Why do these Presto have a rubber overpdessure plug whereas Fissler does not seem to have one? Ive had the plug shoot out on one occasion and it was because the rubber had deteriorated significantly
I need a replacement gasket for Mirror 4 qt cooker it's 9". It's over 50 yrs old and can't see any model #. Everything I see use model # and not size of gasket. Help
I plugged in my instant pot and poured a cup of water and some white rice into the exterior pot without placing the interior pot first!! I'm very upset because there are little pieces of rice stuck at the bottom. How can I get this repaired? I'm assuming it would be dangerour for me to use it with the rice stuck there. PLEASE ADVISE. PLEASE HELP.
Harden over time my eye. Hardens every season is how it is. Replaced this thing every year or two since I've owned. I should have kept the All American but It was getting heavy. I can put rye flour paste on the gasket and it seals, I guess that is what I will plan on doing every time I use it.

I'm not totally sure why that would be, but the best answer I can give you is that the gasket may not properly fit the deluxe pressure cooker, or the deluxe pressure cooker may have a setting or capability that makes it incompatible with this gasket. If you have your pressure cooker's model number, I might be able to direct you to the correct gasket? Thanks again for you question
@@FIXTechGuides Hello there. Thanks for the quick response. This is what I bought from Amazon: Prestige PRDASP Deluxe Alpha Induction Base Pressure Pan, Senior, Stainless Steel (ASIM# B00QWPZ7GO). Your help would be greatly appreciated. The gasket fits well but it came with a red tag attached to it and the tag said DO NOT USE ON PRESTIGE DELUXE PRESSURE COOKER. It looks like a rubber gasket to me and it is quite indistinguishable from the original gasket I have.

My old Presto A304A cooker does not show replacement of ring here. Took me 2 1/2 days fiddling wiith it. Am about to try cooking with water to see if seals properly.

you cannot repair rubber
you buy a new one, it is not repairable.
