understand him. 99% of the fandom condemns him, and want proper justice for the victim, who gives a fuck about a public apology when an actual person was the victim of his crime. If anyone should receive an apology, if he actually feels any remorse, it's the victim, not the public nor the fandom.
@@qkun as bts fan. It’s better to stay neutral until everything comes out. Yes Sm removed him and he may have done it. But the police are only investigating and if it by chance was proved innocent, you don’t want to the person calling an innocent man- sexual abuser. Obviously we are with victim 100% bcz this doesn’t seem like those fake accusations many idols went through. We all are here to shame and cancel him if he’s proved guilty. Suga went through shit for week before actual footage of Suga came out. Then everyone who participated in harassing him and bullied him turned silent. Obviously these are two different cases. But supporting the victim while waiting for the investigation to be over is something we all have to do.
@@ravenblog7 there's no such thing as neutrality in a case like this. Choosing to stay neutral IS not believing the victim, especially if they don't receive justice. I would rather much fully believe a victim, over the small percentage of it being false. One can always apologize if he is innocent at the end of the day, but it's incredibly hard to have physical/tangible evidence of a sexual crime. Like you said, suga got hate until the cctv footage of it came in, that will most likely not be the case with taeil; the chances of us seeing actual tangible evidence is incredibly low. There's not a single cell in my body that is hoping he is proven innocent, I will not give that man any mercy. There's a chance he might walk leave this case as innocent due to lack of evidence, and that's just no justice at all, and that's not supporting the victim at all.
Thank you for saying these obvious issues out loud an understanding manner. I hope everyone gets a fair treatment. I wish to Suga lots of support to mentally survive a pressure.
@yomiyominom then toss in the former baseball player who was so drunk he caused an accident the next day and registered over the legal limit. From what I saw he's only gotten support and coddled.
Public opinion against Suga was concerted and manipulated. Such a wave of hatred is not spontaneous. There are agencies that do this work, it is called black propaganda, it costs tens of thousands of dollars. Fake accounts, funeral wreaths, trucks, fake videos, misinformation to the media, photo line... The news of a fall from a kickscooter would have quickly fallen into oblivion, if there had not been a concerted effort behind it. Just look at how this much more serious crime went unnoticed for months.
It's nice that Korean media can treat anyone like a human except BTS just because they don't have any power over them. And a scooter incident with no victims can be made into a manhunt but something much more serios can be overlooked so easily by korean media. They should not call themselves journalists.
Why media restrained themselves? Probably got pressured, bribed by SM. The hypocrisy is sickening. The facts behind Taemil scandal will be shocking. We want apology and police line for him too.
Exactly, the Big 3, which SM is a part of, were involved in the 2016 "sajaeji" accusations against BTS because BTS had the gall to win an award over a Big 3 idol group. The 2017 investigation completely cleared BigHit and BTS! Then the Big 3, leaving BigHit out, wanted the Blue House to pass a bill to exempt "idols" from military service, then the Big 3 had K-media promote this bill using BTS as the "face" of this legislation!!!!! So excuse ME, but I know for a fact that SK and K-media were COMPLICIT in covering up Taeil's sexual assaults investigation, while pushing Suga's kickboard situation to the forefront of news coverage!!!! If I were Suga, BigHit and Hybe right about now, I would be pissed and taking out full front page ads about the Taeil investigation and SM's cover up!!!!! I think it was lightly handled, and it's so quiet because SM announced kicking him out before the media managed to spread the word. They came out with the announcement and fired him. They also mentioned that police are investigating, and the guy is cooperating. The Media did not have time to dramatise and invent stuff, plus we don't know if it's bad/ if it's true, the police will have the official true answer. I think all cases would be like this if the media would not be involved.
Kmedia cooperation to time their articles and coverage aligned with SM announcement is so perfect, it is a laughable matter if anyone saying “oh they all dont know..” yeah gtfo with the bs. 😂
It's possible they really have damning evidence and SM can't ignore it this time. And especially if the victim themselves has people around them with just as much or more power.
@deltasaves Yes, everything is possible. That is why I am waiting to see what the police will declare and if he will be charged. Because SM could be protecting their image with a 0 tolerance for anything SA related, after the horrible image KPop ( or Korea in general) has when it comes to this type of crime.
@@shamkand I agree. Personally a big compa h like SM saying "we won't tolerate SA crimes from our talent and staff" would mean so much for South Korea. Top down action is the only way to change the culture, just like in management

I'm Army but I like NCT too. I'm gobsmacked that Taeil of all ppl could be accused of something to the extent that he had to leave the group. As an American, I'm accustomed to presuming innocence until PROVEN guilty. I wish SKs wouldn't rush to judgment and public execution based on allegations. And should the accused be found innocent, at the very least, they should be restored to their former position. these idols sacrificed their lives, health, and talent for YEARS, and have it all taken away based on potential lies? Not good. He was a part of one of the biggest groups active today. I'm not saying i doubt his accuser (bc I'm fully aware that celebrities' public image doesn't mean they're just sweet & innocent lil babies...men are men), and history has shown us that really talented ppl can be privately disgusting human beings (slowly turning to glare at R. Kelly). I'm just asking for fairness. 🤷🏾♀️
No photo line with repeated apologies and bowing? Well. Well. Well. Apparently only those with the right connections are granted the rights to due process and benefit of doubts. How extremely terrifying. If the victim is male the punishments and condemnations are more swift? Wow.
exactly my question : why taeil's case get treated fairly? i mean protecting his rights and the victim's tooduring the investigation and not SUGA?? this all situation is unfair... Maybe SM is so accustomed with this kind of situation (cf park yushun) that they managed very well this situation unlike BH?? BUT for sure they knew about this case and for b me if SM dropped taeil is because the case is lost already and they can't protect him anymore... PS : nope taeil didn't send an apology message to anyone not even to his fans....
I liked how you said that in S. Korea being treated fairly means something unfair is definitely going on... but it's so true... the very difference of how our Yoongi was treated to how Taeil is being treated itself speaks volumes on the hypocrisy of the law enforcement and the government... Yoongi falling off his E-Keyboard is a bigger issue than Taeil allegedly doing something to another human being that may have scarred the other person for life and the fact SM is not protecting Taeil means the things are definitely too big and can be proven in the court of law for them to wash off their hands of their artist... that way my respect for Hybe has immersed the way the are handling the Min Hee Jin case and how supportive they were of Suga and believed in him as well like the ARMYs. The fact that the S. Korean women are reaching out to us international k-pop stans to help them by making it a big deal as they say the crimes against women have increased drastically and they don't feel safe coz the justice system is being very biased... but now seeing this I can understand their turmoil.
1. Because SM have "more power" than Hybe in bloking news 2. Because SM have Min He Jin inside Hybe who release and fake news 3. Because Hybe and Suga don't have nothing to be guilty. JUSTICE win everytime, we just have to wait and see.

While I am a fan of nct and I don’t plan to point fingers at other members (because there are so many cases of even the criminals family members being shocked by who they actually are), I REFUSE to believe SM wasn’t aware of this. I am convinced they were paying off news stations to talk about suga rather than taeil either to cover up controversy OR help the police keep the investigation under wraps so he couldn’t run off (which i would hope it’s the latter, but this is a massive company we’re talking about here). Think about it, though. Every time there has been an idol controversy under sm they put them on some kind of hiatus. Then they either work their way back into the group or have them go solo, but SM immediately kicking him out of NCT is a really bad, because that alone basically says that there is some pretty serious evidence against him. And before people say “but he’s still listed as a soloist on the website!” If they kick him out entirely before the end of his contract, they’ll have to compensate. And no it doesn’t matter if he’s a criminal, because by law they would owe him that money for the work he’s done, and if they didn’t he could sue them for even MORE than they already owed. All I can say is, it’s disappointing, but I bet this was a huge wake-up call for a lot of fans. I know I’m far from the parasocial side of believing they’re all wholesome innocent babies, but this still surprised me. Most importantly, I hope the victim gets their justice AND their privacy. As curious as I am about details, if the victim doesn’t want it shared with the public then it SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN TO THE PUBLIC.
His company, members and fans have already convicted him. Dropped him like a hot potato. Removed him from EVERTHING without even knowing if he is GUILTY of anything yet . Absolutely NO support from ANYONE his members or his label. What EXACTLY is he being accused of doing ?? I think one reason that SUGA was " thrown to the lions" is because there was video " evidence " of him doing something he wasnt supposed to do , and there is no " proof" from this other idol. Basically Suga was an " Easy target"😔
comparing maximum penalty according to law could give some perspective. drunk on a small electric scooter perhaps generates a fine, while s.a. probably gives jail time, length decided by severity of the crime. Taeil got correct treatment, Suga's oozes of jealousy because BTS's immense popularity. UGH, indeed
I had saved up to go to SK next year for festa but I’m not sure it seems very corrupt and very unsafe for women. When they react dope smoking worse than SA it’s a real concern also drunk on a pedestrian scooter like it the end of the world but SA and film it it is a lesser crime WTF
Yeah their laws are backwards. Stay away. The law there is extremely incompetent and corrupt as well as the media not to mention as a women you might get prayed on. And it's mysoginistic when it comes to who's side gets taken not to mention you're a foreigner.
Suga’s case is ridiculous in my opinion. The situation with Taeil seems more severe. As you say, he’s not been charged with anything but the fact that SM has discharged him as opposed to putting him on hiatus speaks volumes.
The thing I find so vile is how disrespectful people are to the victim. Like people sharing rumour's about their identity, people claiming to be the victim when it contradicts the little information we have, the continuous escalation of the alleged crimes. People are using this for fanwars, entertainment and their 5 minutes of fame and it's actually gross. There is a real victim here who doesn't deserve their trauma being exploited or twisted for attention.
It is so sad that someone getting the proper due process is shocking. Having seen so many celebrities brought down on rumour alone only to find they were either innocent or what they did was no where near on the level initially given - Suga falling from a scoter v the initial shock headlines of drunk driving and the images that inspired is an excellent example - it shows how society is far too eager to find gossip rather than the truth.
Couldn't have said it better myself. I have never in my life seen such a fake uproar over someone on the sidewalk on a freaking scooter fall on his own head. No wonder these young people be killing themselves. Smh
Thank you for continuously pointing out that it’s not an issue of Taeil shouldn’t have been treated that way but rather that SUGA was treated if not illegally, definitely unethically. I wonder if some of the treatment violated human rights laws.
It’s so ridiculous, it’s scary how corrupt this world is! We need to do something about it! ARMYs please stay active! Keep posting, keep protesting, we need to stop yellow journalism! … Creator! Love you! Keep doing what you’re doing, I’m reposting you everywhere I can and will do what I can to support you! 💜✊💜
This is worse than what Suga did. No man should EVER sexually assault a woman and when a woman say no she mean NO!!!! Just because you are in a popular boy group doesn't mean you can have everything you want and that includes a woman. This sicken me to hear about this because men thinks they can over power a woman they can have their way with them.
Definitely a double standard. I agree though that we shouldn’t be given the opportunity to judge someone guilty before knowing all the facts. We are quick to jump to conclusions. Plus, these allegations are totally disproportionate to Suga falling off a scooter!! Unfortunately, jealousy prevails and watching someone fall from makes them happy. Maybe it makes them feel better about themselves.
Thx for covering this! Shown the power of S.M. Funny how they say "recently learn of his crime" when the police booked him in June. I'm sure Hype tried to cover it up but also Sugar like to take responsibility. I understand DUI is important no matter, however, can't compare the sugar with what may happened to Taeil. If Taeil committed this, it is way horrible than what Sugar done. Korean netizen tend to look down and attacked the unnecessary crime than the actual crime.
Suga and Taeil's situations are like comparing apples to oranges. Imo, an alleged sexual assault trumps a kick-board scooter skid out under the influence at just around 0.08. Especially when nothing was destroyed and no one was injured. Now the situation with Taeil has been going on for quite sometime (years allegedly). It's obvious who is getting preferential treatment. Thanks for your update Sean...❤
You are right, that make the social Korean standards look weird. The Korean medias, for a French person like me, sound like matchist narrow minded people. Thanks for your smart comments. 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
This reminds me of a girl on youtube that said she was at an event in a club and saw idols around, but she was shocked that one of them did harass girls. Like being too pushy and touchy. Which is bad but at the same time she was saying that in Korean in clubs guys keep touching more than what they should. I don't know that club culture... but this youtuber was shocked.
A LOT of people benefits from the 200 articles a day coverage on Suga tripping over himself. Ask yourselves who these people are, and what they have done.
Yeah, the mental gymnastics break my brain too... I just hope it all ends soon for Suga and this guy, even if he turns out guilty, he's gonna get a ridiculous sentence like it always happens with SA related crimes.... all of that by itself, I just can't understand how much of a joke the justice system is over there. Anyway, thank you for this video.
Aside from coverups and double standards if there’s someone accused of serious crimes even in non corrupt world reporters would be more hesitant to expose it bcs of the possibility of innocence and thus lawsuits for incorrect information presented in the beginning. In any case I really don’t like how Suga was treated and I give him my support 💜
Great video! Believe it or not, some are praising SM for 'promptly'' expelling him! Well, SM should have put him on an indefinite hiatus back in June, when he was first booked by the police, and prohibit him from attending any activities., especially the fan meetings with young females. SM's media play is very deep.
Thank you! The obvious mistreatment of one idol over another is ridiculous. Thank you for reporting about this and the double standard the Korean media and law enforcement commit. SM do better we all know you knew and enjoyed the silence over this because it was covered over by Suga's mistreatment. 😒
Thanks @seoulitetv I was waiting for your take on this case, you are the most trust worthy channel when it come to Korean topics, and always appreciate your comments and the cultural nuances you give.
Much as we want suspects or persons of interest be immediately treated as guilty but this is not the rule of law. Suspects are innocent until proven guilty. This should have applied to both Min Yonggi of bts and Taeil of nct. Unfortunate for Suga his accident with the sidewalk on an electric scooter under "intoxication" became a sensational item that had haters salivating. For Taeil the complaint came delayed and a "cover" was prepared. Unlucky for Taeil the uproar on Suga's case made media and police as well as the general public alert on celebrity Suspects.
*Keep that woman safe at all costs. Before this turns into a…She committed S & S note stating she felt guilty for lying etc! SK is far from a safe country.*
I feel so bad the alleged victim & for his fans how betrayed they must feel but I am pretty angry at the double standard here it's ridiculous why wasn't anything said about I said about this in the media while they were trying to destroy a decent human being who made a mistake this is ridiculous!
Just FYI, Teail didn’t find out until late August when he went to tell SM. So why did they SM kick him out right away? Why not investigate I on his behalf.?
Sean, I disagree. These aren't only double societal stanndards, but double standards of the police as well. In Suga's, G-Dragon's and Lee's case, the police had press conferences IMMEDIATELLY. For Suga although he wasn't suspected or accused for major or grave crime for which he should go to jail. But in case of this NCT guy, with suspicion that he commited extremelly serious crime - nothing. Treatment by the book as it should be guaranteed for EVERY SINGLE KOREAN CITIZEN. Somebody really has to step on the police's chief and minister tail for this and remove them for position. For the police is DELIBERSTELLY SELECTIVELLY breaching the law and human rights of celeb suspects. This is GRAVE problem imho. And government has to be forced to deal with it. Or step out and leave it to the more competent government to deal with it.
the only concerning thing here is who everyone cries how unfair their media coverage is and not that there is a victim here and it's not suga. it's a woman who got SAed....
@@NippyBooksBecause it is not the subject ot the video. The subject of the video is the double standard. But we know there's a victim and I hope this woman will get justice. But I'm not sure about it. SK doesn't treat men and women equally. In the previous cases, the Burning Sun, the Nth room, the defendants got off rather well... it's disgusting !
5:04 It has more to do with who they are than the “badness” of their crime Would as many people show up to a Taeil press conference as for Suga? It’s not directly comparable
Why this kind of scandal didn’t trending like suga’s scooter accident?? And why the korean media didn’t become crazy to interview him?? See how stupid and discussting the korean media.. bcoz SUGA and BTS is very famous than this idol?!!!
All I heard was that he was cooperating with the police. Never saw one video or photo of him standing outside the police station. And no public apology either, like 4 letters
There's no way they told about this on mid August. When agencies are well known for whatever deeds their idols do, so fool of them to say like this. And SM or big 3 are well known for their media control. That's why they dont witch hunting them like crazy. So coward. And for the victim, wish she get fair justice and the police or court can be professional in this case and other case too.
@@Breathinbreathout-ov4loThere’s like multiple angles to look at this. But here’s are the two main angles I can think of. I know there’s more. There’s like two things, either the members actually knew and covered up for him since most of the NCT members were part of the SMRookies and SM told them not to say anything. Or they didn’t know because TAEIL May be a good manipulator and tricked the younger members, given the fact that Taeil is the oldest of the whole group. It’s really confusing to me if they actually did or did not know. I’m not gonna make a judgment officially about if the members did or did not know. But I will put out my thoughts about the TAEIL Scandal. Back then, I remember when Jungwoo said that the member that he would have his sister date and to make her happy is TAEIL because it’s based on how they would get along.-(He said “I think they’d be compatible. My sister likes calm guys.”.) Oh boy how well did that not age. Again, if the other members really didn’t know, can you even imagine being with someone for that and trust the person and then wake up and hear news like this?! But this really shattered their trust due to finding out. I mean it’s one thing to never trust strangers or outsiders but sometimes, people have their guard down around people they grow up with and work with everyday. You might think they’re good people because of them being good to you. My heart not only goes out to the victim accusing Taeil and I hope she finds justice and peace, and my heart also goes out to the other members-(if they truly didn’t know because TAEIL May have been a good manipulator or they were just blindsided and had their guard down.) And a vast majority of the younger NCT members looked up to TAEIL so much. This could literally not only make people unstan NCT, and other boy groups, since I remember what Seungri did, but this ruins the image of how men treat women and also ruin everything of NCT’s reputation. And before you guys are asking me, yes I am also an NCT-zen-(bias-DOYOUNG, Bias-wrecker-Yuta). Along with standing other boy groups and girl groups. But that’s not important right now. What’s important is that this girl does find justice, since the police has been investigating this since June of this year. But if its the case of if the other members didn’t know, Either way, whether he manipulated them or not, they were basically tricked for 6 whole years. TAEIL had a fake persona and blended in, trying to hide it for six years, which also includes the time of COVID. My heart goes to the victim/girl accusing him and the other members-(unless they actually knew and tried to cover up for him or SM told them not to say anything) Not only does this further ruins the image of how men treat women, but this ruins the perception of what people think of male idols and ruins the reputation of NCT, especially and specifically, NCT 127. But yeah I’m confused as a lot of people for the part of they knew or not.
@@junghoseokisawesomeboyz3332 Yeah that's what I was thinking too. I am also an nctzen and this really was an unexpected one. Because he kind of looked like a decent person. He just looked like a introverted shy guy who is a soft hearted one. If anything Taeil was the least expected member to come out of nct like this. And I didn't think about the other members involvement or anything until I saw he been doing this for 6 years. I mean how come such a group with 9 members didn't knew someone among them was doing this act for years?? It was just 2 years after the debut. So they must be even living together then. Even if it not about living together they still spend so much time for preparing, practicing and doing shows, concerts, interviews etc. They did went out for eating together and slept at each other places too. Even Chenle said that he used to come to his place often. But still i am not including him as he still may have room to not know exactly what Taeil was doing. But 127 members?? I mean didn't they atleast get suspicious of him?? How come none of them?? Also if they were aware and let him do that because sm told them to or because of them wanting to support him, then it's really a crime too. Or did they have involvement in this too?? (I hope they don't)These things was what came to my mind.
@@junghoseokisawesomeboyz3332 That the crime lasted for six years is just a crazy invention. But when will you all learn to rely only on reliable sources, instead of repeating like monkeys what other monkeys grunt?
I think it's because of the particular police station. They are handling the case how a case is supposed to be handled. We usually hear about a case at the Seoul Metropolitan Police, but this time was at Seoul Bangbae *sp police department. I think this is better for the victim. Because of the way it was handled, the victim is still unidentified. When handled by the Metro dept. the victim is always exposed!! Also, maybe they actually covertly investigated the claims brought against Taeil 1st before actually making blatant moves. So MY OPINION is that its not so much who protected Taeil but that it was handled more correctly by this particular dept. and KUDOS to them.
I don’t think it’s a lesser crime against women. I think it’s obvious that sexual assault is treated as a mister meaner but it more that it’s seen so much worse because it’s same sex and SK is still so terribly bigoted against homosexuality. In reality sexual assault is sexual assault gender should not be an issue. All sexual assault should be treated as a heinous crime regardless.
Maybe the Korean police department has realized that "photo lines" are inhuman after what happened with Suga and have decided to make changes. This would be a good thing.
When it comes to s*xual crime involving a woman, I don't think it will be taken seriously in Korea (at least from the videos I've seen about it from sk) In Suga's situation people just took advantage of it Some people are even making jokes on taeli's case (disgusting beings)
Whether or not someone looks guilty is completely irrelevant. The question is whether there is evidence to prove that they are guilty. Until then a person is innocent. We do a great disservice to accused people by trying them on social media. What if that person is found innocent? Their reputation will never be the same again. This is called CALUMNY and it is a serious sin. As fellow human beings we should always remember “there but by the grace of God go I”.
I sincerely hope that due to police miss guidance that we don’t have another suicide on their hands. Suga has done nothing to be ashamed of. He doesn’t have to apologize for tipping over on a scooter. Hope people stop the garbage/crap. Suga is a wonderful man and has done so much for Korea. Leave him alone and let him get on with his life.
Has there really been no media attention on this? Sexual assault is a big deal - 1 in 3 women will experience this in their lifetime. Do SK media and public not care about it, or about the wellbeing of their children? What if it was their child/sister/friend who was the victim? That women deserves every respect, and I wish her justice. This is teaching people that if you have money then you can cover it up and keep it quiet. I know he's been kicked out of NCT and will not be able to recover from this, but he will not face what Yoongi had - the media on slaughter must be crushing! It's been horrible to even watch and is constantly bringing up new disgusting actions against him with people sending the trucks, posting online, and making complaints at his military posting. I am in shock how these two cases have been dealt with! Bear in mind, Hybe could pay the media to keep quiet, this would be easier and they have the money. But I know Yoongi and Hybe are respecting the process and not hiding anything from the public, police, the justice system, or the fans. He has allowed the case to proceed without interfering with it at any point. It's everyone else in that damn country who seems to be interfering with false footage, and commenting hateful things, and spreading rumours and lies! I hope the case is resolved quickly with the prosecutors as once it's done, the media will have less to use against Yoongi and he can start to heal from this unnecessarily intense time. I hope he knows we will be waiting for him in 2025! Can't wait for the reunion of BTS and the world tour!
@@eileencritchley4630 It's also bad if someone is falsely accused too. All of it's messed up.

Huh so even imaginary non-existent victims are placed above women in SK 🤔

The incredible misogyny.

The amount of people that benefitted from pushing Suga in front of the headlights ,helping to keep their shady shenanigans quiet. How convenient 🤔

Good question! This is possibly a real crime.

That's why I never get personally attached to any idols anymore. It's okay if you support them for their work. You love the persona they created on the internet. But in reality, you truly don't know them. I learned my lesson from the Seungri scandal. Taeil is just another example.
I trust Suga as much as I am able to trust someone I don’t actually know. He has never been fake or tried to appear like he’s perfect.

I have literally been thinking about this since the suga falling incident. Like you actually don't care about your people's safety or DUI's. Because if you did why are so many dangerous people still walking on the streets of Korea because of YOUR FAILED system?
Because SM even though they are no longer the biggest Kpop Company they are 'Old Money' and have control over media narrative. Unlike HYBE who do NOT.
@alipotter0613 at this point I'm comfortable in saying this isn't a conspiracy but a straight up FACT

Uh. SM kicked from the group immediately? His career is over? What more do you want?
@@kellen5545 he isn’t kicked from SM. They didn’t say anything about his contract. They removed him from the group. Didn’t see you say the same with Suga when he apologised and did everything the police wanted. Again people are Willing to ride SA’s and defend them just like always
Now everyone can see the different treatments happening here, Both has its own weights of course. So sick
Pay money go no pay money go to stand on the photo line
@yomiyominom then toss in the former baseball player who was so drunk he caused an accident the next day and registered over the legal limit. From what I saw he's only gotten support and coddled.
I still cant comprehend how the public went crazy over suga falling from the scooter in front of his house, but not this haha
@yen-8680 Well but no one knows until the police come out with info, because he was not charged yet. The Media always invents things to get money.
@deltasaves Yes, everything is possible. That is why I am waiting to see what the police will declare and if he will be charged.

@@shamkand I agree. Personally a big compa h like SM saying "we won't tolerate SA crimes from our talent and staff" would mean so much for South Korea. Top down action is the only way to change the culture, just like in management

Not good. He was a part of one of the biggest groups active today.

exactly my question : why taeil's case get treated fairly? i mean protecting his rights and the victim's tooduring the investigation and not SUGA?? this all situation is unfair...

1. Because SM have "more power" than Hybe in bloking news
2. Because SM have Min He Jin inside Hybe who release and fake news
3. Because Hybe and Suga don't have nothing to be guilty.

I think you missed the most likely outcome: that Taeil told the label he was guilty.
and then they wonder why there is such a massive serious 4B movement in Kr.
comparing maximum penalty according to law could give some perspective. drunk on a small electric scooter perhaps generates a fine, while s.a. probably gives jail time, length decided by severity of the crime. Taeil got correct treatment, Suga's oozes of jealousy because BTS's immense popularity. UGH, indeed
Only double standard!!!!! How confusing trying to wrap your head around all the BS
He was reported by a woman for an unspecified sexual crime and was questioned by the police.
Smh
Yup. SK has one of the highest suicide rate and depression. They seriously need to self reflect before they are doomed.
Thank you for continuously pointing out that it’s not an issue of Taeil shouldn’t have been treated that way but rather that SUGA was treated if not illegally, definitely unethically. I wonder if some of the treatment violated human rights laws.

Who from SM swept this under the rug with Taeil for two whole months, while media dragged Suga through the mud. Someone got paid off.

@@Breathinbreathout-ov4lo No, because they don't all live on the same floor, so when a phone call comes in, everyone can hear what they're saying.
@@junghoseokisawesomeboyz3332 That the crime lasted for six years is just a crazy invention. But when will you all learn to rely only on reliable sources, instead of repeating like monkeys what other monkeys grunt?
sean you're the best in explaining stuff
Bcz BTS is on top even while in military and haters can't stand it.
u said it! 💜💜
I had a similar thought - is it the misogyny or the homophobia?
Nah didn’t the police say victim is adult woman? These same sex and all is from twitter fake accounts spreading misinformation
Maybe the Korean police department has realized that "photo lines" are inhuman after what happened with Suga and have decided to make changes. This would be a good thing.
When it comes to s*xual crime involving a woman, I don't think it will be taken seriously in Korea (at least from the videos I've seen about it from sk)
In Suga's situation people just took advantage of it
Some people are even making jokes on taeli's case (disgusting beings)
I realy appreciate your profesdionalism. And also the fact that you clearify how Koreans think and do. Thank you
Whether or not someone looks guilty is completely irrelevant.
We were all so happy about the live :) I refreshed and voila - here ye be :)
