Could someone please explain the concept of spiritual growth? Why do we need to suffer in order to grow? Why can't we be in a constant state of happiness and joy?
We don't need to suffer there are positive ways to grow. Having mercy, giving charity etc. But there is karma and I think our wise higher selves want there to be balance. Also pain makes us appreciate the joy. But I agree there is some levels of agony on this earth I just think that's not worth it. But the soul chooses it. Sometimes it's to teach a soul family member a lesson.

We each agree to come here, usually multiple times, in order that Our Creator can "experience" itself through us. We each play different roles in our incarnations and in the long run there are no negative ramifications regardless how awful we may have acted in any particular incarnation. In our essence, we are all perfect sparks from The Light and to The Light we will return. There is no Hell and no Satan. The hardest part for most of us is when we depart the physical, we undergo a "Life Review" where we review every moment of our most recent incarnation not only from our perspective but also from the perspective of all the other humans with whom we interacted.
