2024 NRA XC Amateur National Championship- 30+B

About a week before the race, I had the bright idea of racing Alex's 24 390 RE. I had never raced a 4 stroke and figured this would be a good time to give one a shot. Tuesday, before the race, we set the sag adjusted some clickers, and figured good enough. We were wrong. It wasn't good enough, haha. the rebound was way too fast, and it was bucking all over the place. If I leaned back to compensate for the shock, throwing me forward, the front would spring up to high. I did three laps like that and finally changed it when I stopped for fuel. The change made it way better, but I was already exhausted from fighting the bike for 3 laps. That being said, the bike was amazing. With some slight adjustments, and if I could figure out how to stop stalling it, I could really grow to love racing it. I finished 12th in class and 58 overall. if the suspension was where it needed to be from the start I think I could have done much better. It was an awesome race and I'm ready for the next one!
