Because he literary punched dazai for making fun of a dead subordinate of chuuya, chuuya respects peoples lives too much to say something to the lines of "because of some words of a dying man, he decided to leave" in my opinion i think chuuya would be pleasantly surprised by the fact dazai had actually valued a life for once.
