Thanks for the video, Dave !!! 👍❤️🙂
Thanks again for your update.
Great comparison Dave. Thanks!
Great review Dave.
Nice that the Palisade is finally hitting the used market. I will definitely have it on my list when I’m ready. I am curious what you’ll be listing it for.
I have had a 2023 Palisade Calligraphy. The highest trim they had in your video was the limited. I have had a equinox and it was nice however, I love my 2024 Palisade. It is awesome to drive very smooth and it has on demand seat massager and lots of room. There will be a new body style in 2025/6. As always great video
When these palisades came out they were so hot. Everyone rushed to build something like it, they were impossible to find one where I live in Canada. They are just starting to show up on the used market. Try and find a Kia version it’s impossible in western Canada.
Dave B 👍🏻💯🇺🇸 always great information ℹ️
Hyundai doesn't tier Hyundai and Kia like GM does their brands. Hyundai and Kia are equals and direct competitors with Genesis being the top tier.
Got it 🤙 Thanks
I agree! Hyundai focuses on luxury where Kia focuses on Sporty and rugged vehicles. Although both brands have luxury and sporty options
I thought you were saying “Palisades” and not “Palisade”. It’s singular. Not plural. lol. I love your videos.
Great video
We got a 2022 trailblazer in on trade today it actually drives nice for what it is. we don't get many chevys traded in so it was my first time seeing one of those since they came out
Just got my first Traverse 2023. was my dream car
Congrats!
Should I wait for the 2024 traverse way more bang for your buck
yes@@Maxwell1989
100 percent agree horizontal screens are the way to go. Vertical just feel like im messing with an ipad when im driving.
Love the interior of this Palisade. Great review but I like my ‘23 Explorer better. If you were closer to me here in upstate NY I might consider a Traverse.
Curious how the MSRP compares between the two vehicles back in 2020.
Very niece video. Right now my wife drives a 2020 High Country Traverse. She loves her Traverse. We are planning to trade up to the 2024 Traverse or 2024 Tahoe. Thanks for all the information.
This is a very nice car. Will you sell it in your shop or going to auction? This is low milage. That buyer that bought your other car has a nice car.
We will be retailing it at our location.
You keep calling it “Palisades”…. Having spent time in NJ near GW, I get it. It is a Hyundai Palisade, no “s” on the end. 😂
Exactly!! Hahaha
my only complaint about Chevrolet is after owning multiple ones is the day they start building motors that does not leak oil after a few years I’ll come back until then I’ll watch from the sideline..
Waiting patiently for the 2024 traverse.. 🕑
Palisade is an excellent vehicle with a great warranty if bought new. The 10yr100k powertrain warranty is only for the first owner unless you buy a certified pre owned. But still the standard 5yr 60k is amazing.. Extended service contract 10yr 120k b2b can be bought for around $1500 as long as vehicle is under 1500 miles and 1 year...
The interior on the Hyundai is nice. But, I think the 2024 Traverse will blow it out of the water. I saw a video of the new Equinox coming out as well. Chevy is definitely moving on up.
Hyundai and Kia win the the warranty department, with a 5/60 & 10/100 when buying new.
Most other brands are 3/36 & 5/60, so they can sell you additional warranties.
You mentioning the Traverse fuel economy rating made me think about the 2008-2009 CARS/ Cash for clunkers program. The new Traverse and several other 3 row vehicles would have been ineligible for the rebate program do to much improved mpgs for the new cars. The older SUVs were only rated at 15-16mpg, the new ones are in the 20s and they now have more power, more room and are more comfortable to boot!
Kia Telluride is the same as the Hyundai Pallisade, both full size 7 passenger SUV
Hey Dave, although you probably won’t get one in as a used vehicle for some time, why don’t you compare the Traverse to something like the Grand Highlander. GH is a 3 inches shorter in size, but offers nearly three same passenger and cargo figures as the Traverse old/new. A unique video I would say but so far it’s something no one has really done.
that’s my biggest issue with a lot of foreign cars is they are built for a much smaller frame adult. With Hyundai being a South Korean manufacturer, I guess they assumed most adults are 5'9" or shorter.
Dave now answer a question for me now tell GM or REP. TO PUT THE SPEEDOMITOR BACK ON THE RIGHTSIDE OF THE DASH I HATE IT ON THE LEFT SIDE GERMAN ASIAN WAY😢😮😢
One thing you didn’t mention was the Price. I got myself a 24 Palisade SEL with leather, a power trunk, and every safety feature including an amazing Adaptive Cruise for 43K MSRP (Leasing it at $500 monthly in NJ) The Traverse with similar features is a 49K Truck and was leasing at $675 range but I remember correctly.
If you don’t need to utilize the 3rd row for adults the Palisade is the clear choice.
Which dealer did you go to? I am looking for a Palisade for my wife
Someone told me my k5 interior is as nice as his 3 series. Wasn't quite sure if I believe that tho
Hyundai and Kia in general have gotten ALOT better in the last 4-5 years. The k5 is a very nice car!
The 24 Palisade hasn’t changed much they updated it for the 2023 got a whole need end and there were slight changes to the rear end as well as the dash and they added heated seats to the 3rd for the calligraphy the Telluride got a bigger update for 2023 over the Palisade
A four inch person LMAO 😂😂
Traverse has GM 3.6L with timing chain issues. If you are keeping it for a long time you don't want that motor. For leasing I guess it doesn't matter.
They don’t have timing chain issues anymore that issue was fixed a few years ago, 2016 or 2017 I believe
@@makeshiftlake3519was fixed in 2014 even I think
The Palisade is flag ship for Hyundai, as is Telluride for Kia. For Chevy Traverse is like third best SUV on Chevy lineup and behind Silverados and Vettes and Big SUV as far as money makers. That should tell you that Hyundai puts so much more effort amd content in Palisade. Palisade easy victory.
Late night Monday post!
At least with the Chevy you dont have to worry about it catching on fire. Haha.
Dave volunteered to be the Seat Test Dummy!
What did the customer get for this vehicle as a trade-in how much?
Dave can't disclose that information.
I recently sold a 2007 Hyundai that I drove for 17 years. I would gladly buy another but from what I understand the quality is not all that good.
I’ll take a Hyundai Palisade over the traverse anytime. 10 year warranty and a more stylish vehicle.
I’m hoping to buy a Chevrolet soon, but not sure what model I will purchase.
By the way Dave awesome video as always. 😊
"Our New Traverse will pass this" - I would hope so......
Truth be told, Chevy is not a leader, in any way, for interior design. Pick a model. HD trucks with the same interior from 14-23 while every competitor moved ahead. Traverse now attempting to catch up for 24 vs 20 Hyundai. Yet Hyundai, is about to refresh the palisade in 25. Let’s not even compare the warranty. The list goes on. Was a diehard GM guy for decades. The cost cutting while driving MSRP higher and higher is nuts. Sure, trade offs are with all brands. However, every class GM competes in there are multiple alternatives offering much more value for less. They don’t have any class leading products. Not one…….Hope GM finds their way eventually.
Kia Telluride - Chevy Traverse
Hyundai Palisade- GMC Acadia
Genesis GV80- Buick Enclave
Hope this helps
IO would taker a Toyota Grand Highlander over these two.
Main issue is everyone thought of that and not its really hard to get one with dealer mark ups
Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade are sister and brother
Can we consider being a car salesman as a career 😮
Surely
Thx 😊 appreciate your feedback
It's a Hyundai. I wouldn't even consider buying or looking at one of them no matter how good it looks .IWould take a gm product over them anyday even though I am not a Gm fan
I believe its Genesis>Hyundai>Kia
Hyundai and Kia are equal
Dave hoe does Hyundai give you Front Ventilated Seats along with 2nd Row Seat. Chevy Tahoe 2024 doesn't give you Ventilated
Seats For Front Row or 2nd Row Seats? Yes you get Front Row only on a Tahoe Premier or High Country. This is my biggest Complaint from Chevy!! Dave do you agree?
Mike From Raining California
That Hyundai competes against the Cadillac. Not Chevrolet. Not Buick. But Cadillac. And that hitch is aftermarket. Probably from U-Haul. The factory hitch is more integrated. But the Chevrolet is a much better value. More reliable. And more family friendly. I don’t think they compete against each other at all.a lower end Hyundai we compete against Buick.
Kia has far better warranty. Not that I'm a fan of Hyundai/Kia but it's worth mentioning.
a better warranty, which a buyer would NEED due to all of the recalls they will enjoy with a Hyundai or Kia vehicle.
Palisade, not Palisades
👍 Didn't even realize I was making it a plural..lol. We have a Palisades here in NJ, that's probably why
No problem, I enjoy your channel
Hyundai has a much better warranty 5 yr 60k Vs 3 yr 36K
I guess you will never get hired at Hyundai.
Kia, Chevrolet 😮Hyundai GMC Genisis a Cadillac
Palisade. Not Palisades lol.
Ooops.. lol. Thanks 👍
@DaveBsellsChevy still liked the review
Also this is the worst reliable vehicle of them all I take a Highlander or pilot over a couple inches of leg room just saying
Kia is the higher level over the Hyundai
Kia is higher than a Hyundai
Haha chevrolet is a piss car,
That Hyundai is a frumpmobile compared to the Traverse. I’d even prefer a badly used 1979 Yugo to that ugly Hyundai, for that matter.
Yes, it is ugly
BOTH ARE 100% JUNK
🙄
They both suck in reliability best way to lose money, buy instead a Toyota or Honda even Nissan is better
Not Nissan, their transmissions explode after 20k miles
@williaml.8560 what dealer did you go to. I am looking for a Palisade for my wife.
I have this Palisade at Schumacher Chevrolet of Livingston
