The history of the "Ciudad Nueva" neighborhood dates back to the last quarter of the 19th century and
It originates when the city experienced changes in its urban structure. Between 1871 and 1882, the city increased its population from 6,000 inhabitants to 14,072, pushing the intramural area to the limit of its capacity.
