i love this down play jazz. guys please make more music as Zero 7. nothing found anywhere. you are the original and the only product that can bring this sound to us. you all didn't give us enough down tempo jazz with sia and sophie to cut you loose. please re-group and make more ageless down tempo sweetness. the world will benefit.
I don't think it’s fair to call Sia their ‘lead singer’, she sang with them yes but seeing as their biggest single was not with her I don’t think of her as their lead singer any more than I think of Leslie Feist as the lead singer of Broken Social Scene. Sia’s success was not built by her work with Zero 7, her first successful tracks came like 8 or 10 years later.
So this is the original singer.. Wow i like her so much better ! what going on with the band did they ditch her for a blonde.. then now come out with a single of all male voices>? so upset at this!~She's the one and only!! Her sound is raw not so commercial and these men in the band seem to remain while the women change .. whats next all male band? She has the seductive voice
@L41n14L To be honest, I got this from an older video on youtube that disappeared and thought it was too good not to keep in circulation. Glad you enjoy!
+Ryan256 Bull. It's just right. Backround singers are ALWAYS too damn loud, then us on lead wind up having to shout over three or other singers at my volume. I try to back way down when I'm behind someone else, because it's not the Michelle show 24/7...:)
Great version but I do prefer the 2001Jools Holland later performance with Sophie Barker. I am just interested in the music not so much close ups of individual members apart from the lead singer. Just my opinion.
She looks different now, do they have or had a different lead singer...on jimmy kimmel live she had blonde hair was thinner and looked different...someone tell me if you can....laterzzzzzzzzz. 420
@Cursedmist they seem to select different vocalists at differnt times. Spohie, Sia, Tina..I like em all. But I gotta agree..Zero 7 the female voice compliments your music too well to ditch it. Let Massive attack handle that. you are great! with Tina, Sia, or Sophie. But keep the singing female!
zero 7 had 3 singers. 2 were blonde. sophie was the first singer and the "in the waiting line" track was originally sung by her. just dig a bit and you will find the other 2. "Destiny" was sung by both sophie and sia furler. she was blonde.

I guess the robot version is long gone.

Love Sophie. I hope the background singers get some credit. They are usually only 20 feet from stardom.
More volume for the background singers is required to hit the full "wall of sound". Phil Spector needs to remaster this.
Ryan256 I wonder what the Christmas concerts are like at the prison he's in...prison concert, produced by phil spector...lol

What a voice she has.
I don't know when this was, but she's slightly older than I. I'm not 44 yet. That high note hit me right in the frickin spine...
1:38 This is Eddie Stevens from Moloko !! :) Great great Keyboardist
This was performed on Pinkpop 2002 in Landgraaf (NL). I was there, but missed this one...
This is a big band..alongside Goldfrapp Porcupine Tree and Emily Haines in my little opinion...great tune
The amazing Sophie Barker on vocals.
This is my next vocaland drum cover. Only 238 minutes left to upload, damned HD :)
Btw, she's NOT Auto-tuned!! :)
Love it....that's all I can say.
