Thank you so much for this recording! I'm playing intermezzo for my UIL solo and it's been very difficult getting an idea of what to sound like, and I think your playing was full passion! I hope to sound at least a fourth as good as you.
Hello, first of all I have to say that I am very impressed with your comment, thank you. I decided to play op 45 with a horn player friend and I couldn't find the note, can you send it to me please?
I love this interpretation, Sergey! So much, that I'm considering putting this on a recital. Would you mind sharing the music? Thanks in advance! Bravo!
Beautiful music brought to life by beautiful sounds. If you’re still active around here, would you be willing to talk about your vibrato sometime? I’m currently studying pedagogy and the use of vibrato on the horn is something I’m looking into quite extensively. I only ask because yours is my favorite of any player I’ve heard so far!
Wow your comment just made me very happy!! I rarely use vibrato intentionally, it comes naturally. In fact, I have to work very hard to make non vibrato when I play in orchestra or when I feel that vibrato doesn’t fit musically. If you’re interested, I can share some players who have wonderful vibratos :) All the best!
Very interesting! I've never heard of a horn player naturally using vibrato, it is certainly not something you hear often in the U.S. I would love some recommendations if you are willing to share!
@@joelandrews5 I must say Phil Myers, my former teacher and former principal of the New York Phil has this wonderful vibrato that is so gentle, but feels like the center of a note is moving. Also one of my all time favorite horn players is Jasper de Waal, who was principal of Amsterdam Concertgebouw. His vibrato is little more obvious but also so sensitive and sophisticated. Amazing musician!! And finally there’s my father, Alexander Akimov who also is amazing musician and his sound and vibrato had huge influence on me from very early on.
It was amazing, i am horn player too, and i need last one part ,,intermezzo" , can you give me this part, i want to play it on my horn but i cant find it , i wait you . Thanks ...
perfect, i really love it. you're good player. i woul like to listen more. i have a question, could you send me the waltz because i can't find it. thanks. sorry for my english but i'm improving it. good music
Very emotional playing, and a rich sound, bravo! I was looking for the waltz for horn, but can't find it, just the violin part in the op. 45, do you still have the music of these pieces? can you send it to me, or at least, let me know where to find/buy it, I'm a student from Chile, thanks you for sharing this video with us.

Wow I would love to play this for my senior recital. I have played Intermezzo for an audition before and I fell in love. Would there be anyway you could send me the music or at least the piano accompaniment? You did such an amazing job I am in awe
Hello, it is a good performance but I want to give you a very interesting detail about the Waltz. The Waltz that you played is in the Opus 45 not 35 and it is an arrangement for cello. It was a misunderstood or a fail in the edition! Please, change the info of the video! Thanks!!! Regards.
macapo thanks for watching! I know that's a beautiful piece too, but I just wanted to have one 'fast' movement instead of all four pieces being slow. :)
