been performing magic for many years and this is still my absolute favourite magic act of all time. I watch this twice a year at least and it constantly inspires me to become better
Supernatural skills!! I feel pity for people who "knows how he did it". His juggling alone is already something to be admired. There's a HUGE difference between magic and trick. Magic is about skill, stage presence, emotions, entertainment. Anybody can do tricks, but only a talented magician can manifest illusions in the form of ART,
He looks so young all clean shaven :) I LOVE this act. Yes, we can all figure out how it's done, but it's his craftmanship and skill that make him stand out. Bravo, Yann! Now everybody hush about how it's done and just enjoy :p
Seriously!!! people act like how its possible detracts from the performance. A handful of people alive could convincingly pull off even 1 or the MANY switches here. It's so seamless! Such Immense skill and talent.
A modern Chaplin , genius ! Talented clowning meets outstanding slights ! The most original cups/balls act I've ever seen . Brings true wonder and comedy to an ancient classic .
Another man tormented by his balls... Seriously though, this was a perfect act. I love when magic is more than just a trick. You've got mood, character, story... Loved it!
While this was great, he has done better. Also, for those trying to crack the tricks, here's a tip: Never pay attention to the thing he's trying to bring attention to (moving the teapot scene, for example). Always check the free hand.
I don't think most laymen think like that. I appreciate his incredible skill and what it must have taken to achieve it but most laymen seem to be like "ha, I beat the magician I know how it works."
@@Magic-bf8gz The problem isn't for the sake of the magician who has invested a lot of time and sometimes money into developing a routine. That is unfortunate in and of itself. The real issue is that trying to make yourself look cool by divulging a secret, you ruin the experience of wonder and "magic" for the spectator. Really, this then appears to so many as simply an ego thing for your own arrogant moment. Don't ruin it for others, let them experience it and let them try to figure it out on their own. It is more fun for everyone that way.
1) If a performer ever deserved an standing ovation... 2) Since when does the sound of laughter and gasps of astonishment need authorization by all copyright holders!?
I'm starting to see a flaw in the approach we take to magic. Every act is inherently cheesy when the premise is "I'll make you believe this shit". Magic is a performance, but the general public and most magicians themselves treat it as a "trick", a magic "trick", and illusion - essentially, magic has adopted this weird reputation for being associated with unsavory people. People who are trying to convince us they're special or people who distract us while they take our watches...or worst yet, people who make us feel stupid with their reality defying trickery. But magic is like a dance. Essentially, go into absolutely-without-a-doubt EVERY SINGLE magic act absolutely-without-a-doubt KNOWING that it isn't real magic, and you may start to see the performance. Catching tricks becomes part of the show, seeing how thoughtfully it was timed or how ingenious the idea was is a treat in its own right...if the performer is good. I do agree that a lot of magicians are just trying to fuck your mind, and if that's their only angle and you catch them, I suppose they asked for a challenge and failed it. But stuff like this, by Yann Frisch, is a scene in its own right.
même si c'est juste une partie de son numéro... c' est le meilleur ! even if it is a part of his act , he is the best ! il faut le voir en vrai , u must see him in live c'est tres, it is really different !
He's really a skilled magician, the people saying his switches and lapping is obvious are trying to seem as though they are knowledgeable about magic aren't being fooled. The whole point of magic isn't to fool the audience and/or spectators its to cause them to feel excited mystified or possibly just to have a good time. Also ummmmm he won, obviously the judges dont care about how obvious it was, he performed a routine that was completely original and played the part skillfully and he won.
Actually, Yann does perform the whole act without ANY music at all. Not even the one you might think was the original. This is a TOTAL silent act, where you can hear a needle drop. So do yourself a favour and turn off the sound completely and enjoy. Btw, the act is much longer already with much more details, we will see the full act at FISM this year and I believe it will be a blast. Just saw his act three days ago live in Spain.
@juanaraujo00 Aaah... :D
When Baremboin plays the 3rd movement of Moonlight Sonata, I can clearly see his fingers pressing the piano keys. And, if I couldn't, I can still read the sheet music. Do I know how he does it? Yeah. Can I do that? Hell no. Is he a freaking genius? Sure.
i saw almost each time when he was getting those balls and changing the can with the one in the first act nice but i also noticed that in this video he's a bit younger anw good performance
I love his act! Hes so fast. I would like to know the artist performing the song however. I searched Romeo is bleeding and got the Tom Waitt version, but its not the same.
He looks really different without the beard. Less disgruntled. The beard performances were great, because it looked like his soul broke a little bit more each time the red ball popped back up.
Hahah ! He stopped banging his head on the table ^^ He used to do better, I really like when he bangs his head ! And I prefer him with beard and moustache !
as a magician, I watch so many things that Criss Angel puts out, & sadly, my mind is tuned to spot certain moves, and thus i follow every step of the trick, & they never get me, & that sucks. the point of magic is to not find out how its done, and to marvel at the act. "a magician is an actor playing a magician". so when I first saw this act, (different video) I was blown away cause I couldn't keep up. in fact I still watch this act, and intentionally look the wrong way, cause its so much cooler

Exactly.

absolutely amazing
He looks cooler with his beard
Congratulations to Yann Frisch for winning FISM Blackpool 2012! Our new world champion in close up magic.
A modern Chaplin , genius ! Talented clowning meets outstanding slights ! The most original cups/balls act I've ever seen . Brings true wonder and comedy to an ancient classic .
I can watch this all day. Such clever use of sleight of hand
The song is "Romeo is bleeding" by Tom Waits
Another man tormented by his balls...
Seriously though, this was a perfect act. I love when magic is more than just a trick. You've got mood, character, story... Loved it!
that is simply AMAZING! Wow!
He earned It :)
FISM 2012 Grand Prix Champion - close up magic
He got the Oscar. FISM grand Prix winner Blackpool 2012. Well deserved.
It's part of the act, the unpredictability is what makes this intriguing to watch.
my favorite act ive ever seen.
WONDERFUL! What a great talent. Loved it!
Bravo MR !!! J suis fan !
Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
absolument génial!!!
you are fantastic
Tecnique fool the odience, but the drama give them the power for the applause.
Slight of hand need not hold up to repeated recorded viewing, this is an ace act!
I've seen this number without music... much more enjoyable without, but anyhow... he's amazing. Nice character!
This guy is amazing
It is the same magician. This was filmed 2- 3 years ago. Where as the current video of Yann was filmed sometime in 2012
this is much better than the original video of this
magnifique
While this was great, he has done better.
Also, for those trying to crack the tricks, here's a tip: Never pay attention to the thing he's trying to bring attention to (moving the teapot scene, for example). Always check the free hand.
Please don't tell people how to figure out magic.
Magic20151 This magic is so great because even you crack it, you still feel so amazed.
I don't think most laymen think like that. I appreciate his incredible skill and what it must have taken to achieve it but most laymen seem to be like "ha, I beat the magician I know how it works."

Frank Elliott that’s pretty much exactly what I said, in much greater detail.
He won FISM a few days ago... :)
I also thought he was great when a saw his performance a long time ago...I think he deserves it... :)
Chaplin is smiling right now.
Beautiful
Very nicely done ✅ 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
good things about this video:
first: Tom Waits song
second:the performance
Great !
Id love to watch this with audio
Sensacional!
1) If a performer ever deserved an standing ovation...
2) Since when does the sound of laughter and gasps of astonishment need authorization by all copyright holders!?

Shin
I am a magician and I live in France.
I like your style of magic . when go you in France for a conference or other one...
WIN.
even if it is a part of his act , he is the best !
il faut le voir en vrai , u must see him in live
c'est tres, it is really different !
the water out of the cup was a bit too obvious though

This got ruined by all the different camera angles.
melancholic :)

ya sure if ya saw him in real life u will pause and replay still amazing
You beat me to the comment.
The bearded look really suited this routine. In this video, he was just too 'clean'
Sure.
People who upload Farmville videos are never winners
obviously they are tricks, you think youre touting by saying you know how its done?
the talent is that hes able to do them, he has great dexterity
this guys is AWEsome!! Reminds me of mel gibson in conspiracy theory
A phrase we will NEVER hear: "Brilliantly performed by RAMartin!" One we will hear: "RAMartin, ohhhh that doof bag, what has he ever accomplished?"
the song is Romeo is bleeding - Tom Waits
And he just got it (:
He already got it :)
Nice!
i saw almost each time when he was getting those balls and changing the can with the one in the first act nice but i also noticed that in this video he's a bit younger anw good performance
Sóooopper I like it
I love his act! Hes so fast. I would like to know the artist performing the song however. I searched Romeo is bleeding and got the Tom Waitt version, but its not the same.
0:33 - 0:34 you can see that he switch the goblet when he put it under the table, during the Teapot move to the other side
Genius
00:25 Cup is in normal state, 00:34 He swaps the cups behind the pot, 00:40 draws a cup with damage.
awesome but needs the sound or add some sound to make it better!
I too have seen him and I must agree.
It reminds me of Cardini, almost.
1:37 we could see him put it on the table with his other arm tho. except that I love the trick.
Yes this is a public forum it isn't private. So whom should get out more?
nice minecraft vids dude. love it
il est vraiment beau hehehe😂😂
Das Supertalent Halbfinale
Du bist weiter in Finale
I've always liked Lennart Green's close-up card magic, he is a master of sleight-of-hand that you might check out on UA-cam :)
penn and teller did one with clear plastic cups explaining exactly how they were doing it as they went along, its the entertainment not the trick
Wow
Wow, it's such an intense performance it takes him a couple of seconds to get him back to his normal self. 4:27
cool
Yeah Shin! Tell him! Maybe he will have a "Change of Heart" ;)
Romeo is bleeding by tom waits (blue valentine 1978)
Das Supertalent
Hallo Yann Frisch gut und weier in Halbfinale
3 Mal Ja
It's really amazing to see Magicians standing up for each other. You tell him Shin!
i love this style of slight of hand, can anyone recommend some other talented magicians to check out? I'm pretty naive to the whole scene
It doesn't available on Mobile devices. I'm disappointed.
U really try to live with that? :o woah man, respect!
I recognize the ability and theatrical creativity, but i must say i have seen better (pure) sleight of hands
briliant!!
le superb niqua
It's not Tom Waits, it's Russian group "Billy's Band"
Audio pleaseeee!!!
i'd like to see you do that.
He looks really different without the beard.
Less disgruntled.
The beard performances were great, because it looked like his soul broke a little bit more each time the red ball popped back up.
Its nice in this one to see his facial expressions. Youre right - the other looks more frazzled. Both are beyond incredible!
Hahah ! He stopped banging his head on the table ^^
He used to do better, I really like when he bangs his head !
And I prefer him with beard and moustache !

FINALLY SEE HOW HE GOT RID OF THE WATER
oh god that patter, that sexy patter
