Btw camodo, when you activate bow thrusters, those don’t help the speed of the ship, they just help the ship dock ,like side to side so you don’t have to maneuver it a lot and twist and turn it

The flaps are there to increase drag which helps the plane to lift off and land, they are NOT brakes. From now on you should probably set flaps to half before takeoff and full before landing. Also, before landing, make sure the plane is slow enough that it will descend automatically, and when a couple of metres of the ground, lift the nose of the plane upwards then slowly bring it down after the back wheels touch the ground.

The flaps on an aircraft is not airbrakes and is used on takeoffs and landings to fly and take off at a lower speeds.

you were using the flaps on the max what made them act like airbrake you should have put the flaps somewhere in mid value to give you more lift. if it's a lever and not a switch is because it's supposed to be used to "set a custom value" not to be always used to the extreme

On the second try with the plane the flaps were down.
So flaps is for helping to lift or slowing down the aircraft, for real planes you will use flaps 10- Anything, flaps 20 Take off, Flaps 30 Landing.
