Thanks for posting. Such good memories of this devastatingly...I was going to say underrated, but now I see that's your screen name and that's what you do, so even more thanks.
The fact the world at large didn't get the Theart Throbs just reinforces what an awful place the world really is. ;) If you love this stuff look east to Japan and Band-Maid, Lonesome_Blue and heavier options like Nemophila. Your musical spirit will be re-awakened!
Great song. A track like this would make my top 10 easily. The album "Jubilee Twist" is a good listen. There's another fine track on it called "Gone", a slow type of ballad which I also love.
this group was very good for sure and i think they did not gain what they deserved. anyway they were palying wonderfull pop with catchy songs and all their albums were very good. their first was a masterpiece
No one pointed out that Rose and Rachel are both Pete de Freitas' sisters.... Nor, on a saucier note, the origin of the phrase "Cleopatra Grip", which is a reference to the "tight" grip that Cleopatra had on Marc Antony's, ummmm.... errrrr....second in command? (Don't be so shocked. Heart Throbs also released an l.p. entitled "Vertical Smile") I don't think that Rose and Rachel (most pieces of information spell her name this way, without the 'a') were perverted or trying to be shocking, I think they were just strong women in an obviously male-dominated industry. Remember, this was the early 90's, a time when Alex James from Blur tried biting Miki Berenyi's ass in a nightclub - and everyone thought it was funny. So I think the de Freitas sisters were just saying it goes both ways. Anyone's thoughts?
Perhaps THE most under rated band in music history.
I love and miss this band. Their first CD was one of the first CDs I ever bought way back when it came out. I bought two CDs on that day.
Played on 120 Minutes...love it.
So lovely
Ah this takes me back. I love finding a lost gem.
Thanks for posting this, been looking for it for many, many years..

I’ve never seen this before but, knowing the song, it’s exactly what I imagined.
instant classic
I've loved this band since 1990 I think :)

wore this cd out...such a classic...sigh
Need a copy?
@@allanmoger1838 Allan!, thank you but i converted my cd to mp3s so have them forever
Good guitar here. White women making alternative rock were not getting any airplay by 1990 only gross dance hags were.
But then they came back with a vengeance soon after - Echobelly, Elastica and Sleeper. Heart Throbs were just a couple of years too early...
