My brother bought 2014 expedition 600 ACE. I bought we he moved got it around 8,000 miles sold it to my older brother stop running at about 19k. ACE machine are good if you take carry of them really good. Got me a new 2020 expedition 600 ACE almost 4k miles already doing good so far. I sure like them 600 ACE motors
I just bought a renegade enduro 900ace (no turbo) and I love it. Its quite and burns very little gas and should last many years without a rebuild. Too often are people talking about a rebuilt motor on a sled that's just 2 or 3 years old. Put a turbo on the 900ace and it must be ridiculously fast and hopefully the reliability is not sacrificed. Now I want to buy a SxS maverick with a 900ace turbo, that would be a really fun machine. BRP is on top of its game for sure and leading the industry on many fronts.
Any idea how long the turbo would last on the skidoo? I find it hard to give up the 1200 for 15 hp but wont have a choice when I'm done with it and dont want to go down to an ace non turbo.
I always enjoy Mark's commentary and perspective. Keep up the great work! I would like to offer a few corrections: 1. Rotax "ACE " is an acronym for "Advanced Combustion Efficiency", not "Engine". 2. The Sea-Doo Spark is NOT offered with the 600 ACE twin, but rather a "detuned" (de-mapped) 60 HP version of the 900 ACE triple cylinder, and a 90 HP version identified as the 900 HO ACE.
Ski doo is ahead of ths curve. When emissions laws tighten, they will be ahesd of their competition. Time will show the wisdom of Ski Doo four stroke technology. 29 on the gallon with ever rising fuel prices is certsinly a positive for the trail rider and family who ones a fleet of sleds.
These 4 stroke turbos are awsome, endless amounts of power and reliability. I have over 9000 miles on my 1100 turbo cat and it is indestructible. Unfortunately, the industry still treats a high mileage 4 stroke the same as a high mileage 2 stroke, financially. But if you plan to keep her long term and love speed and reliability, 4 stroke rules.
Instead of always 'bigger and faster', a reasonably priced no frills basic entry level sled, say equipped with a single cylinder 300cc ACE (25-30HP) in my opinion would be a great way to attract new people into the sport. What the previous generation Tundra were up to 2009. IMO Polaris is on the right track with their Indy 'Evo' model but a quieter and more efficient 4-stroke would be a better seller.
Agree. The lower end market is where you find your future customers. A 45 to 50 mph 300 single is a great way to get new people involved in the sport. Low cost, easy maintenance certainly will help in the allure of snowmobiling.
Pretty sure Yamaha has their genesis triple base in all powersport applications in one form or another. I would also go as far to say, they own the four stroke market. Hell, they even have their engines in other manufactures sleds. (arctic cat obviously) I appreciate what skidoo is doing just as much as the next guy, but we all know who rules the roost.
Manna42 - in theory, more reliable more efficient cleaner smoother quieter dont have to fill the oil although you do have to change it and they deliver power a little different. But honestly it’s preference theyre both fast as stink but one will have one or two things an individual would like more than the other
@@THEAVERAGEGAMER13 do u find the 4 stroke engines much heavier? I havent been into sledding in years. Thinking of getting back into it. Im only familiar with 2 strokes but i know 4 strokes are becomming very popular.
Quincee 33 I havent compared weights of tge same model sled but new ones are around 40 pounds more than the 2strokes which will be noticeable for sure but not crazy. What kind of riding are you into
I spotted an inaccuracy in your video. 60HP Sparks have the same 3 cylinder 900 ACE engine as the 90HP version. Literally the only difference is the ECU tune. I say this as someone who bought a 60HP Spark and had it upgraded to 90HP for $100. There are no Sparks with the 600 ACE. I don't even see a marine version of it on Rotax's site.
900 HP? Seriously, edit. Cold side plumbing on this setup is the first thing I'd change. What is the displacement for the 900? Seems low on power, not impressed after 20 years of Yamaha 4-stroke dominance in this class of engines.
SnowTrax Television. Can you please do a complete review on the 900 ACE Renegade . Over and over you talk about the 900 ACE turbo. Most people don't or can't sink 20k into a sled purchase. Love your show but please move away from all the hype of the turbo. Thanks Mark Bow.
Ron Bradshaw Yamaha wasn’t the first 4 stroke. Cat was. And the manufacturer that produces more 4 strokes than all manufacturers put together is SkiDoo.

You guys have the best job, I wish I could ride and review snowmobiles for a living. But great channel
This should have been longer, I was really enjoying this video.

Lol the spark uses the ace 900 HP triple! How fast does it go?
At the 3:00 mark
I caught that as well haha
Wesley Christensen that’s sick! When will we see the 900 hp snowmobile?
I think is actualy 1000 HERSEPERRRS with the side pannels off !
better not be false advertisement, I want this spark, with extended warranty please. I"d say it does about 200MPH.
Was that a commercial?

Does Suzuki still make snowmobile engines for ArcticCat ?
No. I know im late here but cat builds there own 2 strokes. And use Yamaha 4 strokes
Wow!, gonna have to ride my son's 900 hp Spark, hope his insurance company doesn't change his premium! Lol
Why does the 900 ACE turbo still make less power then an 850 even though it has higher displacement and a turbo?
jeremy8159 what is the advantage of the 900 turbo over the 850 tho
High hp sleds don't sell well after the first year. Ski Doo doesn't want to repeat that.

Let's be real, spark is popular due to the fact that it MSRP's for 5k. At that price point it makes itself easily attainable.
Sign me up for that spark 900 HP!!!!! 😂😂😂
And the 900 horse power triple? LOL!

I wish i had snow for my arctic cat
Spark has 900 ace with 60 or 90hp. No twin ace is used in watercrafts
28mpg?? Best my 600 ACE has gotten is 18 ?? Which I am happy with.
3:05 900 horse power ace dang lmfao
Nothing technologicaly new about 'coated cylinders' (Nikasil type plating), it has been used on dirt bike engines since the late 1980's.
Only if rotax could make snow... 💩
Ski*
900 HP triple LOL nice work on the editing!! you guy need some one to check your shit LOL
Fire your editor lol. 900hp Spark?

And,,,,,,,, Ski Doo and their fans, were laughing the loudest when Yamaha first introduced 4 cylinder, 4 stroke engines in 2003

@@ebsell Cat? what model? what year?
@@ronbradshaw7404 t660 was cats first modern 4 stroke.
WTF is on his chin ??! LOL 😄
