Hey Cory! Obligatory comment with tips on the game here: also, glad to see you're playing this! You're on the path of a LOT of thrill and fun moments, and i PROMISE not to spoil anything for you :)))
For the tips: #1 The pink cube janitor guy you rescued on the first level is called Gerome, and you NEED him in order to open these doors (that you accidentally found and unlocked) that will lead to that level's secret treasure. Now, EVERY SINGLE LEVEL has a hidden treasure within it, and they're all fun to discover and find for yourself!
Now, there isnt a bad ending for not finding all the secret treasure, but its entirely up to you if you want to hunt them all down or not. Nonetheless, you'll have a lot of fun finding Gerome and the treasures if you decide to go for them!
Tip #2: The three floating pink eye things that you see before entering a stage indicate the level's secret stages that you can find as well! Each level has three secrets, and they're pretty easy to find if you look hard enough at your surroundings. They're often indicated by eye drawings on walls, and you access those secrets through an eye that you can enter once you find it.
Tip #3: The controls are pretty smooth and satisfying to master, so it is encouraged to do that if you want to have a very nice experience running through enemies or hitting sick "speedrunning" tricks!
And also, if you're feeling like a pro, try John Gutter (the 1st level) again. There is an S rank that you can achieve by:
- Getting all the toppins
- Getting the 3 secrets in the level
- Finding Gerome and the treasure room
Oh, and also! **you gotta run through the level again**. How? Through the Lap 2 portal that you can find in a hidden room usually near the entrance of the level! (You actually accidentally found it when you did the level in the video).
There is also the fabled **P rank**... but i wont tell you how to get it, you gotta find for yourself ;)
