Its like the Walking with Dinosaurs show with actor in a costume and they look real I wounder if they are part of this they have gone allover the world. And now they have a show how to train your Dragon my friend just seen it about a month ago and she said could not tell if they were fake. Great video made me laugh.
I know how they did this as i saw a documentary on NHK last year. It's a guy in a dinosaur & he controls the face & jaw movement, but the way it's been designed & balanced so the guy inside is not weighted down giving him fast movement & to look fluid when his does the movements. You can search for 'dinosaur mall' on YT and you'll find lots of videos of this and how it works. There's one person in there, walking and controlling the motions, blinking, sounds etc. I saw a documentary once where they said how much this whole thing weighs, don't remember but it was a lot :)
There's a person in there, probably on platform shoes (or something like that.) There are different models of this dinosaur ouftit where the legs have to come out of the outfit, (because a lot of dinosaurs have inverted knees like birds) and the operator just wears tights that match the color of the dinosaurs legs. It's still very convincing.
without doing research,I'd say theres a human in there making it walk,the head and tail are robotic,must be some super lightweight materials.I'd like to know how they knew what colors to paint it being no one has ever seen a real one :) Still exciting to watch.

It's controlled by 3 people off to the side with remotes. It's movement is quite realistic or as real as we think since nobody has actually seen a living dinosaur.
pures1n There IS a person inside that thing! It's a Dinosaur Suit that's controlled with Pulleys, and has hidden cameras inside the suit so the person inside the suit won't accidentally hit someone.
i am legitimately confused. dont know how they did this, its movements are way too fast and smooth for it to be a robot but i dunno how they managed to fit in a person in there either lol. well played japan, well played.................
Ami rose This is a mechanical suit. It is controlled by levers and pullies with cameras around it so it doesn't hit anyone. There is a person inside. The tail uses the feet's momentum to make it look like it moves naturally. I've done reasearch... :D
That was awesome! Now if only they would have had some fake blood and guts and made it look like it killed one of the trainer, it would have been perfect. LOL
