Vargas is a very good BJJ practitioner. Hopefully, with his growing popularity the IJF can see the need and benefit for more newaza in judo competitions. It really hurts me too see Judoka with very poor or none existant Newaza. Judo is a complete gi grappling art. The IJF should remove all the constraints that are killing the sport of Judo and limiting Judo's full potential .
@@laithalmasri6985 Its not too weird. He is an exceptional athlete. typically it takes about 5-7 years to become a Judo black belt. 7-10 years to become a BJJ black belt so it makes sense he is a brown belt in BJJ and a black belt in Judo.

The weird part is he's a brown belt in BJJ butvblack belt in judo but he did BJJ before judo
