In the state of North Carolina is being incorrectly applied period, since 1994 Structured sentencing act
State of North Carolina Department of safety prisons policy and procedures
Chapter C .1500 offender release procedure Expiration of sentence
When an offender has completed all sentences and will not be reporting to parole or post release supervision. This is commonly known as the projected release date or max out ,
Each offender that is on post release supervision
Has completed there sentence
Each offender that has a 12 month or more post release supervision,is being held against there will
They were released on there projected release date
Which completed the sentence
The rules were incorrectly applied in 1994
It has nothing to do with the first step act
It the rules of the law in general,
There are offenders who received a post release supervision violation and placed back in confinement,on a completed sentence
Look at the records
A offender with a 12 month post release supervision,and is under supervision,is being held illegally
Post release supervision is to be given
4 month before the projected release date
9 months before the projected release date
12 months before the projected release date. And
5 years before the projected release date
To complete the sentence on supervision
There are offenders in prison who were violated with a five year Post release date who were violated and sent back to prison to serve 5 years that don't exist,
Against his or her will

@@DewangJani hi my husband's case worker told him since he was so close to being released that it didn't matter. Some guys did have their date changed after they spoke to their case workers. Hope your loved one gets home soon
