MIL Snooping: "I am dealing with the problem, by moving out." With the birthday ex-friends, I love how she says "You're too controlling!" Before almost immediately turning around and saying "You need to tell me to do these things." 😂
Story 3. Put a MASTER LOCK on your door and install CAMERAS in your room. When she denies entering your room, show her the EVIDENCE. Story 4. OMG! Even I'M not THAT helpless! I HYPERFOCUS on finding my flight gate, THEN get something to eat somewhere near that gate.
With story 2? I do not fault OP for saying they refuse to talk to his SO's family after they literally kicked him while he was down. Making untrue assumptions is so wrong. I can't imagine if I had an SO and her family talked shit about me due to being on disability. That doesn't mean I wouldn't hold my own by any stretch. OP did the right thing by putting his foot down.
Also the fact that they never even asked OP a single question. They got fractions of information at hand and just assume the worst, not even taking in consideration that OP is still paying his share of the bills. They just see the negative aspects but complete wipe out his reasoning for his behavior (mental health) or that he is actively looking for jobs already. And i kinda agree with the Narrator that there is something fishy with them being this offensive and not very talkactive/willing to listen in the slightest.
Story 1: OP, your father doesn’t have any rights to be in your life and the lives of those you care about. He’s definitely toxic and entitled. For him to show up to your house and tell you he’s moving in with you, the gall of him.
This father get no right demands move in his daughter’s 🏡 and told his her and her husband move into guest bedroom. Then he into ensuite bedroom for ego because he let move in with her ex fiancée number of women. In this father mind this kid owned him.
Story 3 is legit the same thing I am going through with my boyfriend and his mother. I am also extremely independent and my boyfriend is extremely coddled. Because my boyfriend and I are saving up, we're living with his parents. I live in a detached garage with him. I legit had to fight her to get her to stop washing his clothes because it also had my clothes in them and I don't like people going through and seeing my underwear. She still goes through both my boyfriend's and my stuff and puts things into clear plastic bins or trash bags. She conveniently forgets where she puts things and constantly complains if we make a mess. It causes me so much anxiety that she insists that we practically need to clean the whole house if we make any sort of mess.
NTA. Why would anyone in their right mind want their child to move out of their own home so their parent can move in? It's their child's home, not theirs, therefore, nobody can reasonably kick them out of a house they pay property taxes on. But, since Daddy Dearest wants to move into the house without said homeowner occupying the space, he can also handle the property tax, the utilities, and the mortgage. IDGAF.
I think story 2 was just a misunderstanding, i believe that her family is coming from a right place and its better to be safe than sorry. He's not overacting because he didn't do anything wrong and they're accusing him that hes a bad person.
The tradition here is for the person who has the birthday to pay for everyone they've invited :P Not for the guests to pay for the person with the birthday.
So...why does anyone there celebrate their birthday at all? It's way cheaper to just not invite anyone. Not having to foot the bill for a bunch of other people sounds like a great birthday present to me.
Story 3 are locks made out of paper nowadays? This is the second story where damn fingernail could open lock. We need to make locks better. Last story good for you for cutting those take advantage of you jerks out.
Story 1: Jesus, the father in this story is a complete moron. He's got no right to try and move in to the OP's house after everything he did. Story 2: the OP's girlfriend's family needs to understand that yes, the OP did make a bunch of mistakes, that's what makes us human. The family had no right to figuratively kick the OP while he's down. Story 3: The mother is really being toxic, going through the OP's things and whatever else. Move out. Now. Story 4: I don't blame the OP for going no contact with these friends just because of taking advantage of the OP.

Hey can you explain my story I already write it in your com
MIL Snooping: "I am dealing with the problem, by moving out."
With the birthday ex-friends, I love how she says "You're too controlling!" Before almost immediately turning around and saying "You need to tell me to do these things." 😂
When in Rome, do as the Romans.
Can't have that both ways.
Story 1. Hell no, dad. This is MY house! YOU can go back to YOUR OWN HOUSE!
I'm not even bothering to watch Story 4... that story sounds absolutely absurd!
Story 4 Emma’s birthday: the birthday girl never pays
Your birthday: you organised it so you should pay

I'm glad they changed the narrator back
Noo the other Narrators are cool too.

The toxic MiL story. If I was petty Iwould hire a workman to install a full lock in the room.
Ty for the video
Toxic people who use you don't belong anywhere in your life

Story #4 With friends like them who need enemies
I think story 2 was just a misunderstanding, i believe that her family is coming from a right place and its better to be safe than sorry. He's not overacting because he didn't do anything wrong and they're accusing him that hes a bad person.
its too bad being the one who cant tell people to f off. i was like that, and i can guarantee that without this trait its way better.
the snoopy MIL story, nope. Two warnings, one polite, one blunt. After that, I'm out, goodbye, hubby can either stay or go with me.
Honestly? That went as well as the OP's father should have expected back in story one.
Lmfao just make excuses not to attend anything and stop responding
I’m seeing more and more entitled behavior like that of the father, lately.

@@jrytacct cultural difference, I guess. People value good company more than they value saving up money.
In Togo, the birthday person also gives a gift to someone close.
The issue was her hypocrisy.
