Watching the rain fall listening to Daisy Jane and reliving my youth. Oh for those happy carefree days I'd love to live once more. At least I can say I lived them once. Once just wasn't enough. We live in a crazy world with times so uncertain and foreign to me. I'd love to go back. I would stay there and not give even a thought to coming back to the here and now.
I agree, 16... In 76. My first car. 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix. Worked, after school. Still close to friends for over 40 years. Didn't have to worry about being shot. Love to go back.
@@williamflack5767 I was 16 in 73 too. My first car a Pontiac Aster. Those were such great days. We never could have imagined what our country would be like in 45 years-or that our generation was the last to know the original America. 😢🇺🇸😢
Several years ago I drove thru my old neighborhood and it's practically unrecognizable. The church my mother and daddy and I attended for the first 17 years of my life was demolished to make way for parking and shopping. Those places were not just part of my childhood but also part of me. I miss all of it.

Deep song....brings tears to my eyes. Dedicated it to my girlfriend now of about 3 years while we were going through some problems. Song also takes me back when it was released and now I realize how valuable youth was. Youth is wasted on the young.
Remember being a kid in the 80's, my dad cranking America's Greatest Hits while he worked in the garage and hearing Daisy Jane - the GREAT old days, so sad they're gone
Hell yeah!! My mom used to always play their greatest hits cd while cleaning the house on weekends. Those were the days! Always loved hearing every track when she would play it. Love them even more now that I appreciate the music and the memories. Found the greatest hits album on vinyl a while back. One of my all time favorite finds. Will always remind me of my mom.

Spring/Summer 1975 Listening to this simple beautiful song on AM radio on the way to work at the job I'd retire from 33 plus years later, had just broken up with my first love so this song invoked tears that would eventually heal the heart as I reveled in my youth. Now still evokes tears not of heartbreak but of that lost youth which I then took for granted but now cherish. I was older then I'm younger now.

"Daisy I think I'm sane, and I guess you're really to blame". Kudos to that thought, how poor men have been turned inside out by their own Daisy in a relationship, only to thankfully realize that it's Daisy doing all the 'stinkin' and not them. Excellent lyric that many can relate to.

Thank you. Beautifully presented through your own art. My compliments.
465 peeps don’t know what real music is ! .. sad
I really like this video. The photography is outstanding and it is as beauthiful as the song makes it. Thank you for doing this.
Love this old sweet song, I named my kitten DaisyJane because of it. I sing it to her with slightly different lyrics:
"Do you really love me? I. think you do
Like the stars above me, I know you do,
Cuz you're my DaisyJane,,,"

So beautiful wow! Very nice music.
What a simple, yet truly beautiful and profound song.
This song reminds me of my tenure at Memphis Millington naval base "A" school ......i remember the few mysterious rolling hills in the base and the memories
it was in 2011 when i watched America's concert. I really enjoyed it...can't forget it.. Please come to Manila once again.
Beautiful song and video. Thanks for putting the lyrics in, too -- always appreciated.
i'm a janet jackson fan and i had to check this song out. this is BEAUTIFUL! wow! i really like this song.
I love all the songs they have made.I like to thank the person or persons who did such a nice job on the video and for picking one of my favorit songs:-)
These guys have written a ton of beautiful melodies.
A honest love song...The lines...I guess I'm sane and happy because I see you are to blame. Not exact wording...but not many love or love gone bad songs, make it so pretty to blame the one they are heart sick over. America is one of the best.
Song is perfect for fall weather
Yes! It does have that Autumn or even Spring like feel to it.
But it really is a pretty song, too bad I was a baby at the time lol
one of the prettiest songs ever..my fav. America song....sad to hear of Dan Peek..you know you're gettin on in years when your contempories start passing on...sad
