    THANKS for your reply about the Margarine, in my mother receipt she only puts i cup Gari, and 1 cup grated coconut,or desiccated coconut hand full,raisins, 9 tbl brown sugar to taste ,Ground mixed spice,butter 1/4 packet,pinch of salt water, mix melted butter with the rest put enough water on till soft, but no too waterie, then 3/4 hr in oven or less. Now can you show us receipt for salt fish sauce, cow heel soup,shrimp cake, pumpkin fritters, and Saweine. now this last receipt is made from vermicelli fried ,now why I mention this is because in a different part of Guyana they could call it some thing else. I know the the recipts for all of them ,but I would like to see your receipt for them, thanks.

    How should I prepare the cassava if I'm going to use fresh cassava? Do I just peel it and grate it? I've heard that it can be poisonous/there's a special way to prepare it.

    • @RealNiceGuyana
      @RealNiceGuyana  Рік тому

      Yes, the safe way is to peel it first then scrape a thin layer off. Boiling the cassava removes most of the poisonous stuff from it. The water in which it is boiled should not be re-used also.
