@QuantumMercury you mentioned the Tamatoa + Fortisphere combo briefly in your video. I think this line of play shouldn't be overlooked. It sounds very strong and could be huge in a challenge heavy meta. I feel like that is where we are headed with the release of the new set. Imagine trying to brute force your way through a 5/8 character with bodyguard and possibly resist due to your Cogsworths; all while your Belles and Cogsworths have the green light to quest freely.
It's good that you course corrected instead of jamming AWNW. I found something similar in my testing that it didn't fit the game plan. Also came to similar conclusions about Grab Your Swords. I think that so many characters can sing it, it's totally worth playing. So many decks go wide with value pieces it's nice to break symmetry and be able to deal with aggro.
I'm so glad you've done this! I asked in your last post for this and I agree, I haven't seen anyone else talking about sapphire/steel. Really curious about A Whole New World although I see your point, still not sure I would, but I have admittedly lowered how many I've been running recently. Other card I half expected to see running and didn't is Ariel: Sonic Warrior. Thoughts on her?
I put a B/S together. I'm pretty excited. More hero version. From the new set, added Sisu "wise friend" 6/6 ink able 2 quest, Anna true hearted 4 cost 2/4 hero characters get plus 1 lore. That's going to be big. Cause of that took Belle out added Prince Charming 4 cost 3/3 quest for 3. He's a hero from floodborn. Added 2 the queen. Added 4 fortisphere card draw and turn someone into a bodyguard. I think Anna is a great card. I don't play Pixelborn so I haven't tested. Friends tell me it's not the same as real-life play.
Hey! I think the play on that turn you were debating at ~13mins could have been: fishbone inks a hiram, cogs sings grab swords, hood finishes beast for +2 lore, hard cast zeus to clear op hood, quest w scuttle. You get 3 damage on hood but an extra lore and save damage on cogs
I play a lot of sapphire steel. My new deck has three Ariels. She has been my saving grace against many decks. Especially ruby sapphire! She has 3 strength and ward, so ice block does not get rid of her. I mostly have more items than other decks but if I don't, she still quests for 3. Definitely worth trying her out!
Great video! Are you concerned at all with all of Ruby's new ways to bounce out 1 strength characters? It really seems like Hirim is more vulnerable than ever.
I can see that Flaversham with the eight 1-cost items is incredibly good card draw but with the new ruby sisu your flaversham is not as reliable anymore, so i would still opt for two whole new worlds.
With Belle, Robin Hood, and Beast being pricier cards (especially compared to the rest of the deck), which one would ypu say takes priority in acquiring? And following that, any temporary placeholders in the meantime, or does the deck rely on them?
@@QuantumMercury agreed! I was able to top 2 in set champs with it at a 42 player event. All the new tools added just makes it feel all that much better. I just finished building your list on paper I’m going to run it tomorrow!
I think this deck just feels more consist than the red version. With Ruby, you feel like your constantly exhausting your hand and reacting to your opponent's board too much (depending on drawing the outs over and over). With this deck you stablize earlier.
This doesn't seem to be working for me. It falls flat on its face against discard - they can throw out everything you draw - is very reliant on the Robin shift and everything is a victim to Medusa ^^;
I want Blue Steel to be good, but still feel Ruby Sapphire is the way to go with the ramp deck. The 2 drop Scuttle opens up Teeth and Ambitions as an option again to help against the aggro and evasive
I play baboom in blue steel, and it tends to be a great 2nd turn play. I understand singing a song is better for tempo and all, but if i already have fishbone quill in my hand baboom works great! I also play grab your sword in my list, which can often be an early board wipe to aggro. The match up between sapphire ruby and sapphire steel is night and day from last set. I win about 50 percent of the time now! And feel good about most of my other matchups.
I hate the moment, when i can sing whole new world, but my enemy has 0 cards :P this new item help a lot, but still i have so many problem to win against red decks..
Still annoyed they gave steel another pawpsicle. I’ve always liked ruby as the superior variant with sapphire, so lame that color didn’t get a free item draw since I don’t want to convert stuff to overpriced steel staples.
This deck got stronger in this set but also isn’t tier 1 anymore. Especially against steel how is this a good matchup value steel? Item item item -> banish all items you may as well scoop
Based on what exactly? You have some early characters and shift target to take care of the cursed, flynn etc. I personally think emerald steel while very good is also a bit overhyped especially in set 3.

Keep up the replays, these are great.
Helps to listen and watch when you can't get much time to play irl for practice

Really enjoyed this video! Thanks for the gameplay!
I love this, I've always wanted to try blue steel and this is my vibe. I can't wait to watch the rest of your deck idea videos

I’d love to see a blue steel hero build! Great video and look forward to new videos
Love your videos! 🎉 Can you share why you don't have any item destruction in this deck?
That's a good point, why was Benja taken out? Surely he is useful, especially against Ruby/Sapphire?
I doubt 1 benja would make a difference against an item deck
@@antonybrisson4090 but any Benjas, usually steel runs a couple, so wouldn't mind hearing why they were taken out.

Thank you for the video! It's my favorite color combination but the full items list didn't run the way I wanted
Glad it was helpful!
Love the SS thoughts and gameplay
I didn’t mean to say good night and can’t edit lol
Im loving this deck!
Glad to hear it!
That deck looks spicy af
Nice!
🔥🔥 pretty sick deck build
Whats your opinion on the new uninkable arielle? 5 lore with more items as your enemy doesnt sound to bad imo.
I think she ended up being underwhelming, at least in this deck.

Interesting take
I think it will be strong this season with or without wheel
Great video! Are you concerned at all with all of Ruby's new ways to bounce out 1 strength characters? It really seems like Hirim is more vulnerable than ever.
Yes, small Sisu will see tons of play in RS because of Ice Block.
My face when I see your opponent quest with his 1 drop Rafiki... 0_o
I guess we won't take this match into account!
I can see that Flaversham with the eight 1-cost items is incredibly good card draw but with the new ruby sisu your flaversham is not as reliable anymore, so i would still opt for two whole new worlds.

For this deck, I think it will rely on those draw engines. Instead of Beast you could sub back in AWNW.
Looks like a fun build I will have to give it a try. I am having a hard time breaking away from Ruby Amber haha.
I think Ruby Amber is great after this set!

Muedsuable should be an official word 🤣 love the video good night
For some reason ramping into red stuff doesn’t thrill me but I love ramping into big tink lol
I think this will be a good deck for awhile

I’ve seen lists play 1 AWNW. What do you think about that? I guess we don’t want multiples but 🤔
I think you can play anywhere from 1-3, I don't think you want to play 4 anymore.
This doesn't seem to be working for me. It falls flat on its face against discard - they can throw out everything you draw - is very reliant on the Robin shift and everything is a victim to Medusa ^^;
If discard is popping up a lot you could try including AWNW again.

if dont have enough bells in real life do you think new ward ariel could replace it ?
Wow, i like a lot this deck list. Why don't I see Belle in the Dreamborn's list?
I updated it, Ariel is more resilient than Belle.
Problems I see with this deck are locations, only 2 zeus
I hate the moment, when i can sing whole new world, but my enemy has 0 cards :P this new item help a lot, but still i have so many problem to win against red decks..

so, in the mirror match, you say "we don't play Benja anymore" - why don't we?
it’s a little too slow, and not high enough impact given the volume of items. 4 one drop items in Sapphire, steel make Benja very low impact.
@@QuantumMercury got it - I'll just have to run 8 or 12 of him then. :)
I feel like this deck gets cooked by all things emerald, which i hate to admit
