+Nick Josef A Swiss-type lathe is a variety of turning machine that feeds the stock through a guide bushing. This means the OD turning tool can always cut the stock near the bushing, and therefore near the point of support, no matter how long the workpiece. The machine feeds the work out of the spindle and past the tool as it goes. This makes the CNC Swiss-type particularly effective for long and slender turned parts.
Along with being incredibly accurate. I run a tsugami s206, and i regularly hold +/-.0001 tolerances. Granted i generally have centerless ground stock.

The question should not be “How much for the lathe?” The question should be “How much money is that lathe going to make me?” The price is irrelevant because profit made by a good machinist with this tool will make this lathe an investment, not a purchase.
The sound that machine makes is incredible! :D
I know, brings back such memories.
Man I love working with these types of lathes.
Me to its so good its almost adicting
Why is there never any sound? Hiding spindle issues? Ballscrew issues?
This is likely material that they use in sales pitches. They don't want any sound to be playing so they can talk while the machine is working.
Also brass seems prone to squealing when machined
had a swiss type at the old job, had no idea how that thing worked

Very Great
cool
where is coolant?
running without coolant for demonstration purposes
@@mattroberts16 no brass no need for coolant
You wouldn't need coolant running that material
