Hi Mandy. I have followed you for a while but never commented. I now feel the need to do so. I am 8 years on from breast cancer. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The way you are dealing with it is fantastic. I felt the same. After the initial shock I was like I have to do this, no other option …. And I did! I fell I am now a better person and have moved on in life and doing a job I always wanted to do and love it. One word of advice, look after John. My husband still struggles with it today. I’m sure John will be amazing and look after you like my husband did. I know you have many people to talk to but if you need any questions answered please ask. Sending love xxxx

Great idea to have easy-care hair! I use coconut oil at bedtime every night (on my hands and face only, I should add! ;) ) and I think it's a really great moisturiser.

I had my hair cut short before I started my chemo journey , I didn’t lose it but it seemed to get a life of its own 😄 My first chemo after like you having a shock diagnosis I was really nervous but it’s a bit like first day at school when you’re not sure what’s going to happen and where everything is . I had 5 heavy duty chemo but a week after each one a nurse from the unit rang me to see how I was and I had phone numbers to contact them with any worries or questions and I also had a bag of assorted meds in case I felt sick etc . Unfortunately my treatment now is palliative , I have chemo every three weeks and don’t have side effect , touch wood . Good luck on your journey it sounds as though you will get a good result .xxx
In the last 6 years I have had a HUGE hernia, Prostate cancer, Pacemaker and a spell in hospital with a DVT. The prostate cancer radiotherapy wasn’t too bad but HAS had some effect on me in the following years. I wish I had known about the coconut oil, it would definitely have helped.
Hair is great x attitude to everything is even better x you are brave and you make your followers chuckle x just get on with giving that cancer the kick up the butt it needs xx

I did an automatic "Oh wow" at the first sight of your new hair cut,it looks fabulous really suits you. When my son had his radio therapy he lost his hair up to the top of his ears,when it grew back the new hair was curly but the top was straight.He hated it so had it cut very short as he has ever since.
