@@MoebiusX9 you do have to understand you have to separate what the unit does and what the ring will do because every emblem unit is going to have an inheritable skill too
also the rings have exclusively given things that are already in the game so anything new is probably not in the cards

I felt so strong when Ninja Camilla was around because my team perfectly countered her, it felt good to be ahead of the countermeta for once instead of trying to catch up. Phila got me through a lot of hard fights in book 7, even tanking hits from Duo Chrom and Brave Gullveig
At least Celica shows you her reach/threat range. The thing that I hate about the game, is the aether raid defence teams that flip flop over each other and then warp 3+ units across the map (cav line etc). And the game doesn't actually show you their real effective threat range. I just run triple galeforce teams to stomp all over that nonsense turn 1 now though.
Can't wait for Emblem Byleth to give a second action literally everyone on the map
I always need to double check every unit in arena because of the Celica effect.
Can't wait for this year's AHR to be all 12 Emblems, and only half of them are freaking stupid.
I'm kind of sad that Marth aged so poorly already, but when Ike and Celica get powercrept by Byleth, Sigurd, or whoever else you all can think of, it will be genuinely terrifying.

If there is something that is made clear from now on, it is that if an emblem unit arrives, it means that 1 or 2 skills will arrive that will be broken for months, until at least the powercreep does something (which in itself, arrives but being much more broken than the emblem unit)
L!Chrom was the first time a unit made me hate the game, not covered here is the fact that he would delete 6ATK on top of deleting his own debuffs so the options you had to kill him were really little. Outside of Rinkah who effectively countered him no matter what he'd do, L!Chrom was so insanely hard to take down at times due to the variety of build he could run(in AA, which was WAY worse at the time needing 7 wins, not 5 and you couldn't lose a SINGLE one) that sometimes you'd just run out of options to kill him.
The -6ATK genuinely made Lewyn miss kills for instance especially if he went a Lull, Lull ATK/SPD + a ATK/SPD A slot made him hard to double cuz you couldn't debuff him, you couldn't buff against him anymore and he'd be +10 cuz high scoring while you were using +0 units.
Genuinely horrible times. He's nowhere near as bad now since we have much strongers tool to deal with him, but man if there's anyone that broke my will to do AA to the point I legitimately don't try ever anymore, it's him. More or less killed the fun of the game for me, it was that horrid.
I think the Celica ring is annoying but you can over your unit on a tile and see the danger zone move as you do which goes a long way to help alleviate the issue. For the most part you can simply just play well and nothing horrible will happen to you, it's not a case of being screwed no matter what happen which L!Chrom did (especially considering you were forced to have slow ass, annoying armored units with a unit that was already an absolute nightmare to deal with...that just so happened to have armor killer.)

The problem when the enemy arena team has tools like the emblem Celica ring is that the IA doesn't care if the unit it's sending to attack is going to get killed the next turn while us have to worry about having everyone alive for max score (or 3 units if the bonus Legendary unit is active.). So no, i wouldn't call it being a hypocrite.

arena really is hell thanks to celica. how in the world are you supposed to beat units that score 160, ähm i mean 210 thanks to duo button thank you duo button, that warp through the entire map oneshot any unit you could possibly have regardless of the skills you have and probably are almost invincible to f2p units even when you get the best possible opportunity to play phase attack with all units in range

Honestly with how much people hyped up Celica and her effect, there's a notable restriction in that it cant go on the opposite side of an enemy. If her or engaged partner cant move to the closest space to an enemy they cant move to their range.
Which depending on the map and enemies can limit the warp effect a fair bit.
But honestly I love they made her pretty stupid and busted, I live for this crazy stuff. Cant wait to see the shenanigans Sigurd gets, or wtf they do for Lyn and Veronica
Arena sucks so fucking bad now I hate it so much bro
I feel Armours as a whole fell into that category somewhere between Year 1 and 2. They had monopoly over crazy skills that either allowed them to block follow ups and double themselves (i.e Bullshit Fighter and Vengeful Fighter). They were also used all the time for the sole purpose of also scoring high in Arena.
I wish feh actually was just a bite sized version of the mainline games because none of them are as complicated as feh wants to be

Then suddenly Brave Lyn came into the game and it all went downhill from there. Abuse meta after abuse meta.
You bring up the fact that anyone can take advantage of the broken stuff and just pull it for themsevles. But, my guy, this is a gacha game. Do you realize that sometimes, no we can't? It's literally up to chance whether or not we get a character sometimes. On top of that, not all of us can spend tons of money to try and guarentee it.
opening feh when you're broke can be summed up with "Let's go gambling!!" with 13 orbs

I have to agree. Yuri and FEdelgard ended any attempt I made to play arena in any capacity other than going 5x for a free pull.
Yuri's pretty easy to tank though, and if you're out of range he will always just have fun replacing and falling back. It can make it annoying to bait a specific unit though, I admit.

Just a reflection on how previous meta units/maps/teams were back in the day in comparison to where we are now with Emblem effects.
I love Emblem Celica too, but her Emblem effect has certainly made facing any unit Engaged more terrifying.
what drives me crazy about celica isn't even her in particular, its her PLUS whatever person shes engaged with. So now you have to deal with two broken warps unless you have someone to block it. Arena has been so cringe

I think it's disingenuous to say "The player isn't at fault".

We act like this is a "Hate the game not the player" kinda deal but the players are all crooked selfish abusers who ruin the game over a measly 500 defense win feathers. Nobody is a hero here OR a good person when they consciously abuse the most overpowered things to trample on others. This held true for Reposition Reinhardts, this held true for Brave Lyn abusers, Surtr abusers, Hegemon abusers, ALL of them.
How hard is it for someone to simply not play into this abuse fantasy and not run a character that is universally hated? "But the game gives me the option to" is a moral cop out. You are fully responsible for your choices. If you support IntSys powercreeping the Bajesus out of the game by deploying all those broken units in competitive environments you add to the problem, you're not absolved of responsibility all of a sudden.

Yeah, Emblem Celica was my tipping point for leaving FEH. I was getting absolutely sick and tired of seeing +10 Duo!Gullvieg’s running around with engaged Emblem Celica and ruining my bloodline (in-game).

I hate this meta of teleporting all over the map or random movement gains or whatever. The most unfun meta yet honestly, at least E!Ike can be taken down. This is just garbage.
