  • for batch 2017-2019 of M.E. production,LDRP-ITR, Mr. Hardik , Mr. Yagnik and Mr.Arpan have starte working with Prof.K.H.Bhavsar, on date 19/11/2018 we have attempted friction stir spot welding for their basic understanding, for this a formal training of tooling and machine setup had been organised at LDRP-ITR.
    the out come of the trainin is compiled here. further testing and investigations are planned. here you ar eable to see an experimental trial of Friction stir spot welding of AA6061. thickness 4 mm.

    How do we calculate for a given material and welding parameters? say 6061, 3 mm thickness, 1000rpm rotational speed

    What is the plunge time, rotational speed you used.

      It depends on which material and tool is used as well othwr parameters.
