    I can't be the only one... nope! I can't be the only one who has ever worked their tail off on a huge PSD file in Photoshop and accidentally saved all those juicy layers into a small file when resizing it for the web.
    I know, I know, it's a workflow issue. But thank goodness for Adobe for building Workflows in Bridge 2022. This is an awesome new feature that will save me hours of time when exporting my large PSD files to JPEGs.

    Excellent. I use this function to export hundreds of developed Raws into JPGs for time lapse movie assembly. I used to use Bridge > Photoshop’s Image Processor but that tied up Photoshop for a long time and even made it difficult to use the computer for anything else while the batch export was happening. Photoshop kept popping to the front. The Bridge Workflow is much better. You can also sequence multiple exports so it produces both your Large and Small versions together.

    Thanks Blake. Although, the export presets tab in Bridge can do all the things that this workflow tab does except for the batch rename, which you'd have to run separately. But regarding the problem of accidentally overwriting the large psd file, I think that was resolved with the export function in Bridge, if not with image processor. I see this workflow tab as more of a "one stop shop" for batch rename, resize, append/replace metadata, change file type and a way to mix and match the combos to your liking and situation.

    • @f64Academy
      @f64Academy  5 місяців тому

      Is it literally twice as fast, have you timed it :) haha, I'm playing devil's advocate due to the direct nature of your comment. I see what you mean and I have many save actions. I like this because I can batch save a LOT of images very quickly in an easy to use interface. Photoshops batch saving using actions isn't the most intuitive and I've had to experiment with it quite a bit to ensure the images saved go in the right place. This makes it very simple. YEs, I agree a save action for one, maybe two images here and there is faster, but what about 10 - 100? This feature is awesome for that and I would say that it is literally 10 times faster than an action in that scenario :)

      I have sort of this problem but with most win 10 apps upon 4k monitor wakeup. I wrote it up in the Microsoft Support pages. It had to do with monitor registry settings for resolutions, a new default resolution getting written on sleep mode, then changing the window sizes upon wake-up because it was on a different resolution on sleep. I've had it return after my last win10 update. But, this might be a newer issue if it's only Bridge. My other problem has been menu font sizes with 4k monitor, guess I have just gotten used to it.

      The new export features that Adobe has been adding to Bridge, Camera Raw, and Lightroom Classic tend to be much more efficient than Photoshop save/export actions. Blake already mentioned that while actions run, they prevent you from using Photoshop. But the new exports run separately, so Photoshop is available to use. Also, Photoshop actions tend to run serially, as in one image at a time. But the new export features in Bridge, Camera Raw, and Lightroom Classic can run in parallel, processing multiple images at once by distributing them across multiple CPU cores.
