This is my favorite song by Dimash on the Signer 2017! Even if I didn't understood the lyrics, he touched me deeply and brought tears to my eyes with his interpretation! Dimash didn't speak or understand Chinese/Mandarin, and was still able to learn the song phonetically in only one week at the time of that performance.

I understand that contestants are given just one week ahead the theme of the next episode. It’s really a great achievement, to put it mildly.
4:30. The look on other contestant’s face of acceptance, approval, and amazement is heart warming. Dimash learned this Chinese song in only a week. One of my favorite songs of his. His songs bring me to tears. I will be spending a while in Mayo hospital soon and I know that I will be enjoying this young mans music 24/7. And the docs and nurses will get a musical education whether they want to or not. Bless this kid. He’s my saving grace.

Thanks for the review and detailed analysis. On top of the technical difficulties, this was the first attempt Dimash sung in Mandarin. Being a Kazakh, he didn’t speak any Mandarin and every word he has sung was learnt by heart but still managed to deliver all the emotions. Dimash is such a genius. Looking forward to your next review.

This was the first song I ever heard by Dimash and after that slow vibrato @2:22 I had to stop and play it over and over again for about 20 times. I didnt even realize his range at the time but I understood his talent within those 5 seconds. Amazing. Amazing.

Like he uses his voice then follows with falsetto like in 3:11 and he does not do it all the time but just whenever he wants. Otherwise Dimash can go very very high. He has videos where he went to E7 and G7 not talking about that insane sound he made in one of the concert, people call it D8, not sure what it is since no such key in the piano lol
I personally think this is his best song and deserves to be a radio single. What makes his singing so thrilling is how he is able to utilize his entire range to great effect. This song is more subdued and romantic starting with the smooth sentimentality of the mezzo soprano range and then moving into his dramatic dark tenor range and finally into the every more dramatic Soprano tessitura. All very seamless, full, controlled yet natural and organic sounding. This is a song l won't tire of because this one has soul
