Car and paint looks really good, wheels set it off, old school Cragers, 262.5 was not a powerful motor, 115 HP maybe, had one in a Monza, put a built 283 back, but the Nova is sharp
Friend had one...took the 305 stock bottom end rebuilt, Isky 264 mega cam world products iron heads dual plane, Qjet..passed Ca smog, driven daily sounded good and got decent mpg. didnt have much in it but still looked good ran well.
Thats what I am talking about, a different model you don't see often, bit when done up nice like this, it's a treat. Halloween style. I do disagree with the difference between a 262-305-350. Especially between a 262 and 305. You are correct that tuning them right is key
Sure is a difference...but the good thing is I Bet its real easy on gas. Cant get interested in any new car for over 20 yrs...but this I could see as a daily.
Love it!! This is a reasonable $ way to get in the hobby drive something cool with ac every single day!! All id do is a dash mat, black cheapskins and Lloyd mats..light smoke tint maybe. REst is fine as is. I see a potential sleeper if there ever was one.
It's a nice car indeed. But let's not oversell the power train. You will never get any serious power from economy V8's like the 262, 305 or 307. They were simply not designed for power or torque. The early 283, 302, 327, and 350's on the other hand, would often come stock with power and the potential to be tuned to real screamers.
@@gordocarbo I guess it depends on three things - 1. Your definition of "wouldn't take much", 2. Whether you are talking gross or rwhp, & 3. what you consider good street manners. With modern heads, intake, and cam profiles, I think you can approach 300 rwhp with these engines. But going north of that would require more serious and costly modifications and impact the street manners - especially the smaller bore 305. And when all is said and done, if you'd have made those same mods to a 350 or 327, you'd have an entirely different (and better performing) beast. Both these engines were developed as economy line versions of chevy's other power plants - the 307 is a stroked 283 and the 305 is a de-stroked 350. So keep in mind that matching them with the better performing heads will be a challenge because of the smaller bore size.
Mi padre rip tenía un Ventura 76 misma caja y paso mal rato en impecciones por el frente del auto con policías Morones que no conocían los Pontiac Ventura era bell color azul🤍🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷

Glad they didn't put a bigass cowl hood on it; looks good.
As much as I love the cowl induction they are playyyyed out! Even ford and dodges have them lol
Great drone footage!!!!
Like put a built 350 ci In it! But I'd take it just way it is

It wouldnt take much to build a 350hp 305 or 307 that had decent manners and enough torque to be interesting.
