@@HalfAsleepChris I'm not being a know-all, but you could have done the rotoscoping a lot easier in Photoshop, Drop the scans, set to multiply, on to one shot of the cover - bingo 24 stills, no masking in FCP. You can output to a .mov or .mp4 straight from PS for bringing into your workflow.

I would have liked to have done more of those long payoffs (I always find them delightful) but couldn't plan that far ahead in other places. We're currently on different sides of the world with full on jobs. We have certainly discussed doing a reunion, but I'm not sure when that might be. I know that's not a satisfying answer but we defiantly would like to if we can make it work 😊

I first seen your Golden Gate Bridge video on reddit a couple of days, you gifted me silver because it was my cake day (Thankyou for that!). I love your video editing style and can’t wait to see more in the future!
Just for next time you do an animation like the spinning globe; Instead of printing all the photos of the real life globe, put them into Photoshop and make a new layer where you can draw on top of it (either with a mouse or a drawing pad). Then delete the picture of the globe underneath the layer you drew on (and the white background if it also appears under 'layers') and then export your sketch as a png file. Repeat with all the photos of the real life globe. Then you can put all your png files/sketches on the picture of your book without having to cut around the corners or anything because there is no background for your sketch :) And you don't have to print anything and you save some paper :D

cats don't usually blink with both of their eyes unless they are very happy and feel safe, but even then, they do it slowly. I don't know if you already know this, and it just looks goofy in stop motion, but I thought I would mention it incase you didn't.
