UPDATE 29/8/2022:
We found the owner of the GoPro - or he found us... He is from Paris in France and we returned the GoPro to him! The camera was not registered at GoPro.
Join us on our trip through the western Alps between Italy and France. We did find a lost GoPro on the trail down from Col du Parpaillon, lost by a French gravel bike athlete.
We hope you enjoy the video as much as we enjoyed making it.

In the Video we use our GAPIID tool to reset the faults on our LR Discovery 3. We also have a Icarsoft I930 OBDII tool.

Yes, as David Handley says your videos can be watched all day every day. How on earth does Vera manage to run up and down mountains and still be up first to make your coffee? Lucky Vera found that GoPro and hopefully the owner sees your posts and claims it, let us know how that goes.

Loved this video !! Passing a 4x4.. that was a Mehari.. perfect for those passes. Super soft 2cv suspension and small. Thanks for sharing some location info. If I'd known about these routes across the Alps in the late 80s when I lived in UK I would have taken my range rover. Wow Vera.. running those passes. Quite the athlete.

Nice video, I drove the Col du Parpaillon 2 weeks ago in my Land Rover Discovery 2 (video on my channel), on my way from the UK to Sardinia. Its a great track.

Really enjoyable to watch
As always loving your videos. Brings back happy memories of our D3 and Howling Moon stargazer rooftop tent in Namibia, along with our trips up Sani pass to Lesotho up 3200 metres. Always stopping and checking the "bing bong" faults with our Nanocomm. However after a single 10,000Km's overland trip we soon learnt to just stop reset the ignition and off we went. Happy days.. Enjoy every moment life is for living and nor a rehearsal 👍
Absolutely, just because there was a bing and bong and the car went into limp mode, does not mean it needs to be towed right away. Always keep your cool and have a diagnostic tool with you. We also just restarted the car and everything was fine. 😃💪🙋♀️Vera
Just when you were running out of LR repairs to do and film ... all you need is someone with a 2 post lift .. lol 😁. Great to see you back out on those mountain trails and putting all your work and invention to good use 🙂

In outback Australia, we have camels running in front of the 4x4 on the track and won't get off the track, so you are stuck doing 20km/h. You guys have bikes, motorbikes and Vera's running on the track in front of your 4x4 and some, but not all, get out of the way.

Good luck currently half way down France with the re built gearbox in the disc it's unbelievable smooth as silk and feels very powerful 600 miles since re build all going well heading to Carcassonne then via Andorra to Barcelona, happy Holidays

Love all your videos, come to the UK and have a look at the Highlands and Islands in Scotland, Wales and the Lake District, you can stock up on cheaper LR parts as well 👍
Wow some great views and great to see the Discovery for its intended purpose and yes it certainly looks the part. Congrats vera on running all the way there. I wonder if the Air Intake could be quite if they lined it with some sort of felt material? Don't know if you guys ever watch UA-camr Eva zu Beck on her lone journey , she just had her Land Rover refitted out in the US she also uses drones that follows her and the footage is really good.

Ahh, I love those mountain roads, even though I think of these mountains, somehow naked, without the snow! Do you remember, some decades ago, were those mountains snow covered during summer?
We are pretty far south on these roads and not really high in elevation. The snow-capped mountains of the ALPS are further north, but of course, there is no offroading and there are too many tourists. That is why we never go there. This region we always go to has lots of snow in the winter because it's relative closeness to the Mediteraenian Sea. 🙋♀Vera

Know that track up and down mountains was great really enjoyed watching . Would check that clicking out first before replace drive shafts could be something else around bearing hub enjoy
Oh oh oh, the dreaded "LR half-shaft" strikes again!!!! In Houston where I live, you're lucky to get 3yrs out of a daily driven one and by GOD are they *e.x.p.e.n.s.i.v.e*
It's the first time for us. The bad part is that you can't even get expensive ones here in Germany as of right now. Stuck with cheap aftermarket and we know how that may turn out. 🙋♀️Vera
@@Vera_and_Christian Sometimes, if you're lucky and can find the right machinist to take it apart, the original OEM ones can be rebuilt so long as the cage isn't cracked or worn beyond all reason. Here in the states a whole new half shaft is over $650 when one of the ends inevitably fails.. Somehow the bearing races seem to outlive the actual bearings inside so try repairing it coz you're right, aftermarket is crap on a stick!
@@MacPoop Yes, and thankfully, I am married to the right machinist and driveshaft expert, renowned world wide. On street, you don't feel anything at all, so we have time to deal with that issue. 💪🙋♀Vera
