Your points are valid. Bad moderation can make or break a game. I've been on TruckersMP for years and the moderation hasn't improved at all. Not saying there aren't good mods and admins but something has to change. I'm super excited for buses to be released this year but I'm worried about the overall experience due to poor moderation. Great vid, I love what the TruckersMP team does and appreciate their hard work so I hope to see things improve in the future :) I'd also like to say it's great to hear you offering some solutions to these problems as well as mentioning them. I hope they listen!
I like to offer solutions, as they can bring about change. I've been on TruckersMP for 5 years and the moderation has never changed, but let's see what happens in the future.
@@ImmAdam I´m on TMP since a long time to, but the moderation has indeed improved, not much but there is a difference. I remember dark times when there was a giant traffic jam on the train of calais. It was going for hours and no moderator was in sight(for hours no moderator during primetime). Then people decided to solve this on there own, by advising people who has to drive and who not. Then suddenly a moderator came and saw this. The moderator kicked the people which tried to solve the traffic jam and left right after that. So the traffic jam continued for other 2 hours. I needed 8 Hours to get down from the motorway to the train! Today its more like there is simply no moderator online or they chill on ProMods at the kirkenes quarry. They kicked a lot of abusive moderators, a really big lot. Its better in my opinion that there is no moderator then abusive moderators ^^ But I kinda like the Solutions you offer like the driving license xD
@@DarkmomoDraconia yeah I agree, I've been on TMP for a while and it's improved a bit, but there's still a long way for them to go. I think driving licenses would be a great addition haha, makes it more realistic
literally told a mod to look into somebody crashing into 20 people including me. the mod told me he doesnt want to look into it because it isnt his problem lol
I'm 5 minutes into the video and I can't take you serious when your driving is garbage 5:40 you are literally tailgating the guy, so don't get surprised when you get banned for rear ending him. smh
these days its the reputation its busy you will meet many(to many) other players and that why more players drive there also rotterdam and calais were very busy before all the map expensions because the map was smaller and england was quite popular and the navagation tends to send you over parts of what is now known as the DC road so over time it gained a reputation which atracted more people which became a cycle that goes on to this day
I played 3,000km playing 3 hours a day through the maps and if I see 5 players on those runs it's a "good night" otherwise the whole map is empty part from north east germany and north france (c-d road)
Just a side note / gripe, it seems your following the truck in front of you pretty closely often I normally keep a 4-6 second barrier behind them, especially if they lagspike
He's literally the kind of driver that causes a server like this to implement harsh punishments. He is tailgating, drives into the middle of intersections and gets crashed into by coming traffic, etc.
I'm so happy they added multiplayer convoys. I can now play with friends in the game, keep the AI traffic and I don't have to deal with any of this bullshit ever again.
It's a shame to see they haven't changed in the slightest since back when the mod first released. It's not hard to manage shit like this. You make some rules, you enforce them, you try to think of your feet to fill in gaps, and you accept evidence to ban/overturn bans. It seems that everything is missing and still has been missing for years.
@@savagekingtexas_3990 Someone proposing common sense ideas is not a basis to justify absence of those efforts from the existing moderation. "Do it yourself then" is just as terrible of a response as the "don't play it then" that was mentioned in the video.
@@savagekingtexas_3990 Kekw. Trying to apply to be a part of the staff that probably has a requirement of "I don't give a shit - attitude" and "lack of soul"
I want to agree with you on some points, then I watch the video more and more. I 100% agree with you on some admins are overpowered with ego problems. On other aspects I question though. You say small accidents, but then I start to wonder. Due to the fact how many times you hit someone in the rear. After so many times, it starts becoming not an accident, but turns into questioning your driving. Your incident that you're talking about of traffic ahead and you hitting the person in front. I could see why, you don't leave any following distance to react. Even after getting banned for stuff like that in the past you still keep driving into the back of people. Then you brought up the winter mod and the ban. Saying the winter mod is broken and you shouldn't be banned, because you lost control. I question the ban. I think it could've been a warning, but the mod isn't broke. You were driving the truck/trailer over the limit for conditions and lost control, causing an accident. That's not a mod fault, that a driver fault. A mod that you chose to download and use. A mod that is not forced. You also chose to download the physics mod, which you didn't need to download or use for the winter mod. If I go drive my vehicle right now, on the snowy icy roads and lose control/wreck. What is it the worlds fault for snowing? No it's my fault for driving over the limits for said conditions.
totally agree with you there. ive never had an issue playing on mp, getting wronly banned etc. but i leave space for myself to react, and for others to manoeuvre if they need to. theres not much you can change about the way others play or the mods work, so you generally have to adapt. I’m surprised not many people see it this way..
Agreed. I adapt to the conditions (weather, turns and hills), follow the speed limit for the most part, and leave room for other trucks so i have time to react. Never had a single crash that was my doing or mistake (have been intentionally rammed by others).
In fact, you can't really leave more than 2-3 meters of space between you and the person in front of you... I mean, of course you can.. But then you'll either have someone behind you driving into you because he's inpatient as fuck, or you got 20 people behind you honking on their horns, because they don't know that sometimes having 2-3 car-lengths of space is needed to not crash into someone in front of you. This Game/Mod is full of either Trolls, or people who just play the game for the first time, without even knowing what a speed-limit means.
@@chloedev Where do you drive? In Norway people honk at you if you DON'T follow that rule, and i think it's like that pretty much anywhere you drive (that has a proper driving instruction program and a proper test to get the drivers license, not some 15 minute long test).
My friend that had around 2 hours on truckersMP was driving behind an Admin,my friend had a Trailer that was 61T heavy meaning he could not break that well + he had a pretty bad truck. He had a distance of around 50m but the admin in front breaked very hard for no real reason and my friend hit his trailer very softly (5-10km/h) He got banned for 15 days for ,,collison" he did not even deal damage to the admin...He even had the god damn ,,NEW" in his player tag yet he instantly got banned
I have been unfairly punished too much which leads me to have a ban history, this causes me to have me banned for 3 months in my next bans if this goes on which will certainly come, like only just saying retard or flying outta a corner and clipping someone because of my chassis
I think you have a lot of valid points, but you do have to take a realistic view on your driving in TruckersMP. It is a simular which is supposed to resemble real life. In real life with a 40 ton truck you would not be that close to another driver. As for the winther mod. You don't need the physics, but if you choose the physics. You have to be a lot more careful with your driving. And I do get that you play it to hang out with friends, but you do not need to go to the busy cities. specially not if you keep getting banned for it.
I'm quite new to ETS2 in general and I've never been to TMP yet, but I've seen so many videos on youtube of people sharing clips of other's bad driving while them uploading aren't so different. In this video, while he was talking about not being able to "physically stop in time", he was keeping a safe distance of max 2 meters and going over the speed limit, sometimes even doubling the limit lmao. And I don't understand why nobody says anything about it, your comment is a beam of light I thought I was going insane
how are you going to make arguments about it being meant to be a realistic game. but then TruckersMP enforces a 110km/h or 150km/h speed limit in their servers. there does not exist a European country where you are allowed to go that fast in a truck. "you have to take a realistic view when driving in truckers mp" he say's. when i realistically drive 80KM/h i get all kinds of people hurling insults at me for going so slow. even though that is me realistically playing what is indeed supposed to be a simulator. playing TruckersMP is the opposite of playing a Truck Simulator. its playing big rig racing, but with a really good texture pack.
I was in duisburg driving and minding my own buisness. It was nearly 1AM and I just had to deliver my cargo in duisburg. Well the guy behind me thought he could overtake me with 140 players stuck in a traffic jam. 10 seconds later I overtook him and he steered and crash against me causing me to crash into a truck on the opposite lane standing still. Oh there was a kind a little further back in the line who recorded it and sent it to the moderators. In the video you can see that I was overtaking yes! but you could also see that the guy steered into me causing a major crash. I was self recording and showed it to the moderators, and guess what? I got banned for 35 days for "Blocking" while the other moron did not get a ban. I recently served my ban, since that I have not played on truckersmp but on scs official convoys with friends. Playing on truckersmp since february 2016 I have been treated with 1 major ban that was not my fault at all, but I got a permanent ban that lasted for 3 years. The moderator got demoted to player then later removed from the platform - but still. 3 long years and then they saw it was not my fault.
@@TacticalRuse well yea, but in full release they announced that its up to 100 or even more, but yea I understand you. I loved driving places and some places was crowed with people everywhere and after a 2 hour drive (real life time across the map) you found some people
Ok so just started watching but I gotta say your are following WAAAY too close to that truck with the 2 heavy trailers and keep rear ending him…. About the winter mod, it says physics are optional separate from the winter look, it also says you will still be responsible, and if you drove with the physics mod for winter the same as you do in normal game then yes, absolutely you would be at fault, driving too fast for conditions or reckless driving. Idk the situation that happened to cause the one you spoke of but based on the driving in the video you follow extremely closely and more on the aggressive side it seems. All that being said, I agree with them being harsh on honest accidents and small stuff and words some no matter the situation. Traffic in Duisburg they just need a few moderators for there specifically and use their cars like in events to block and direct traffic in a way that lets traffic flow. Another alternative is modding the map to move the shop over to the T intersection, sitting it away from the road, adding a long-ish entrance/exit with 2 lane in(1 south and eastbound entrance and 1 westbound entrance)and 2 lanes out(1 for right turns and straight on, and 1 for left hand turns) and make it a collision zone. Also adding stop lights to what would become a 4 way intersection and set them on timers with only one direction green at a time for say 1 minutes each for east, west, and shop, and 30 seconds for south. They could even making left hand turn lanes for both sides of the east-west 2 lane road. Eastbound gets 1 straight and 1 for into repair shop, Westbound gets southbound turn lane, straight on, and a long right hand turn lane for the entrance to the shop that bypasses the stoplight. Its a lot of map work for them probably but it would flow waaaay better I’m sure.
The rant literally describes your gameplay in the background, pure garbage, too much tailgating (5:3010:3014:20) and from what i can tell sudden brakes at 11:14, this immediately makes your opinion invalid
Honestly they need to see this video. I swing on a hill instead of hitting someone and i get ban for reckless driving. They are disgusting and they take the fun out of it. At the end of the day its jus a GAME
Funnily enough, they did see this video. Some guy from the TMP Game Mod team commented some really shitty message then deleted it a few hours later haha
I think if you were somehow able to add a Barrier/blockage to cities to help keep numbers down all it would really do is cause congestion at the barriers. What I think would be a better Idea is to make it so when the destination city is clogged, you aren't able to get a job to that city until numbers go down. I hope that make sense. Thoughts?
You do know the mods dont even have to be on the server to kick you, it happened to a friend recently, he got really stuck and instead of pushing f7 and getting recovered to drive 100 miles back to us we tried to help him out of it (winter mod was on btw and we were in the scottish islands so nobody about except us) well they kicked us and banned us because the mod was watching my stream. ive not been on tmp for about 2 months now since it happened. Also wish they would ban everyone from using double trailers anywhere on tmp as 99.9999999% of people who have one dont have a clue how to fucking drive them and get stuck
Got my first ban in 5 years, for 30 days, all because the truck in front braked harshly and to avoid colliding hard with him, I braked hard and swerved left a bit, tapping the guy in the opposite lane, one of the reasons for the ban was "intentional" overtaking, after showing my side, the overtaking reason got removed, but the 30 days were not altered. Then you see people doing stuff way worse and all they get is a kick. Not saying I wasn't at fault, but 30 days seemed excessive for a first time offense.
I have played it in 2015-2018 it was a great time for me, but I sold my PC. Never got banned or kicked. But I can confirm, there are bad Moderators and even Admins. Back in the days there where like 4000+ People on Server 1 and even Server 2 was filled like 50%. I have checked it sometimes and I noticed Truckersmp lost alot of players. Still had a great time
While I agree with everything you're saying, if the gameplay in this video is you driving, you're following waaaaaaay too close to trucks in front of you. A truck in front of you should be able to slam their brakes and you should still have plenty of room to also stop. typically you should be following at least 4 seconds behind them but you're always only 1 truck and trailer length behind at best.. usually only 1 second behind tops / only 1 cab length behind. Also you're on the gas way too quick at stops making all those small collisions when the guy in front of you stops. Everyone else is making these driving mistakes as well but so are you. And you may be thinking "If I leave a big gap someone will just move into it" and yes, that's generally how merging works... you just have to continue to make more room.
I was thinking the same. TruckersMP drivers in general leave so little room for each other and have such impatience that by attempting to save 2-3 seconds they end up creating huge traffic jams and confusions. When i drive 60 in a 50 zone, people honk.
I'm with you brother, valid points. Glad that I'm not alone to feel that way. Some players also need to grow up, to separate between intentional or accidental.
the worst players in tmp are always the skoda drivers who think theyre entitled to everything because they have a smaller vehicle and the 7 year olds in neon colored trucks
I’m glad that they’ve now made the whole of Duisburg a non-collision zone, still doesn’t help the intersection just outside of the town but in town it’s a lot better now.
@@eksitas it will get expand as time passes and scs is currently working on it .I belive scs will bring more good moderation and more fun multiplayer experience .

@@-drakeypants-556 witnessed people recording you but mods and admins made you quit tmp , i believe your logic. I know people drive 110 and dont get banned. 120 km/h you can drive only for a moment downhill.
I have played over 500 hours euro truck, but When the Update with Max 110 speed limit came. I Got really bored, and now i don’t play it anymore and it’s sad
All of the issues you suggested only happen on the CD road... you only use that road because it's busy. For example, you have to go out your own way to drive on the CD road because the Satnav gives you a faster route. Driving the CD road is your own risk and it's more or less to be taken as fun to seriousness, as if you were being serious, you'd take the the motorway route which is faster and much more realistic. The moderation issue is somewhat bad but I've seen a massive improvement over the last year, if you drive correctly then you aren't gonna be banned. For example, when you said you were banned for hitting someone, you probably did something else such as overtaking them incorrectly and hitting them. Finally, when you said about them hitting the brakes, you were at fault. You also related the winter mod to being broken when the point of it is so it's like ice. I can also say after watching the clips, you hit people on many occasions, most of the time infact, you get very close to them at high speeds and fail to brake. If your reactions time are a bit slower, maybe change the brake intensity. The people in the comments who agree most likely cannot drive either and blame it on other apart from themselves. I see it all the time, the people who constantly shout recording and ban when it's their fault. Finally, it's very hard to manage such large servers and for it to be 100% calm and ok. You can't hire more moderators either, because there's also requirements that you have to fulfil to become one. Though, some points are valid, the moderators do think they are superior to everyone, which I guess you could argue are but then again like to show off their powers a lot. I can see the game moderation team needing a reform. You have to respect the other departments though, such as the support team and community moderators who are amazing, helpful and respectful people who are just players like us. They don't use their power for privilege. In my opinion, you have completely alluded all of your faults that resulted in you being banned. All the points you suggested are completely invalid and have no sense behind them. You have hearted all the comments that agree with you, but the comments that disagree with you with very valid points are either deleted or sent to the bottom of the comment section. People take this game way to seriously such as people in the comments, it's a game, enjoy it or don't play it. You also made me laugh when you had the audacity to relate the game to real life car accidents, because nothing in ETS2 and ATS2 is similar to real life driving. Edit: I'm not a game moderator and don't intend on becoming one. I just find the stated arguments are quite poorly argued and have major flaws to them.
i have another suggestion for city control what they could do is keep the teleporting but have multiple teleport points and if they are on a current job the time should be extended along with the money they make that is what i have thought in the past couples years of me playing
very accurate video, most of those situations have also happened to me for the last 3 years. especially when its just a tap and there's minor damage caused to the other driver. Followed by a month ban. The Moderators really do need to fix there shit together. Ive given up on the community if anything, Its not the TMP that I remembered way back long ago, Swapped to the flight simming community and its much more friendlier
The only reason why I don’t play truckersMP is simply that there is no ai traffic because of sync issues. So if you just drive alone and serious you will drive forever on empty roads which is so immersion breaking, that I simply can’t play it. And like nearly no one who play TruckersMP seems to have a good understanding of traffic laws. How can you crash multiple times into another truck? Then you clearly did not keep enough space between you and the one in front of you. And just in general, the people drive like crazy
4:40 in germany you actually have to pay a fine when you accidentally hit a car while parking, admit to it and call the police for "causing an accident".
while tmp has its own pros and cons ( the main one being ban hammer) i like tmp more than the scs mp cuz it allows more players. i have 86 mil in ets and sometimes its just boring doing the same over and over again. thats why sometimes its just intresting seeing other ppl crash and the toxic 12 year olds scream in the mic and even bad drivers.
Yeah, of course right now that's the biggest draw towards TMP, but hopefully once SCS get around to working on convoy, we can get the same, if not better functionality compared to TMP
They should add so that if there are more than say 50 players in one city "ghost mode" is enabled, so that there is no collision and you can simply drive through all the other trucks. That would solve the traffic problem.
I agree with everything you said. But I do think you forgot one thing, that is the community. A lot of the drivers are so petty too. You make a minor mistake, and like you said, if they were recording they'll report you for that dumb mistake you did, and the staff team will ban you without listening your side of the history. A few days ago, I was doing Calais-Duisburg. The truck in front of me was lagging really bad and I was keeping a safe distance. Shortly after leaving Calais the truck lags really badly, which caused me to hit its trailer accidentally. But, consequently, the force of the crash, made my truck flip to oncoming lanes, and there was a truck coming exactly when I crashed, and this truck hit mine also. So far, just a normal accident (btw the crash video is on my channel if you wanna see it, it is the last ETS2 video). But the problem is, the driver who crashed into my truck got super mad, started insulting me, he even had the audacity to say that I was blocking the road. After yelling at me he said he would report and get me banned for blocking and ramming. Like, bro what? Note, one more ban and I get permanent ban. So far I haven't been banned, maybe their report got declined, I don't know. I was permanently banned since 2018 and got unbanned 2 weeks ago because the evidence video was invalid (and the reason for my ban was really dumb, blocking. When I actually crashed my truck and it wasn't working so I stood there for a while, not on purpose). Since I got unbanned I've been driving really carefully. So let's say this was a close call, almost got banned again for a silly reason.
Haven't logged onto to TMP in 6 months, the other day I went on just to see, and it seems that only the most petty and loyal players are still online, the community just felt so toxic to anyone who has ever been banned or anyone who wouldn't be 100% loyal to the TMP overlords, got so fed up I logged off after 20 mins
I got banned by a guy that makes around 10 reports every single day. Most of them being just cutting somebody off because u don't see them etc.The ban was 15 days because of a small mistake i swear these turkish drivers drive me insane. They drive like idiots but when you make a small mistake they report you instantly+ the music that they put on the Radio is absoluty trash
I agree with that 100%, I was banned from that damn game 5 times until I got a permanent ban, and I swear to god it was all unfairness because of their STUPID POLICY and my inability to give proof because I can't record while playing because my computer is hardly can run the game. Of course, after that I had to buy the two games again (ETS2 & ATS) and their DLCs, and besides all that too, there is something I have said and will keep saying that the in-game reporting system is USELESS USELESS USELESS and most will agree with me on this, they are disgusting .
Honestly, I agree and disagree, My experience on ETS2/TMP has been pretty 50/50. My experience with moderation is improving in my opinion, and I sure hope it isn't just primarily luck here. Firstly, hitting the back of a truck isn't their fault and I understand that it is an accident but still, it's something you can control. While I agree that any ban over a week for a minor fender bender like that is pretty insane, it shouldn't go completely unnoticed. Secondly, the winter mod where you slide over the place isn't exactly "broken" - but I agree that it could be changed in a way that makes it easier for both parties (with and without the mod) - but in the end I really like the idea of a drivers license with points, it should really help with the incidents that occur and moderation of bad driving
So true when I was in the repair area this guy got mad that I drive through him even though the repair area is packed and your able to drive through other vehicles then he ended up finding something to report me for…
honestly, watching this video makes it feel like the best way not to get banned is to start AGGRESSIVELY reporting others yourself, someone break checks you? report them before they can report you.
honestly i fulle agre with you man, their moderation system is breaking the game indeed, small issues gets people banned but mayor issue just get people kicked from their, the following happened to me recently, i pulled into a parkinglot to make a u-turn, while i was in the middle of making that u-turn a truck just rammed me without braking while he could see me making that u-turn, reported me and i got banned for a week for ramming him and reckless driving, when i asked for proof where making a u-turn on a parking is considered reckless driving they coulndt give me a propper answer, but wasnt the best part yet, i reported that guy who rammed me with the same video and i got the answer that the video was inconclusive and they gave me a warning for using that video, my opinion is olso, that they are using to many kids who don't know nothing about roadtraffic rules in real life, and they apply their own roadrules, if it were me i would ante up the minimum age for gamemoderators and have them do a test about roadtraficrules
All these points are 100% accurate. This mod has great potential, although the moderation isn't fair at ALL. As a new player disobey I did remember getting banned for 1 week for applying my brakes 100% when there was an accident just happened in front and I've tried to avoid rear ending the person in front of me and my truck ended up hitting an oncoming truck which I've gotten punished for. Such brainless way to punish someone without knowing if the player is innocent or guilty, and even if they were trolling it's best to have a ladder system of punishment. An example is that if you're a new player you should get a warning message than a ban straight away for a 1 week or more which is excessive. After that period of being a new player, let's say a month from now you are expected to follow rules and a ban should be issued 1 day, 3 day, 14 days, etc.
One of my friends played truckersmp and got banned because of reckless driving and collision. The moderator banning him said that he crashed into him intentionally, when he was the one that cut him off while he was turning.
I've had a good time om TMP (back when the w900 was just announced & released), but I'm also coming from a different experience. Mainly larger roads, and fewer cities. Can't say anythin' about the mods though. It took a boycott for them to understand that we can go 5mph over the speed limit, and turn right on red. Damn idiots.
@@sampsondog1398 yeah. That was fun. In my server though, it was the dealer in Elko. Administration gave us 15 minutes or be banned. (Thus the boycott)
No AI traffic, too many trolls, people stick to the extremely busy area's so you can't pickup or deliver your cargo, infamous roads to avoid like the plague even if it forces you to either avoid a entire area or go around the long way, too many kids that have no sense of what the game really is about, hackers, cheaters, abusers of the winter mod physics, people ignoring simple road rules, The admins are indeed horrible, I mentioned this to many different admins and over twitter and yet they keep saying there is nothing wrong, they work with excellent people that get training blah blah blah. All talk but no hard proof that they are such amazing people and do their work just fine. I ran into a mod that was racing on Promods 1, slammed into me while I was doing the speed limit and following the rules to the letter. No 'sorry I should have done this somewhere else' or something like that. No, I was kicked before I could even utter a word or realize what happened. The specific mod was even laughing at me when I told what happened in the chat of an admin and on other twitch streams. I was not allowed to say such things because It was not true every time. Yet this same person has been thrown off the TMP team and later got banned himself for the very thing he did to me. Another admin, and this one I will name because of the severity of the event and aftermath, Speedy_tmp. This guy decided to abuse his powers all the time, even showing it on his twitch channel, which is a clear violation of twitch rules to start with. However he did also this towards me after lies went around to boost a specific channel and I had to serve as victim for this. This female streamer decided to call me out for calling her fat and other things while I never said that, even there was fabricated 'proof' which clearly was photoshopped. This female streamer along with her entire VTC went berserk against me calling me all kinds of names, even wishing me death and clear death threats against me. This Speedy_TMP decided to say on stream that if he would see me in-game he would ban me instantly only for the reason that he wanted to believe 1 side only, which is her side. Even with offering context by multiple people who tried to help me sort this thing out, he didn't want to believe it and even decided to ban those that tried to tell him the truth. Even the leader of the TMP admin staff told me to shut up and don't mention it again. The winter mod is actually perfectly doable. I drive with it and have no issues. So that means if you know how to drive with it you can actually perfectly drive without too much trouble. Slow down a bit, try to learn it in a area that isn't crowded or offline and you should be able to drive just fine. I have no drivers license, I never played a driving game before. Yet I can drive very good and following the rules without any incidents. Even learning on my own how to back up a b-double trailer. So the fact that you can't seem to be bothered to learn how to drive with a winter mod on, it actually a you problem. I however do agree that adding this mod, or any others that are not checked, verified and where needed fixed shouldn't be allowed on. If they ban even simple mods that add some more customization to your truck/trailer then why the hell would it be a good idea to add in a physics mod that is clearly being abused and giving you more admin duties then needed. The same counts for editing your files to have 3 trailers instead of the vanilla 2 or the interior/exterior edits that people love to do (may it be only your side or not doesn't matter) Ban these people and stop people to even login if they have any sort of mod or game change that isn't vanilla, period. The punishment system can never be properly 'fixed'. The simple reason being that if you have morons to do the admin work, your outcome will be stupid as well. Specially if you allow these admins to stream on any platform just in order so they can show how good and wholesome their work really is, it asking for trouble. Admins and other TMP staff should be permanently banned from streaming their admin work as this very thing makes them 'famous' in a internet way, the more people that watch and cheer them on, the more stupid things they decide to do to grow their channels instead of making good decisions for sane reasons. This drivers license thing I also pitched but they told me to shut up and it was a stupid idea according to multiple admins.
This video is now 1 year old, convoys are a thing now so I dont need TruckersMP, but a few years back me and my friends tried TruckersMp and It was hell, I saw videos online of citys full of people when we got there, the server only had like 100 people playing so everything felt like a ghost town, the rules are weird and we got kicked out like thousand times because we forgot to put the damn lights on, we finally came across someone and what did he do? he punted us, but he doesnt get kicked because he had his lights on.
I just got banned for a week for passing one singular guy on an empty road and when i tried to appeal they added an extra 2 hours to it and tried to gaslight me that they didnt
As much as I like TruckersMP and for as long as I've played it, I understand all your points. Some things have improved a bit like Duisburg is now NCZ (but then it creates a chokepoint going out of there). I mainly play on Promods or DLC areas too and it's a world of difference from the main base game area. I have personally experienced some of these too, like the Duisburg gridlock, people spamming REC BAN or just straight up inaudible screaming, and more than my fair share of trolls who launch me into the map. I do also think they could tone down a bit with being realistic, it's just a game in the end. I think they should make a server that's like more realistic (basically the sim servers) and then some that still have collisions and trolls but they're more casual. And if the trolls keep getting banned from the sim server, they should be limited to the casual/troll one (could be integrated with your points system idea, where if you have x amount of points you should play on those servers for x amount of time) Also, I think the mods should be a bit more lighter with the ban hammer. I've noticed some have been but others have threatened to kick me because I had one tire on the shoulder. And then the people who are like "Why do you play TruckersMP" should just go play GTA Wannabe Cop rp (aka FiveM) and do anything minor and get banned
Imagine if you got a automatic 1-day ban for saying shit like "rec" or "ban" in chat, that would purge the cancer that is killing TruckersMP very quickly.
I remember a youtuber named tony747, he was driving with a moderator which he was pretty well with and probably friends then he was involved in a accident which wasn't his fault and he got banned, the moderator realized what he done and unbanned Tony and apologized.
hopefully most if not all of these have been resolved, i don't play the game since i can't but i do have the game ready for when i have the pc and equipment to play it
And you guys know what's the best part?? If an admin makes a mistake and we report that to higher authority they do literally nothing and to add to this they even cover their admin's @$$ as if they never made a mistake. And if a player wants some detailed clarification on these rules work, they just say " we cannot discuss them with you since you are not a TMP staff " as if they were running " Area 51 ". And a GML ( Game Moderator Leader) says " Saying 'F U' in chat is not a bannable offence but saying idiot to someone is a bannable offence. I was like ' are u fkin out of your mind???
100% agreed. There where some trucks parked on the road causing a traffic jam. I safely tried to overtake them. I got banned for it. Saying i could t overtake. Guess i will have to wait in line for hours because someone went afk in the middle of the road
Even tho you make a smart move which is bit out of the rules to avoid crashes or other stuff they ban you even if you didnt disturb other players. They will copy paste the same rule section in the appeal and dont even listen to you (happened to me many times where i made a smart move to avoid big crashes). These type of things should be valid for appealing a ban
I haven't played TruckersMP yet, I checked out this video while considering weather or not to play it. As for the issue with traffic jams they could make it more realistic by having the exit ramps leading into a city blocked to prevent players from entering. They could block them with a broken down truck with traffic cones and a police car to make it look a little realistic or better yet, don't offer contracts that go to/from that city if there are already over a certain number of people in that city or heading towards that city. I'm glad I checked out this video before deciding to buy the missing DLC I would need and the time to download/setup the mod because after watching this, I'm not sure this is right for me.
2 years later: Durisburg had an overhaul which cleaned up some of the traffic to a point. Game moderation is still dogwater. Actually had a blocker at the C-D road railroad crossing (Not a mod, moron in a pilot car), took 20 minutes of people reporting and me literally PINNING the guy to a wall for a mod to come around. Winter mod related: There is fine print on the website that says you're still liable for your truck and trailer when the mod is enabled, and it is an optional mod ADDON to Frosty Winter, so you don't have to download it to be on TMP. I actually pull the physics addon before getting on an orginized convoy (I'm with a VTC as a driver). If you can't control your car with that addon, remove it
I've been considering trying truckersMP. I'm not a big online game guy because of idiots who break immersion with immaturity and hate. Thanks to your video, you've saved me time and headache and I think I will pass. Thanks!
I had already seen this video 1 year ago, and on Tuesday 12/05 I went back to playing truckers mp just to remember, and I made one of the biggest mistakes possible that caused me a ban of 1 week and 5 days, I went to leave the side of the track, where most people are parked, and I forgot to wait for the game to load, when it loaded I saw that I lifted 7 trucks into the air because I couldn't see, they called me a hack and other things, I accepted and logically apologized, 5 of them accepted apologies but, It wasn't enough, the next day I found out I was banned, I have it on video but that's it. Moderation doesn't want to know, whether it was unintentional or not, did something wrong in traffic? It's going to be banned, it's always like that, I wish they would improve this quickly. I agree with everything you said, I think you in moderation would be a lot of help, for them. (edit) let's remember that we have a lot of corrupt game-moderators on the team
My first day in ETS2 TMP i got lost in duisburg and got banned for driving the wrong side of the road. The moderator did not care to hear my side of the story, It was just F me.
Stopped watching the video after you crashed into the guy with the trailer at 3:46. Yeah, he can report you. Yeah, you'll get banned. Because you're driving too close. You hit him and then you keep following him literally 10 meters behind him. You can't stop at that distance in time and it's all your fault.
I dont really feel the part about the break checking bs and the overhanging blocking part... It's a rule not to be on the lane when you're gonna get off the road. Next is, where do we put the limit. How far on the road is too far. Just park your truck the right way. But yes some love to report the smallest things.
Mptrucker are ruined by childrens. I had a report where the players drives clear reckless but they found it normal and using a copy paste text where they saying its kickable in game. I came back but its even whorse so i stopped now permanently. Mptrucker is running definitely ny a bunch of children's.
Straight facts, i called some bloke who rammed into me an idiot and i got banned for a week, appealed it and got 3 days off, just how ignorant mods can be in those situations
12:41 I literally got banned for the same reason, i overttook someone and my trailer didnt even touch this guy and i was banned 20 days for that, and it was my first ban...
I've been playing in single player for few years, after I get my new computer, I joined TMP finally. Yes I enjoy meeting new friends there, playing with my friends and so on. But I start finding bad moderation really affect the game, they require players to follow to EU road laws and signage, also TMP rules. However, on the other hand, some of the mods said "as there were very few players around and non of them were harmed in this incident nor did they overtake anyone inappropriately" when there are someone taking shortcut in roundabout which is on wrong direction, or "Indeed the user did enter the wrong way into the fuel station. Other than that, I don't see anything else that is Reckless Driving or breaking any other rule. The user did pull put off the fuel station, and you failed to slow down in time and then go really close." Oh come on, I failed to slow down when that player come up suddenly, are you kidding me? Also, such cases are not punished, those mods omitted the severity, it's not worth a ban unless it's gonna to be shituation? To be honest, a short ban like 2~4 days would warn most of them, kicks are for minor stuff, if this is not gonna change, things would just keep getting worse because those players feel nothing besides a kick. I'm not saying there aren't good moderators, just need a change, also appreciated their effort in keeping the enviroment playable.
Looking at the video, you claimed that people "slam their brakes" causing you to ram them. The thing is you are literally already on their bumper before they brake. You need to leave more space before claiming others are "idiots" for "slamming their brakes". If you use the winter physics mod (again, using it is COMPLETELY optional) and you lose control of your trailer making it crash into another player - that, again, is your problem. You decided to use the mod, you are responsible. Implementing "barriers" at cities will do nothing more than causing more large queues which would cause even more problems. The problem with traffic being congested is that 50% of the drivers do not cooperate and the other 50% runs red lights, rams others and doesn't know how to drive.
Seriously though, this whole video he's tailgating people up their ass while preaching about people driving unsafe in front of him. I always leave at least three quarters a truck's width (with trailer) between me and the driver in front, any closer than that then I'm sorry but it's always the fault of the guy behind. Also agree with you on the winter mod too, if this guy is tailgating this much in regular vanilla ETS, I can't imagine how dangerously he drives in winter conditions, I saw the video in the description and he braked so hard that the trailer literally whipped to the side. I feel like aggressive offensive drivers like this guy shouldn't have a say in how "dangerous" other drivers are, they're part of the problem one way or another.
Two years later - it is the same old service. Sadly they have no plans on fixing it at all. BUT the moderators had become dummer or had transformed into 5 year olds. A zombie is more active than a moderator in TMP.
What I am interested in is TruckersMP structure. Some time ago there was a update for ETS2 that TruckersMP wasnt ready for. And so they advised to roll back your update to be able to play on TruckersMP. All understandable...untill you get to a point that it says they have around or under 5 people capable of making the patch and they be working hard to patch it...then when you look at truckersmp it says it have 300+ people as a staff. So what you have 280 power-tripping admins, 10 highups, 5 wherever and 5 people actually working on the mod ?
The main problem is Kids thats being Admins, I got banned for overtaking a truck and the incoming lane was clear, and I wasn't driving recklessly, I Appealed the proof yet they rejected it. Honestly I'm very disappointed and I don't understand that there's any alternatives to truckers MP
I have been falsely banned for Blocking when i was rolled over on the CB Route, I was on my screen already in the F7 Menu, But due to my PC not being the best, I stayed there from them, Instead of going around me because there was no one coming the other way, They wait and ram me for no reason
I once got banned for my Group Tag being I kid you not „ø gang“ while I was on the most northern part of the map with no player anywhere near but that power hungry moderator somehow exclusively located me and banned me for Criminal Activity or some shit like that because apparently having gang in your name implies you are 100% criminal. When I told him I had this tag for almost 2 years now and no one said anything he said „yeah not many moderators care but it’s actually banable:)“.
Great vid, I love what the TruckersMP team does and appreciate their hard work so I hope to see things improve in the future :)
I'd also like to say it's great to hear you offering some solutions to these problems as well as mentioning them.
Its better in my opinion that there is no moderator then abusive moderators ^^
But I kinda like the Solutions you offer like the driving license xD
@@DarkmomoDraconia yeah I agree, I've been on TMP for a while and it's improved a bit, but there's still a long way for them to go. I think driving licenses would be a great addition haha, makes it more realistic

I'm 5 minutes into the video and I can't take you serious when your driving is garbage
5:40 you are literally tailgating the guy, so don't get surprised when you get banned for rear ending him. smh
my exact thought, one lag and hes DONE for
I dont understand why duisburg is so busy and the rest of the map you could drive around and be lucky to see 1 other player has never made sence to me
so true
fax
these days its the reputation its busy you will meet many(to many) other players and that why more players drive there also rotterdam and calais were very busy before all the map expensions because the map was smaller and england was quite popular and the navagation tends to send you over parts of what is now known as the DC road so over time it gained a reputation which atracted more people which became a cycle that goes on to this day
not a dlc needed road (c-d) its not a motorway it had a railway crossing and windy roads
I played 3,000km playing 3 hours a day through the maps and if I see 5 players on those runs it's a "good night" otherwise the whole map is empty part from north east germany and north france (c-d road)
Just a side note / gripe, it seems your following the truck in front of you pretty closely often
I normally keep a 4-6 second barrier behind them, especially if they lagspike
hahah he tailgating
He's literally the kind of driver that causes a server like this to implement harsh punishments. He is tailgating, drives into the middle of intersections and gets crashed into by coming traffic, etc.
mf assumes everyone has the same avg ping as him
I'm so happy they added multiplayer convoys. I can now play with friends in the game, keep the AI traffic and I don't have to deal with any of this bullshit ever again.
About the first issue: Just don't drive fucking 1m away the dude in front of you just like IN REAL LIFE
It's a shame to see they haven't changed in the slightest since back when the mod first released. It's not hard to manage shit like this. You make some rules, you enforce them, you try to think of your feet to fill in gaps, and you accept evidence to ban/overturn bans. It seems that everything is missing and still has been missing for years.
Maybe try to apply to become part of staff to make changes you think is right then?
@@savagekingtexas_3990 Someone proposing common sense ideas is not a basis to justify absence of those efforts from the existing moderation. "Do it yourself then" is just as terrible of a response as the "don't play it then" that was mentioned in the video.

Kekw. Trying to apply to be a part of the staff that probably has a requirement of "I don't give a shit - attitude" and "lack of soul"
@@dadd8978 Ok... well to moderate anything you need a straightforward, unbiased attitude.
I couldn't agree with you more.
totally agree with you there. ive never had an issue playing on mp, getting wronly banned etc. but i leave space for myself to react, and for others to manoeuvre if they need to. theres not much you can change about the way others play or the mods work, so you generally have to adapt.
They don't care if you are new to TMP or not, instant hit the hammer of ban, and kinda low in transparency about length of ban.
I have been unfairly punished too much which leads me to have a ban history, this causes me to have me banned for 3 months in my next bans if this goes on which will certainly come, like only just saying retard or flying outta a corner and clipping someone because of my chassis
@@RX7Drifterat this point I’d just change MAC address and everything else
The admins are jerks. You can’t even overtake, just bullshit.
@@War_maN333He wasn’t keeping a safe distance. Do you have trucks in your country?
3 long years and then they saw it was not my fault.
driving in duisburg is just asking for problems

Its a lot of map work for them probably but it would flow waaaay better I’m sure.
exactly
The rant literally describes your gameplay in the background, pure garbage, too much tailgating (5:30 10:30 14:20) and from what i can tell sudden brakes at 11:14, this immediately makes your opinion invalid
@@ImmAdam dude cmon what did he said?
Never had any issues with TMP
I think if you were somehow able to add a Barrier/blockage to cities to help keep numbers down all it would really do is cause congestion at the barriers. What I think would be a better Idea is to make it so when the destination city is clogged, you aren't able to get a job to that city until numbers go down. I hope that make sense. Thoughts?
aaaand yet again there will be a queue of people trying to get a well-paying job from a big congested city.
TruckersMP just has a monopoly that is why they can do what they want if there was competition they couldn't act like that
Thank god for SCS Multipalyer, hopefully they develop it better and soon it'll overtake TMP
"We're the only ones supplying the people's need. They have to comply with us"...... Ruined
A monopoly is usually the root of all problems.
Whenever I drive on TMP I always keep my distance so I won't hit the person in front of me even when they lag that's how I avoid crashes.
Also wish they would ban everyone from using double trailers anywhere on tmp as 99.9999999% of people who have one dont have a clue how to fucking drive them and get stuck
also fuck the cd road
My main issue is that people are way too eager to overtake
Duisburg is now one mass no-collision zone fortunately.
5:05 i mean you were driving way to close to him so u should have backed up a bit so he couldnt try to get u banned for ramming
And you may be thinking "If I leave a big gap someone will just move into it" and yes, that's generally how merging works... you just have to continue to make more room.
well not keeping distance is mostly the case for accidents in TMP
@@Catonaut. yes, that’s what I said
I was thinking the same. TruckersMP drivers in general leave so little room for each other and have such impatience that by attempting to save 2-3 seconds they end up creating huge traffic jams and confusions. When i drive 60 in a 50 zone, people honk.
I once got told to ‘learn to drive’ by someone on the wrong side of the road
I'm with you brother, valid points. Glad that I'm not alone to feel that way. Some players also need to grow up, to separate between intentional or accidental.
The lack of separation between intentional crashes and legitimate accidents that caused little damage is what pisses me off most about TMP
the worst players in tmp are always the skoda drivers who think theyre entitled to everything because they have a smaller vehicle and the 7 year olds in neon colored trucks
@@sampsondog1398 I found the same 😆 They expect free (real) accident game in multiplayer.
I’m glad that they’ve now made the whole of Duisburg a non-collision zone, still doesn’t help the intersection just outside of the town but in town it’s a lot better now.

it will not cuz the offical mp allows only 8 people
@@eksitas it will get expand as time passes and scs is currently working on it .I belive scs will bring more good moderation and more fun multiplayer experience .
very small of you. you dont want to play tmp then dont play but wishing tmp get inactive because you dont like it its very stupid and im sure you are just a troll. i and my friends play tmp and we dont have problems with admins... just trolls have
@@ThePaderborners I drive good, got in one minor accident the due I even hit even said it’s okay but a whiteness reported me. But people can go 120 down main road and get banned.
I just find the stated arguments are quite poorly argued and have major flaws to them.
agreed
i have another suggestion for city control what they could do is keep the teleporting but have multiple teleport points and if they are on a current job the time should be extended along with the money they make that is what i have thought in the past couples years of me playing
very accurate video, most of those situations have also happened to me for the last 3 years. especially when its just a tap and there's minor damage caused to the other driver.

Finally someone that thinks alike!
This is the sole reason I don’t play on truckersMP atm… nice vid btw!
while tmp has its own pros and cons ( the main one being ban hammer) i like tmp more than the scs mp cuz it allows more players. i have 86 mil in ets and sometimes its just boring doing the same over and over again. thats why sometimes its just intresting seeing other ppl crash and the toxic 12 year olds scream in the mic and even bad drivers.
Some very good points, reasonable and you nailed it.

Honestly this helpped me out as im new to TMP and i needed to know what too look out for, now i know. thank you!
I strongly agree with this.
I salute you for such a BRILLIANT way to fix it.
And greetings from the US.
I come in piece.
honestly i fulle agre with you man, their moderation system is breaking the game indeed, small issues gets people banned but mayor issue just get people kicked from their, the following happened to me recently, i pulled into a parkinglot to make a u-turn, while i was in the middle of making that u-turn a truck just rammed me without braking while he could see me making that u-turn, reported me and i got banned for a week for ramming him and reckless driving, when i asked for proof where making a u-turn on a parking is considered reckless driving they coulndt give me a propper answer, but wasnt the best part yet, i reported that guy who rammed me with the same video and i got the answer that the video was inconclusive and they gave me a warning for using that video, my opinion is olso, that they are using to many kids who don't know nothing about roadtraffic rules in real life, and they apply their own roadrules, if it were me i would ante up the minimum age for gamemoderators and have them do a test about roadtraficrules
Damn idiots.
i remember back when ats mp had a lot of players, just sitting at the kw dealer in phoenix watching ban after ban
@@sampsondog1398 yeah. That was fun. In my server though, it was the dealer in Elko. Administration gave us 15 minutes or be banned. (Thus the boycott)

No AI traffic, too many trolls, people stick to the extremely busy area's so you can't pickup or deliver your cargo, infamous roads to avoid like the plague even if it forces you to either avoid a entire area or go around the long way, too many kids that have no sense of what the game really is about, hackers, cheaters, abusers of the winter mod physics, people ignoring simple road rules,
The admins are indeed horrible, I mentioned this to many different admins and over twitter and yet they keep saying there is nothing wrong, they work with excellent people that get training blah blah blah.
The problems you raised three years ago, are still very much prominent today.
TruckersMP in a nutshell... so thankful for SCS Convoy mode
And if the trolls keep getting banned from the sim server, they should be limited to the casual/troll one (could be integrated with your points system idea, where if you have x amount of points you should play on those servers for x amount of time)
Also, I think the mods should be a bit more lighter with the ban hammer.
I remember a youtuber named tony747, he was driving with a moderator which he was pretty well with and probably friends then he was involved in a accident which wasn't his fault and he got banned, the moderator realized what he done and unbanned Tony and apologized.
hopefully most if not all of these have been resolved, i don't play the game since i can't but i do have the game ready for when i have the pc and equipment to play it
Finally someone who understands, great vid telling the truth, been on tmp since mid 2020 and nothing changed a bit in terms of moderation
Its gotten to the point where im afraid to overtake anyone on any road so i just have to endure their speed if they dont speed up.
I find it hilarious (and frustrating) that i can look away for 2 seconds and instantly get PIT or smashed into head on
100% agreed.
LOL i get this video recommended exactly as I've gotten banned because of the EXACT scenario you have given as an example.
I totally agree with you. The admins and moderators don't care about their players. Their servers are shockingly bad the server's are so laggy.
My first day in ETS2 TMP i got lost in duisburg and got banned for driving the wrong side of the road. The moderator did not care to hear my side of the story, It was just F me.

Yeah, he can report you. Yeah, you'll get banned. Because you're driving too close. You hit him and then you keep following him literally 10 meters behind him. You can't stop at that distance in time and it's all your fault.
3 hours after I joined, I got hit with a 7 day ban for accidentally clipping the guardrail. MY GOD!!
I dont really feel the part about the break checking bs and the overhanging blocking part... It's a rule not to be on the lane when you're gonna get off the road. Next is, where do we put the limit. How far on the road is too far. Just park your truck the right way. But yes some love to report the smallest things.

I came back but its even whorse so i stopped now permanently. Mptrucker is running definitely ny a bunch of children's.
luckily ets now added private convoys in their base game, so i guess thats just an obviously better way of playing with friends.
Straight facts, i called some bloke who rammed into me an idiot and i got banned for a week, appealed it and got 3 days off, just how ignorant mods can be in those situations
I’ve been saying this for awhile, but the CD road needs to be a highway, and not a small 2-lane road.
I agree mate! I hit someone because I was on keyboard and the person infront of me slammed there brakes and I couldn’t do anything, and I got banned.
The user did pull put off the fuel station, and you failed to slow down in time and then go really close."
Oh come on, I failed to slow down when that player come up suddenly, are you kidding me?
I feel like aggressive offensive drivers like this guy shouldn't have a say in how "dangerous" other drivers are, they're part of the problem one way or another.
i got a ban for a truck hitting me head on when he was in my lane ban was for reckless driving i appealed and it failed
